Happy Birthday Granny

Hello and happy Saturday  more warm temps in today's forecast.  Today's project share is an easel card that I created for my daughter to give to my mom after watching  a May May Made It YouTube  video.  I used papers from a Fall 6x6 paper pad, a cut from the Base Camp Cricut cartridge and a few Gina Marie enamel dots.

On the other side of the card, I added  a pcicture of my mom and daughter, used a Prtint Works stamp for a caption and added a wood veneer heart.   I really like the card and it is one that she can display all year long!  I am sharing this card for the Grandparent challenge over at Bitten by the Bug 2 and the Cardz TV Anything Goes challenge #99.

Thank you for your visit, hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Speak Up 5k

Hello and happy Tuesday, more nice temps in today's forecast.  Today I am sharing a LO that I put together using pictures taken earlier this month when I walked in a 5K.  I started on this LO about two weeks ago and finally decided to finish it last night, I used pattern papers from the DCWV Teenage Dream Stack, cut the sneakers with my SLICE machine and the medal and title using my Cricut.  Another LO completed and in the books!

Thank you for your visit, I hope you'll return soon.  Take care.

Game Day

I'm back with my second post of the day sharing another 8 1/2 x 11 LO documenting Baby Girl's attendance at her first football game at James Madison University.  I have way too much stuff and recently I have been buying too many clearance items at AC Moore and Hobby Lobby; I have to get back on my no craft spending because I am hoarding rather than using.  On to what I used to create my LO, the pattern sheet used for base is  from Love Nicole (AC Moore) , used some Thickers for the title andsome  recently purchased stickers for the other embellishments.  I even tried to add some ink splatters (hard to see in the pic) and the strip of gold washi is from Recollections.  I'm sharing this LO for the Anything Goes challenge #98 over at CardzTV.

Take care, hope you'll return soon!

CIU #183 - Into the Woods

Hello and happy Friday, nice temps in the forecast.  Today's project share is my latest design team project for the Cut it Up challenge blog for challenge #183, the theme is Into the Woods and our sponsor is Pink and Main.

This is another one of those projects where I struggled to create something within the limits of the theme, I think maybe I was over thinking the whole woods concept!  So I just decided to get inspiration from some of my cartridges and paper scraps, of which I have a way too many.  I used a WeR Memory Keepers wood grain embossing folder as my base, used the owl from the Nate ABCs cartridge, a Gina Marie die set for the moon and stars and a Hero Arts stamp for the sentiment.  I even colored the leaves using a Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen.

Now that you've seen my card I hope you will stop by the Cut it Up challenge blog for more design team inspiration.  Join our challenge by sharing your into the woods project using a die cut for a chance to win a surprise prize from Pink and Main.  The challenge starts today and ends on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at noon EST.

Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a wonderful weekend!

Fat Lips

Hello and happy Wednesday, nice temps as we are about to change seasons.  Today's project share is the LO documenting Baby Girl's wisdom teeth removal.  I used more paper from an older kit, a metal tag that has been in my stash for years, cut the title and lips using the Don Juan Cricut cartridge and the Dr. Check-up cartridge for the teeth.  Even though I have completed some LOs outside of her high school album I am still planning to have it completed by next month!

Thank you for your visit, hope you will come back soon, I will be sharing my latest design team project for the Cut it Up challenge blog on Friday.

Happy 18th

Hello and happy Monday, sun shining and a forecast for low humidity as we are in the last week of summer.  Today's project share is a birthday card created for our nephew who celebrated his 18th birthday on Friday.  When I originally started creating this card I had planned to use another sketch from Try Stampin on Tuesday but in the interest of time I decided to use sketch #425 instead.  I used mostly scraps to create this card, music themed pattern piece of paper has been in my stash for a long time,  I cut the circle using a Spellbinders die and the numbers using a non-branded die,  the sentiment stamp is from the JoAnn's ms sparkle & co line, hand cut the tag and added some hemp cording.  I'm sharing this card for the challenge #437 - Birthday over at Die Cuttin' Divas.

Thank you for your visit and I hope you have a marvelous Monday!

Hello and happy Saturday, cooler temps in the Commonwealth for the last few days.  Today I am headed to another crop, hope to get at least three LOs completed.  Today's project share is another 8 1/2 x 11 LO documenting the first time Baby Girl voted, during the primary election in June.  I used sketch inspiration from Sketch N Scrap #184 and papers from a very old Lisa Bearnson kit.  I am sharing this LO for the Anything Goes challenge #98 over at Cardz TV.

