CIU #297 - Have a Heart

Hello and happy Friday, let the weekend begin!  Today's card share is my design team project for the Cut it Up challenge blog, the them for challenge #297is Have a Heart.

I got the inspiration for this card from scrapbook.com and because I thought it needed something else so I decided to emboss the background after I created it.  I have mixed feelings about it so I might try it with a different font or color the next time.  I used some momenta alphas to cut the Xs and Os, a Darice Heart embossing folder, heat embossed the sentiment and the card was done and will be going postal soon!  I am sharing this card for the Paper Players theme challenge #675.

Now that you've seen my project I hope you will visit the Cut it Up challenge blog for more design team inspiration.  Create and share your Have a Heart project, don't forget to use a die!  The challenge starts today and end Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at noon PST.

Thank you for your visit have a wonderful weekend and hurry back soon.

Monday Musings

Hello and happy Monday night, I'm doing this drive by post to share one of the cards that I created over the weekend,  In all things give thanks is such an impactful statement and sometimes we forget to do just that.  I have been intentionally try to live a thankful and grateful life even during the storms.  This card uses one of the Operation Write Home sketches and more papers from the DCWV Farmstead Harvest 6x6 paper pad, a Kaiser stamp for the sentiment and a few gems and this card was done.  I used a punch for the squares and it did take some work to get the placement right!  I am sharing this card for the The Paper Players challenge #616 - Give Thanks.

Happy Birthday

Hello Tuesday, doing a quick drive by post to share another birthday card.  This card has already gone postal to California, I hope the recipient receives it in time, the mail is so unpredictable lately.  When creating this card, I used a Sizzix embossing folder, some linen and some pearlized paper from my stash.  This cute camera cut/embossing folder was one of  my previous years HL clearance purchases that hadn't been used, added a few bits to make it a shaker card which is optiional!  I'm sharing this card for the Clean and Simple Birthday challenge #563 over at The Paper Players and the Anything Goes challenge #151 over at Cardz TV.  I'm so glad that I am finally using more of my unused stash items.

Thank you for your visit, stay safe and hurry back soon.

Happy Birthday

Hello Friday and happy holiday weekend!  I have been missing in action, as I've said before sometimes life happens and it prevents me from sharing.  I'm doing a quick drive by post to share a birthday card that I  created for my nephew.  I used papers from the My Mind's Eye All Spice 6x6 paper pad, an unbranded die for the stitched circles, some wood veneer stars and a stamp for the sentiment.  I'm sharing this card for challenge #556 over at  The Paper Players.  It is a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge and I used the middle row across (birthday, die-cut/punch, masculine).

Thank you for your visit, take care and be safe as you enjoy the weekend.  I hope you will return soon.

Friday Musings

Hello Friday, more rain in today’s forecast.  Today’s drive by post is another birthday card created using a Mojo Monday sketch.   This male themed card  uses more papers from the  Love Nicole Time Machine 6x6 paper pad.  I really miss AC Moore even though I really don’t need anything.  One of my crafting friends shared she is on a challenge to use her unused stuff so I decided to do the same.  So I used the Sizzix Sophie Aguilar Doodle Alphabet die set to cut the sentiment, it has been in my stash for almost two years I think (maybe more).  Finished the card by adding a star with some foam adhesive.  I’m sharing this card for challenge #554 over at The Paper Players, clean and simple masculine.

Thank you for your visit, take care and have a wonderful weekend.
