Tigers Run This

Hello and Happy Friday, I am back today to share another LO that I completed for my daughter's school album.  I am never going to catch up but I want to try to get her school album current so everything else is being pushed back even though I have been working on some other projects, I am not sure I will whether I will share them or not.  I don't think I'll do anymore monthly LO challenges, I am good with doing one LO per week!

My daughter is a member of her school's running club and these pictures were taken the day they participated in the Monument Avenue 10K earlier this year.  The left side of the LO includes pictures taken before in the parking lot of the school and the right side includes pictures taken after some of them completed the race which ended at Monroe Park.  This is the first year where all participants received a medal.  I used they SLICE to cut the little runner, the Silhouette to cut the tiger head and the Expression to cut the medal and I used Thickers for the title.

Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a wonderful weekend.

Hello Thursday

Today I am sharing a LO that I wasn't sure I wanted to share, it's one of those LO where I only had one picture to choose from but you wanted to document the event.  I'm not sure what happened that I only took the one picture but I wasn't happy with it.  The LO documents my daughter's participation in her school's American History celebration earlier this year, she was a part of the timeline portion.  I just used misc. paper scraps and embellishments from my stash.  I used my SLICE and stickers to cut the title.  Another LO completed and added to my daughter's middle school book which I should have all done within the next month.

Take care and have a wonderful day.

Dad's Day

Hello Tuesday and back to work for me;  I am thankful for my job so I am not complaining!  So how was your weekend, did you do anything exciting?  As for me I went to another graduation party on Friday, a cookout on Saturday and church on Sunday.  I have really been resting for the last two days but I did manage to get some cleaning, organizing and playtime in!

Today's card is one that I put together, using scraps from my stash, some Spellbinders Nestabilities and some stamps from a Hero Arts set that I picked up last year.  I am sharing this card for  this week's  any holiday challenge over at Hiding in my Craft Room.

Take care and have a wonderful week.

FCCLA

My daughter is a member of an organization called Family, Career and Community Leaders of America ( FCCLA).  She is actually President of her school's chapter and last month she along with four other students from her school attended the state conference where they participated in STAR events in Virginia Beach.  Today's LO uses some of the pictures taken by her teacher since my schedule did not allow me the opportunity to go.  She had a partner this year and they did a presentation on event planning and placed second in their event category,  one student from her school placed first and will attend the national conference in Washington in July.

The LO came together rather nicely and since I had so many pictures it didn't require a lot of fanfare. The base is actually some K& Co Christmas Cheer gold beige corrugated paper that I picked up on clearance from AC Moore and the chevron glittered paper came from their too.  I cut the title and the Virgnia state die using my SLICE machine, the other embellishments are from Recollections and were in my opened stash from other projects.  I am sharing this LO for this week's challenge #184 - Chevrons over at Use Your Stuff.  This makes my 22nd  LO of the year so I am rolling right along even though I am way behind in other areas.

Take care and have a wonderful holiday weekend.

Mojo Monday #398

Hello and Happy Thursday on this rainy morning.  I am back today to share another graduation card using the same paper pad and color scheme because both young ladies graduated from the same school.  The sketch inspiration for the card came from this week's sketch over at Mojo Monday.  Everything used has been in my stash for a while.

Thank you for your visit, do you have holiday plans?  We have another jam packed schedule for the weekend.

Graduation

It's that time of year, let the celebrations begin!  Today I am sharing one of the cards that I made for one of the graduates; used more of my stash, cut the caps with the Locket Talk cricut cartridge.  I should have made the card larger as I had to cut the inside message short.   I will just continue to send her encourage communication as she continues on with her graduate studies.

We are in Virginia Beach as we will be attending the graduation ceremonies for Virginia Wesleyan College later this morning.  We went to the Baccalaureate ceremony last night and will be attending one family celebration tonight here and another one next week in Richmond.  So happy for the graduates and the parents!

Take care and make it a great day.

Hello Friday

Today I am sharing a project using a stamp that I have been hoarding, I have way too much stuff that just sits unused.  The stamp used on the card is from the Kinky Girl set and the sentiment is from the Sorority set both from Pink Bow Ties.  One of my problems is that I can't really color which is strange because I don't have a problem using crayons but when it's time to use markers and colored pencils I usually wind up tossing the project into the trash.   I used Spectrum markers to color the stamp and  added stickers to the headband.  I used some of the leftover paper from the Easter LO so I am sharing this card for the Super Scraps Saturday #198 challenge over at Hiding in my Craft Room.

Today we are going to Virginia Beach for college graduation ceremonies and celebrations for two young women.  Take care and have a wonderful weekend.
