First Snow
Today's LO uses pictures from our first snow for winter 2013, it was beautiful coming down at night without too much fanfare. This particular LO is being submitted for challenges over at Scraps of Color for January's I Scrapbook, Therefore I AM challenge and the Use it or Lose it challenge over at Stampin' Dymonz Scrap Shack. It is a winter/snow theme LO (SOC) and the tool that I used was my SLICE for the title (Scrap Shack). I used a creative memories paper pack that inlcuded the stickers and the rhinesones (which you can't see in the picture) are from my stash.

Hot Chocolate Anyone!
We've had some really cold temps lately and just thinking about a warm cup of gourmet hot chocolate is so soothing! I don't drink coffee but I can drink hot chocolate all year long, it just so good with a serving of whip creme. So today's LO is one that I made for my smash book and for a challenge over at Scraps of Color where we were to scrap our favorite winter hot beverage (FWHB). The cup of hot chocolate was cut using my cameo and the title I cut the title with my cricut; I used two different cartridges but I can't remember which one now and the flowers are recollections! I worked on my daughter's smash book over the weekend, I may share some of its pages later. Have a good day and stay warm, we are expecting warmer temps within the next few days.

Swap Partner Reveal
I am excited and happy to share with you some 'happy mail' that I received earlier this week. Over at Scraps of Color I was participating in the Secret Sistah Holiday Swap, I've shared with you previously all of the goodies that I have received. Today I'm sharing a picture of the last gift that I received where the identity of my partner was revealed. I'm so happy that I was paired with such an awesome person, she has blessed with me so much and I am most grateful! I won't have to buy any scrappin' goodies for quite some time!

Wednesday Wanderings
Its so cold outside, I just want to curl up under the covers and sleep. I'm still trying to get over the loss of a friend (former co-worker), its just so hard right now. Its funny how life throws you curve balls that you never expect and anxiety just kicks in and everything is just thrown off. I just have to keep holding on to the fact that in the fullness of time all things will end well.
Over at Scraps of Color I am participating in a cricut cartridge exploration challenge. Today I'm sharing the anniversary card that I made using the Something to Remember cartridge. It is actually the project in the cartridge booklet, I used items from my stash including some paper that I received recently as a gift.

Families are Forever
Today as we celebrate the MLK holiday and the inauguration of President Obama for his second term I hope you'll take some time to reflect on how far our nation has come and remember that there is still more to be done!
Today I am sharing a LO that I created for the title page for our farmily reunion album, no its not done but I'm getting there! I went to a crop on Saturday and finished my altered rolodex cards for the swap and I was able to work on this LO and one other one too; so I felt it was a good scrappin' day. The LO uses a cut from the cameo and the cricut expression. All in all I was pleased with the LO after adding a few more embellishments after I took the picture so this is not the final LO.

TP Roll Revisited
Its Friday, the work day has gone by extremely fast since I came in on a little late. We got a little bit of snow last night and this morning there were problems with "black ice" and trees that fell because it had been raining for the last few days. So now I have my snow pictures to scrap for the season!
Today I'm sharing a fairly simple project that I made as a protoype for a swap that I'm in. I wanted to make one before I actually had to share/swap one with someone else. In keeping with my less is better theme I think it came out fairly cute! It is a toilet paper roll treat holder that I covered with paper from a black and white paper pack that I got on clearance from HL some time ago. I just glued the bottom of the roll with my hot glue gun, added a beaded handle and a few other embellishments and it was done! The strand of beads used for the handle was a RAK from Felisa over at The ScrapinDiva, and the lace on the bottom and the bling/gems were a RAK from Kenya over at Krafthead Kreations. I am thankful for my scrappin' friends as they are such a blessing, thanks again ladies. All other items used were from my stash, so there you have another less is better project by yours truly! Have a great weekend!

Whatever Wednesday
Its Wednesday and I wanted to share a post but didn't finish the project that I wanted to share today. Its rainy and cold outside here so I'd much rather be at home in the bed. The weather is causing havoc emotionally and physically right about now; it has been raining for the last three days. Today I'm sharing an altered rolodex card that I created as I was working on some for a swap over at Scraps of Color. The reason it takes me so long when I scrap is that I think I just put way too much into trying to step out of my zone. Its even harder for me create in extra small spaces but I still took on the task. I created several different rolodex cards and decided to share one of the cards that I decided not to use in the swap. The card that I decided to use in the swap is actually two-sided. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you'll visit again soon.
