Peace

Hello and happy Wednesday, beautiful sunny day here after several days of rain.  Today I am sharing a card that I put together as I was going through some of my stash to try to organize my stuff so I can finish my holiday cards.  I still have lots of stamps and paper that I'd like to use but at some point I will have to cut off the card making so I can get them in the mail!  Today's card was created using sketch inspiration from challenge #299 from Try Stampin' on Tuesday and challenge #142 (color) from Can You Case It?  I am also sharing it for the Christmas word challenge from Bitten by the Bug2, I cut the word peace from the Joys of the Season cricut cartridge.  I also used a Crafter's Companion snowflake embossing folder and a Darice die to cut the snowflakes!  Take care and have a wonderful Wednesday.

Merry & Bright

Hello Tuesday, showers and warm temps in our area today.  Prayers for the Ohio State community and the residents of Gaitlinburg, Tennessee, so sad.  I am back today to share another card that I put together last night using sketch inspiration from sketch #141 over at Can You Case It?  I used paper from a Craft Smith 6x6 paper pad that I picked up in Michaels last year.  The stamp is one of my recent TM clearance purchases and the bling has been in my stash forever.  I like the simplicity of the sketch and the card,  I am now halfway to my total for my 2016 holiday cards.  I am also sharing this for sketch #277 - Any Holiday challenge over at Hiding in My Craft Room.  Thank you for your visit, I hope you'll stop by again soon.

Happy Thanksgiving

Hello and happy Wednesday, cool temps and rain in our forecast today.  I'm back today to share a card that I put together as I am trying to get my Thanksgiving cards made and in the mail by the end of next week!  The original intent was to use a sketch but as I was going through my stash of stuff I just decided to go in another direction.  I used a kraft card base, a Darice embossing folder, pattern paper from the Nicole Autumn Splendor pad, leaf embossed paper from one of the hot buy paper pads from Michael's and a few punched leaves.

I am sharing this card for the following challenges:
CAS-ual Fridays - CFC#160 Color Challenge (orange, brown, kraft)
Can You Case It? - CYCI#140 Color Challenge (orange, yellow, kraft)
Use Your Stuff - Challenge #240 - Fall

Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll come back soon!

A New Home

Hello and happy Sunday, hope you are enjoying your holiday weekend.  As for me I have been getting lots of rest as I am sitting in bed as I type this post!  Today I am sharing a card that I put together for one of my scrappin' friends that is relocating to another state.  I am happy that she is going to be a tad bit closer so I hope we get to see each other more!  I had been meaning to get a card to her at her new address for sometime so this morning after looking at several challenges I decided to get it done!  I like how it came out as I used sketch inspiration challenge #136 over at Can You Case It?  I am also sharing this card for this week's Fall colors challenge #265 over at Hiding in my Craft Room.  All items used have been in my stash for sometime, even used a rub-on for the sentiment!

Take care and have a wonderful week, I hope you will come back soon!

Christmas in July

My heart is heavy and I mourn with and for my country.  Where does all the time go, I just can't seem to stay focused or catch up.  Today I am sharing the card that I started yesterday and finished this morning.  I used some Basic Grey (Jovial) paper that I picked up on clearance at ACMoore.  I liked the pattern so I didn't want to cover it so for inspiration I used this week's sketch over at  Can You Case it?  I am also sharing this card for the Christmas  challenge over at Scraps of Color.  Thank you for your visit, best wishes to you and yours for a wonderful week.

Monday Musings

Hello and happy Monday, I'm sleepy what about you?  I went to bed fairly early but  kept waking up throughout the night so I am a little tired.  Are you tired of guy cards yet?  Well I am back today to share another card  that I created from the guy card collaboration on you tube, I think this may be it; I need to move on now!  I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the tools, the stamped sentiment is from a Lawn Fawn set and the embellishments are from Recollections.  I got the jean colored paper from Hobby Lobby.  I am sharing this card for the red, white and blue color challenge over at Can You Case It?  Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a wonderful week.

