Sparkle

Hello and happy cold Wednesday with wet and slick advisories in our area; some school delays in other areas.  Today's card share uses sketch inspiration from Mojo Monday #508.  I switched the card orientation and used a cut apart from the paper pad for the sentiment and for the heart.  The pattern papers came from the Pebbles Girl Squad 6x6 paper pad and the gold foil paper is Recollections.  I finished the card by adding some Simple Stories enamel dots,  I was pleased with the outcome as I needed to add some encouragement to baby girl's lunch box this morning!  I am sharing this card for the enamel dots challenge #345 over at Use Your Stuff.

Thank you for your visit, stay warm and hurry back!

Spirit Week

Hello and happy cold Monday, trying to keep warm is getting harder.  The forecast calls for continued cold and the possibility of some rain or wintry mix within the next day or two.  Today's project share is another LO for baby girl's' high school album.  The journaling is hidden as this year's spirit week was different from past years.  She is wearing her senior class t-shirt with their names on the back for the first time.  I used sketch inspiration from Sketch N Scrap #168, paper from the Authentique Accomplished 12x12 paper pad, unbranded die for the t-shirt,  and other miscellaneous embellishments from my stash.  I cut the title using the Fontastic Fonts Cricut cartridge.

Thank you for your visit, be safe and stay warm.

Love

Hello and happy Sunday, mild temps in our area today.  Today's card uses inspiration from Tuesday Morning Sketches #487.  I used some mulberry paper that I picked up from the crop, yesterday and some MS leftover pattern papers from a previous project.  I used an unbranded stitched circle die and a Bo Bunny Exprssions stamp for the sentiment and a heart shaped gem from my stash.

Thank you for your visit, take care and have a blessed day.

2018 Homecoming

Hello and happy Saturday, I went to a crop today and I wanted to share one of my completed projects. This is my second  completed LO for 2019 and it uses pictures from baby girl's last high school homecoming and it is the first time she had a date.  I struggled with choosing papers and embellishments but I like the outcome and I don't think the picture does it justice.  The base sheet of paper was given to me by one of the other ladies at the crop since I didn't want to use what I had originally planned.  All other items used on the LO have been in my stash for a while.  I am sharing this LO for the  numbers  challenge  #344 over at Use Your Stuff.

Thank you for your visit, I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Flat Shaker Card

Hello and happy Friday afternoon, I am back to share my second post for the day.  I'm sharing this super easy flat shaker card that I put together after watching a YT video earlier this week.  I can't remember who shared it since I don't think it was one of the people that I usually watch and nor do I subscribe to their channel.  I used a Spellbinders label die to cut the shaker opening, paper from the Bo Bunny Modern Miss 6x6 paper pad, the Hero Arts Happy Stamp and Cut set and some Chocolate Cookies sequin mix from Spiegel Mom Scraps.  I finished the card by adding a little wood veneer heart.  I am sharing this card for the Anniversary challenge #94 over at Always Fun Challenges and the Anything Goes challenge #81 over at Cardz TV.

Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a wonderful weekend.

Cut it Up #166 - Hearts

Hello and happy Friday, more cold weather in the weekend's forecast.   Today I am sharing my latest design team project for the Cut it Up challenge blog, the theme for challenge #166 is hearts (Valentine's Day) and our sponsor is ScrappyDew.

This is one of those cards where I struggled and have mixed feelings about the result.   The valentine bear came from our sponsor's vault, the papers came from a Martha Stewart Essentials 12x12 paper pad and the little sequin hearts have been in my stash for quite some time.   Since the bear was holding a love banner I decided not to add another sentiment.

Now that you've seen another one of my signature simple projects I hope you will head over to the Cut it Up challenge blog for more inspiration and share your Valentine's project for a chance to win a gift certificate from ScrappyDew.  The challenge starts today and ends on Wednesday, February 6,  2019 at noon EST.

Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll return soon.