Happy Birthday

Hello Wednesday, back with my second post for the day.  My original post had been scheduled since Sunday and I didn't notice that I failed to mention two significant events that occurred today.  Today marks the 18th anniversary of the 911 terrorist acts, we shall always remember.  Today also marks what would have been  my FIL's 81st birthday.  So I decided to share a birthday card for my second post using sketch inspiration from Tuesday Morning Sketches #520, pattern papers from the Graphic 45 Celebrate 6x6 paper pad, a Stampabilities stamp for the sentiment and some Gina Marie enamel dots.

Senior Prom

Hello and happy Wednesday, wow I'm on a roll sharing on my blog three days in a row!  Today's project share is a double LO created for Baby Girl's high school album.  I'm going to a crop on Saturday and I hope to get more pages done, I have a new deadline so let's hope I can meet it.  When I document a story it is more important that the pictures tell the story so I usually don't use a lot of embellishments.  For this LO I used the Formal Occasion  Cricut cartridge, Recollections and Paper Studio stickers, trim from the Target dollar spot,  and finally an actual admission ticket.  All of these pictures were taken before she actually went to the prom!  I'm sharing this LO for the September Anything Goes #125 over at Love to Scrap challenge blog.

Thank you for your visit, have a wonderful Wednesday!

First Day

Hello and happy Monday, I meant to share this post yesterday but as life would have it I didn't.  Today's project share is my back to school/first day of college LO for Baby Girl.  Now that she is away at school I have to  rely on her to send me pictures!  This LO came together fairly quickly, I used misc papers, mostly scraps and some AC letters for the title.  The embellishments are from the Papert Studio and were purchased on clearance!  This one of those LOs that I have mixed feelings about and at some point I may redo it, the quality of the pictures and the pattern paper have me second guessing it.  I am sharing this LO for the Just Us Girls Challenge  #504.

Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a wonderful week.

CIU #182 - Farm Friends

Hello and happy Friday, continued prayers for those affected by hurricane Dorian.  Today's project share is my latest design team project for the Cut it Up challenge blog.  The theme for challenge #182 is Farm Friends and our sponsor is Scrappy Dew.

I certainly struggled with this project which I started over several times and eventually decided to wait to add a sentiment later.  My card includes the pig from our sponsor, it is part of the Farm Palz 2 patterns.  The  wood grain paper came from a very old   CTMH paper pack, I cut the grass using the Artiste cartridge and the ant came from the Nate's ABCs cartridge.

I hope you will visit the Cut it Up challenge blog for more design team inspiration and decide to share your farm friends project for a chance to win some crafting goodies from our sponsor.  The challenge starts today and ends Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at noon EST.

Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a wonderful weekend.

Thinking of You

Hello and happy Thursday, overcast and sun this morning but the afternoon forecast calls for rain courtesy of  hurricane Dorian today.  Today's project share is a card using sketch inspiration from Atlantic Hearts #332 and more pattern paper from the Amy Tangerine Sunshine & Good Times  6x6 paper pad. I used a Crafter's Companion scallop border die and a Spellbinders hexagon die, the sentiment has been sitting waiting to be used for sometime, I think it was cut with the George Cricut cartridge.  Added a few Bo Bunny Gems and this card is done and ready to go postal!  I'm sharing this card for the Anything Goes challenge #97 over at Cardz TV.

Thank you for your visit, hope you'll return soon!

A Big Thank You

Hello and happy Tuesday,  more warm weather and the start of school for a lot of children!  Today I am sharing another thank you card using sketch inspiration from Try Stampin' on Tuesday #423, I think it looks better in person.  I used paper from the Authentique Precious 6x6 paper pad, a GinaK Stamp, used a glitter pen on the hippo's tail and ears and a few Bo Bunny gems.  The paper and stamp was part of a prize pack from Sketch N Scrap delivered last week, I was the winner of the July prize pack!

New Home

Hello and happy Sundsay, it's a long holiday weekend and I had time to play!  Today I am sharing a LO that I created using pictures taken at Baby Girl's new home, her college dorm! I struggled with how to embellish this LO because I felt the pictures really told the story but I figured out how to add a few and I was happy with the end result.  I used papers from the Authentique Accomplished Collection 12x12 paper pad, vellum stickers and chipboard letters for the title.  The dorm houses more than just freshmen but since she's a freshmen I decided to use that in the title.  I used the Teen Scene and Mickey & Friends cricut cartridges to cut the doll and paw prints.