Graduation Card

Hello Friday, more rain today and a total wash out for tomorrow.  It's that time of year and of course I have procrastinated in getting my graduation cards done.  We went to a party on Saturday and I just gave the person a generic inspiration card which really wasn't a big deal because what matters most to the young people is the card contents!  Today I am sharing a card that I made sketch inspiration from sketch #120 over a Can You Case It?  I used paper from my stash, a Darice embossing folder and the cap cut was made using the Locker Talk cricut cartridge.  I hand wrote the year and stamped the sentiment.  This card will be going postal today to the son of one of my crafty friends.

Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a wonderful weekend.

Think Spring

Hello and happy Friday, woke up this morning to a little bit of snow on the grass and cars.  It started to melt almost as soon as it came down so no cause for delay or alarm even though some areas had delays.  Today I am sharing a card that I put together in hopes of brightening the day of someone that is suffering from cancer.  The person that requested the card wanted bright and cheery so I hope this works!   I am continuing to use my stash, even more now since I am on a spending ban for crafting items for this month.  I am sharing this card for two challenges, the color challenge over at Can You Case It and the First and Third (Think Spring) challenge over at Scraps of Color.

Take care and have a wonderful weekend.

Thinking of You

Hello Tuesday, it is raining very hard here so I am thinking about sleep!   I am back today to share another card made at the request of one of the FB card Angels.  This card has gone postal to a couple that is going through some challenges because of cancer.  I pray that God will give them the strength to accept his will.  The paper and flower are items from my stash, can't remember which paper pad I used since the paper were taken from my scrap stash.  I am sharing this super clean and simple card for challenge #239 over at Hiding in my Craft Room, sketch inspiration for this card came from challenge #108 over at Can You Case It?

Thank you for your visit and I hope you have a Terrific Tuesday!

Happy Anniversary

Hello and happy Thursday, it is really cold here today!  When we woke up yesterday there was a little bit of snow on the cars and other surfaces but nothing like the blizzard we had a few weeks ago!  I am back today to share a card that I made for one of the members of the FB angel card group.  She and her husband are celebrating their 19th anniversary on Valentine's Day, her card is done and will go postal later today but I doubt it will make it to her on time!  All items used on the card came from my stash and the sketch inspiration came from challenge #106 over at Can You Case it?  Take care and make it a great day!

Inspiration

Hello Wednesday, I'm back today with another card that went postal yesterday.  A member of the FB Card Angel group submitted a request for cards for  her brother that is going through a rough time with some health challenges so I made this card hoping to inspire him until he feels better.  I am also sharing this card for the Birthday Black Tie challenge over at Can You Case It?  They are celebrating their 3rd birthday so if you'd like some inspiration stop by their blog!  When putting this card together I just grabbed some scraps of paper from my stash, a stamp, bubble die and a few sequins and the card was done!  Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll stop by again soon.

BE Happy

It's Thursday one more day until the weekend; mild temps outside and even warmer temps for the weekend.  I am back today sharing another card for the card group,  an encouragement card going postal tomorrow or Saturday.  The sketch inspiration for the card came from sketch #98 over at Can You Case It?   I used pattern paper from a Momenta pad, my SLICE to cut the tag, some ribbon and the little butterfly is a Recollections sticker.  I also used my little American Crafts stapler for the first time, I picked t up from Tuesday Morning on clearance earlier this year!

Take care and have a terrific Thursday!

Wednesday Wanderings

Today has been a busy day so I am just getting around to posting, I started my day by attending my daughter's parent teacher conference, it took over three hours for me to speak to all of her teachers.  It was good we just need a little attitude adjustment she received many compliments on her leadership abilities!  I am back today to share another Thanksgiving card that I put together using a sketch from The Crooked Stamper.  I made several cards using this sketch so I am almost done so I hope to meet my Friday mailing deadline.  The pattern paper used is a leftover sheet from last year's paper purchase from Hobby Lobby so I think I have enough to make two more cards and then it will be gone!  I cut the turkey using the Art Philosophy cricut cartridge, added a gem for the eye and a stamped sentiment and it was done!  I am also sharing this card for this week's color challenge over at Can You Case It?

