Wishing everyone a safe and blessed day today. Thanking all those that have given their life in service to their country. Over at SOC the weekend card challenge was to create a patriotic card without using the tradional colors red, white and blue. I made this card using the Stand and Salute cricut cartridge and some paper from my scrap stash. Today I'm also thinking about family and friends that are longer here with us on earth.

Its Memorial Day weekend and the school year is winding down. Our daughter's schedule is packed with end of the year activities for school and girl scouts. This LO includes pictures from a recent school band concert. The band teacher used the concert to showcase the talents of band students from three different schools in the district. The concert was billed as a SOL (Standards of Learning) Stress Buster. The students were busy this week taking their SOLs.

As previously stated I started this journal last June and have yet to finish. I'm determined to be done by the end of this month. I am thankful for books and air conditioning on days 24 and 25 of last June. I have five more pages to complete

As the school year is ending I'm feeling the need to finish more LOs for DD's school year. This LO is of her class dance performance on Sunday. Minds in Motion is a collaborative effort with the Richmond Ballet, community leaders, corporate sponsors and school districts. It was a great experience for the children and the perfromance was great! The pictures aren't that great but I still needed to scrap the event!

I've been trying to use my stash so I made these cards. I'll be sending them right out in this week's mail. Now that I'm all done with May's birthdays and anniversaries I need to start working on June. Since I've been working on cards I haven't been able to work on my LOs which is putting me even further behind. I just need more hours in a day so I can scrap more!

I completed these two projects for DD's teachers for Teacher Appreciation Week. These projects aren't my originals you can find them on several crafting and informational websites. We sent flowers on Monday, thank you notes on Tuesday, desserts on Wednesday, I sent the bottled water w/tea on Thursday and today the post-it note holders, pen and a starbucks gift card.