Take a Chill Pill

Hello and happy Tuesday today's forecast calls for sunny skies, less wind and extremely cold temps.    Today's project share is a get well card that was requested by one of the card angel members. She requested something lighthearted for her father who is a general contractor and recently fell off a roof.   The pattern piece of paper came from the Love Nicole Time Machine 6x6 paper pad, I used  the Recollections Cheeky Modern Pop Chill Pill  stamp and die kit for the sentiment and pill, added a few enamel dots and this card was done!  Although I've had this stamp and die set in my stash for at least six months this was my first time using it!  I'm sharing this card for the Anything New challenge #113 over at Dies R Us.

Thank you for your visit, hope you'll return soon.

Thinking of You

Hello Friday, a forecast for the possibility of  another wintry mix within the next few days.  Today's card share is one created using this month's card sketch challenge over at  Stick it Down.  I used more scraps of paper from the My Mind's Eye Paris & Co 6x6 paper pad, just a few more projects using these papers and this pad will be done! I also used a Pink & Main stitched rectangle, a Paper Studio stamp and some enamel dots to finish off this card.  I am sharing this card for the Anything Goes challenge #81 over at Cardz TV.

Let's Celebrate

Hello and happy Thursday, seasonal temps and some cloudiness in our area this morning.  I'm back today with a quick driveby post as I had already scheduled my post through tomorrow!  There are just so many January birthdays within my circle and I'm on a personal challenge to try to conquer my mounting scrap paper stash!  I used sketch inspiration from Try Stampin' on Tuesday challenge #390,  I received the papers as part of a challenge prize pack last year and it resurfaced while I was doing some organizing so I'm not sure which company sells the paper.  My plan is to finish it off this weekend.  I cut the tag using an unbranded die and the sentiment using one of the Spellbinders Die D Lites; finished the card by adding some sequins and Glimmer Mist.  I'm sharing this card for the Die Cuttin' Divas birthday challenge #403.

Take care and hurry back!

Happy Birthday Kayla

Hello and happy Wednesday, seasonal temps with the kids back in school as of yesterday!  Today I'm sharing a simple craft project that I put together for one of my daughter's friends that recently celebrated her birthday.  When shopping for her gift I had picked up a journal, an inspirational daily reading book and a pen but my daughter wanted include something a little more personal.  I had given my daughter one a few years ago and she really liked it so she wanted me to do one for her friend.  I  had everything in my stash with the exception of the letter K which came from ACMoore.  I used the Love You a  Latte cricut cartridge to cut the little frappe cup which is one of her favorite Starbucks drink. I'm sharing this project for the Anything Goes challenge #80 over at Cardz TV and the challenge #30 over at the Love to Craft Challenge Blog.

Thank you for your visit, I hope you'll return soon!

Just Because

Hello and happy Monday, another inclement weather day for the kids in our area.  I am taking a break from birthday cards today as  I am still trying to use my stash of paper scraps; I just can't seem to toss leftover pieces of paper.  Today's card uses sketch inspiration from card sketch #137 over at Sketch N Scrap.  The paper used came from the My Mind's Eye Fancy That 6x6 paper pad, I used unbranded dies for the bow and the stitched circle, added a stamped sentiment and a few Queen & Co Jellies and this card is ready to go postal.

Thank you for your visit,  have a wonderful week and stay safe if you have to go out.

Saturday Musings

Hello and happy cold Saturday, we are currently on snow watch!    I am planning a very lazy day, which I might regret when Monday rolls around.  Today I am sharing another birthday card where I used sketch inspiration from Tuesday Morning Sketches.  It's the beginning of the year and as I continue to try to de-clutter and use my scraps,  I created this card using only paper scraps and an unused diecut.  I know that the pattern papers are ffrom My Mind's Eye but I don't know which 6x6 pad!  Another card done and ready to go postal to one of my high school besties!

Thank you for visit, I hope you will return again soon.