Take care and come back soon!

Simple Thanks

Hello Monday, where does the time go?  There just isn't enough time to complete my weekend 'to do' list.  I had to do some shopping for my daughter, we had to get  a dress for her high school homecoming festivities and exchange some other items that I purchased when she wasn't with me.  I just can't shop for her anymore and she doesn't like to shop with me because I don't want to pay regular price for anything!  Oh well she will learn when she starts making and spending her own money.  Besides I always shop the clearance and sales when shopping for me.  Oh well on to today's post!

Today I am sharing a Thanksgiving card that I put together over the weekend, my plan is to make and  mail about 15 cards for Thanksgiving and Christmas.   I just used miscellaneous scraps of paper, a stamp, some leaves leftover from other projects and a few gems.   I am sharing today's card for the following three challenges:

CYCI#93 Fall  Anything Goes -  Can You Case It?
HIMCR#293 Freestyle - Hiding in my Craft Room
FFC#112 Anything Goes - Jo's Scrap Shack

Thank you for your visit, I hope you will come back soon.  Wishing you and yours a wonderful week as we kick off the holiday season.  I sure hope I get to work on a LO soon, I really don't consider myself a card maker.

Hello Monday

Today I am sharing another clean and simple card that I put together for the facebook card group.  It uses scraps of  paper from my stash and a Stampin' Up stamp and some enamel dots; the bowl was colored with colored pencils and the hearts with a sharpie. I am sharing this card for the Designer's Choice anything goes challenge #88 over at Can You Case it?

It seems like it has been forever since I last posted, although I was off work there was just too much to do.  That being said I didn't get my chores done, have my car serviced or play.  I did do some clearance shopping at ACMoore and Hobby Lobby which means I didn't use the coupons that I had planned to use for the items that I was looking to purchase.  I am going to a weekend crop soon so my intention was to get ready by having everything that I need when I go.  This is a real ambitious task for me!  Today I am sharing another clean and simple card that I put together for the facebook card group.  It uses paper scraps from my stash and a Stampin' Up stamp and some enamel dots; the bowl was colored with colored pencils and the hearts with a sharpie.

Sunday Musings

Hello, as I was sitting here trying to rest a bit, I decided to share. This may be a long post so I will share the card before I start my rambling.  I put this card together for our nephew Paul's 13th birthday.  I just used some scrap paper, a few gems and  a Studio G stamp from my stash.  The sketch inspiration from  challenge #14 over at Stamp Ink Paper.  I am also sharing this card for the color challenge over at Can You Case It?   I am really enjoying the inspiration from the blogs shared by one of my scrapping BFFs Felisa!

I feel like I need a nap but decided against it since there's work to be done.  We got a late start but we made it to church which I am glad because I didn't want to miss his message on love!  Afterwards we had to go shopping for some gym shorts for baby girl, not sure why we didn't look for them last week when we were out getting school supplies.  While we were out she reminded me that she had homework to finish so back home until we go back to church to volunteer to help make sandwiches for the homeless.  We still need to do our Costco shopping, which may have to wait until tomorrow since our neighbors have invited us over for a cookout later today.

Take care and have a great week, are you ready for Fall?  I am taking a few days off later in the week so I don't have to deal with the UCI Road World Championship crowds the whole week!

Back2School

Hello Thursday, I am back today to share one of the cards that I put together for our daughter who is heading to high school next week.  She'll find a different card in her lunch box each day next week, this will be her first year catching the bus so it will be an adventure!  The sketch inspiration came from sketch #84 over at Can You Case It?   I used a kraft card base and  pattern paper from the 8x8 TPC Studio Homeroom paper pad that has been in my stash for a while.  I cut the bus and sentiment from the Autumn Celebrations cricut cartridge so I am also sharing this card for this week's Back to School challenge over at Bitten by the Bug2.  Added some dimensional dots and gems for the headlights and this card was done, I have my friend Felisa to thank for keeping my inbox full of sketch ideas!

Take care and enjoy your day.  We are expecting high temps today so I will stay in the building until I leave work for the day!
