DD's Card

I've got another cardmaker in my house, this is a card completed by DD after she watched the My Pinkstamper DVD. She used doodle charms for the ice cream cone, the happy birthday cuttlebug folder and one of the studio G stamps for the happy birthday.

Wednesday Wanderings

When I originally started my blog I posted weekly misc. updates which kinda took a backseat. So with the start of Spring I thought I'd reintroduce it under the name of one of my MB ramblings! I've been busy as usual with life in the fast lane which includes work, family, faith and scrappin. I was out in the yard raking leaves on Sunday so now my allergies are acting up which means I'm not a 100% this week. On the scrappin' front I have been trying to finish up my LOs for the sista swap over on the cricut MB. I'm hoping to complete some other LOs this weekend, trying to use my stash and not add to it. I am also planning to take DD to a peace pole dedication in Fredericksburg at their aikido dojo.

Picture Day

DD took school pictures last week, I took my own pictures before we left home because I'm not sure what she looked like after being at school and taking pictures in the afternoon. Somehow the schedule got mixed up and they didn't take pictures until 1:30 so I know the hair was probably looking a mess. I submitted this LO over at SOC for the weekly Technique Tuesday challenge.

Green Belt

Can you say green belt? Yes, E received her green belt last week and we are so proud of her. She has been taking aikido for a few years and she has grown but still has alot to learn, she's very competitive since she's one of only two girls at her dojo. In fact she is one of the senior kids at the dojo. Way to go E, keep making us proud.

Dinner Celebration

I am happy to report that this is my 20th completed LO for 2010! I completed and submitted this LO for a challenge over at SOC as part of their Technique Tuesday challenges. In keeping with the celebration of DD's 9th birthday this LO includes the picture taken on her actual birthday. Due to a snow storm we had to reschedule her party but DH shoveled us out enough so that we could take her out to her favorite place to eat O'Charleys!

Using My Scraps

I created these really simple cards trying to reduce the huge amount of paper scraps that I seem to collect. These cards did not put a dent in the pile so either I'll be making more cards soon or I just may have to toss them because they are taking over!

Male Birthday Card

Thie card was my submission for a Thursday Sketch Card Challege over at SOC. I am planning to send it to my uncle who celebrates his birthday on Wedmesday! I have a hard time using colors more suited for males when making cards.

Father and Son

I completed and submitted this LO for one of the challenges over at Scraps of Color. The picture is of DH and his father at one of the Sunday of Hope services for St. Jude Children's Hospital. Their fraternity has partnered nationally with St. Jude to help raise money so that St. Jude can continue to provide its services.