Cut it Up #165 - How's the Weather

Hello and happy Friday, today's project share is my latest design team project for the Cut it Up challenge blog.  The theme for challenge #165 is How's the Weather and our sponsor is Avery Elle.

I struggled with coming up with a project for this challenge as our weather in this area has been somewhat unseasonable at  times.  So I decided to just go with a winter theme since it is winter and the forecast calls for the possibility of some snow flurries this weekend!  The snowflake pattern paper is from a Recollections pack from several years ago, I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the window and my Cricut to cut the snowflakes.  The sentiment came from the Cardz TV Snow Day stamp set, added a few crystal Stickles to the frame and this card was done!  I'm sharing this card for the Winter Blues challenge #385 over at Shopping Our Stash.

Now that you've seen my project I hope you will head over to the Cut it Up challenge blog for more inspiration and decided to share your How's the Weather project for a chance to win a gift certificate from our sponsor.   The challenge starts today and ends on Wednesday, January 23 at noon (EST).

Thank you for your visit, have a wonderful weekend.

Enjoy Your Special Day

Hello happy cold and windy Thursday, did my shopping last night in preparation for the forecast for snow this weekend.  Today I am doing a super quick driveby post to share another birthday card, I used sketch inspiration from Try Stampin' on Tuesday.  The papers came from the My Mind's Eye Honey Cake 6x6 paper pad, the stitched oval was cut using an unbranded die and the stamp is from a  Bo Bunny sentiments set.  I heat embossed the sentiment and added it to the card with some foam adhesive. I  have mixed feelings about this card, another one where I only using pattern paper:  I didn't even add any embellishments.  I'm sharing this card for the Anything Goes challenge #80 over at Cardz TV.

Thank you for your visit, I hope you'll come back tomorrow for my latest design team project for the Cut it Up challenge blog.  Take care and have a great weekend.

O Happy Day

Hello and happy Wednesday, seasonal temps after a mild weather day yesterday.  Today I am sharing my first male card for 2019; sketch inspiration for this card came from Mojo Monday #506.  The pattern  paper came from the My Mind's Eye Hey Mister 6x6 pad and the foil paper used for the title and scallop edge was a leftover piece from another project.  I cut the title using the Beyond Birthdays Cricut cartridge and one of the Crafter's Companion  Edge Die'sire create-a-card dies for the scallop;  added a few black enamel dots to finish the card. I'm sharing this card for the Glitter or Foil challenge #402 over at Die Cuttin' Divas.

Birthday Card Frenzy

Hello and happy Sunday, I meant to share yesterday butt as life would have it I didn't have time.  Today's project share is a birthday card created using sketch inspiration from Atlantic Hearts sketch #297.  I used paper from the My Mind's Eye Fancy That  6x6 paper pad, some Recollections foil paper, a Hampton Arts Stamp and Cut set for the sentiment and a gem cut using the Once Upon a Princess Cricut cartridge.  This is one of those cards where I had a hard time getting a good picture, too much foil paper.    I am sharing this card for the Anything Goes challenge #80 over at Cardz TV.  I need about ten cards this month so I really need to get busy!

Thank you for your visit and I hope you will return soon.

First Thursday

Hello and happy first Thursday, it's raining with seasonal temps here in our area.  So much has been going on that I haven't really had time to create or share on my blog this year.  Today I am sharing a super quick card that I put together using sketch inspiration from Fab Friday #153 and I am racing to get it posted and shared on the blog as I am coming in under the wire.  I used papers from the WeR Memory Keepers Typecast paper pad that I was gifted a few years ago.  The sentiment is a stamp from the Bo Bunny Expressions set that I picked up from TM.  I used an unbranded die to cut the stitched circle and added it to the card with some foam adhesive.  Added a few enamel dots and this encouragement card is ready to go!  I am sharing this card for the January - Anything Goes challenge #30 over at Love to Craft.

Thank you for your visit, I hope your new year is off to a great start and that you'll come back again soon.
