Retirement Salute

Hello and happy Monday, I meant to share this project yesterday but as life would have I didn't get around to it.  Baby Girl hasn't been feeling well so I've had to be her nurse.  Today's project share is another LO that I recently completed for her high school album. I used pictures taken during the Richmond Public Schools retirement banquet where she was invited to salute the retirees.  I used leftover paper scraps from previous projects with the exception of the base,  Little Birdie handmade wreaths and some TPC Studio metal accents.  I even pulled out my Sizzix Sidekick and cut the lettering for the title.  I'm sharing this LO for the Anything Goes challenge #94 over at Cardz TV and challenge #36 over at Love to Scrap.

Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll return soon.

CIU #179 - Critters

Hello and happy Friday, another hot day here in the Commonwealth.  Today's project share is my design team project for the Cut it Up challenge blog.  The theme for challenge #179 is Critters and our sponsor is Kitten Scraps.

This is one of those projects where I struggled, way too much going on and I feel like I need to step up my game.  I colored the frog from our sponsor with color pencils, used sketch inspiration from Tuesday Morning Skerches #513 and paper from the Bella Blvd Make Your Mark 6x8 paper pad.  Finished the card by adding some ribbon and a Paper Studio heart gem.

I hope you will stop by the Cut it Up challenge blog for more inspiration and join us for our Critters challenge for a chance to win a prize from Kitten Scraps. The challenge starts today and end on Wednesday, August 7,  2019 at noon EST.

Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a great weekend.

HS Academy

Hello and happy Wednesday, another hot day but not as hot as it has been.  Today's project share is another completed LO for Baby Girl's high school album using sketch inspiration from Sketch N Scrap #181.  I used pictures from the culminating event of the VCU Health Science Academy, she was one of the participants during her 10th grade school year.  The papers came from the Authentique Accomplished 12x12 paper pad, Recollections embellishments and I cut the title using my label maker and the Cricut Creative Memories This & That cartridge.  She leaves in a few weeks and I am sad to say I won't have this album done, busy creating more memories to scrap!

Thank you for your visit,  I hope you'll return again soon!

Canvas Project

Hello and happy hot Monday,  with a forecast for storms this afternoon.  I am so looking forward to some cooler temps this week.  Today I am doing a quick drive by post to share a canvas project that I made as part of a graduation gift.  I used vinyl to cut the wording and used the Cricut Graduation cartridge to cut the caps.  I see more canvas projects in my future, just need to master using more than one color of vinyl.  I am sharing this for the Bitten by the Bug 2 anything but a card challenge.

Thank you for your visit, try to stay cool in this extreme heat.  I hope you'll return again soon!

For You

Hello and happy Saturday, more hot weather  in today's forecast. It's the weekend, what's on your agenda; my plan is to hangout with some other scrapbookers and work on some LOs for Baby Girl's high school album.  Today I am sharing a card created using sketch inspiration from Sketch N Scrap card sketch #149.  I used papers from the My Mind's Eye A Happy Heart 6x6 paper pad, cut the hearts using a die from Amy Tangerine, finished the card with a stamped sentiment and a few Teresa Collins enamel dots and this card was done.  I have at least four birthdays next month so someone will probably receive this card!  I'm sharing this card for the Anything Goes challenge #94 over at Cardz TV.

Thank you for  your visit and I hope you'll return soon.

Jolly and Happy

Hello and happy Thursday, another heat advisory today but not as warm as yesterday!  Today I am doing a drive by post sharing a super quick card that I put together using sketch inspiration from Atlantic Hearts sketch #325.  In keeping with the Christmas in July theme I decided to create a card using pattern paper and a cut apart for the sentiment from the Craft Smith Say Freeze 6x6 paper pad gifted to me by one of my scrappin' besties!  I finished the card off by adding a few Queen & Co Jellies.  I'm sharing this card for the Use Your Stuff challenge #367- Masculine.  I hope I have more time to play this weekend!

Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll return soon.

Shadow Box

Hello and happy Tuesday, another hot day here in our area.  I am doing a quick drive by post as I just haven't had time to share.  Sunday we had our daughter's trunk party so I had been really busy preparing for it, I hope to share more soon.  So today I am sharing the shadow box that we did for her graduation memorabilia, this is one of the few crafting projects that she actually helped me do!  This was something that she really wanted to do and I am happy that she was pleased when it was done!  It is heavy too so we need to decide whether we are going to hang it or display it!  I'm sharing this project for the Anything Goes challenge #93 over at Cardz TV and the July LTCCB #36.

Thank you for your visit, I hope you'll return soon.

CIU #178 - Christmas in July

Hello and happy Friday, more seasonal temps in the forecast for our area.  Today I am sharing my latest design project for the Cut it Up challenge blog.  The theme for challenge #178 is Christmas in July and our sponsor is Scrappy Dew.

As much I as I try to step out of my comfort zone it seems as though I can't get away from my clean and simple style of crafting.  When putting this card together, I used the Christmas flower from the sponsor, cut the flower, inked the edges, assembled the layers and added a little glimmer to the center of the flower which is barely visible in the picture.  I used papers from my scrap stash, added the flower with some dimensional adhesive, stamped the sentiment and this card was done!

For more inspiration visit the Cut it Up challenge blog, create your Christmas in July project and share it for a chance to win a prize from Scrappy Dew.

Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a wonderful weekend.

Last 2 Standing

Wow, where does the time go?  The days seem to go by so fast, so much to do and so little time! Today I am sharing another LO for Baby Girl's high school album, I won't make my goal of having the album completed for her trunk party; maybe by the time she leaves for school next month.  This picture was taken during the culminating event for the Young Adult Police Commissioners, they started out with seventeen students and for whatever reason the year ended with just these two!  The pattern piece of paper  and brads came from the DCWV high school  line, The lettering and wood veneer pieces have been in my stash for a long time and I used the Creative Memories This & That Cricut cartridge to cut the arrow.  I am sharing this project for the Anything Goes challenge #118 over at Always Fun challenges and Cardz TV #93.

Thank you for your visit, I hope you'll return soon.

Independence Day

Hello happy Thursday and 4th of July, more high temps and  pop up storms in today's forecast and rain most of the weekend.  I am up early even though I could be sleeping in, I need to start my chores which  includes going outside to pull some weeds.  Today's project share is a card that I put together using sketch inspiration from Try Stampin on Tuesday challenge #414.  I used more papers from the Pebbles Americana 6x6 paper pad, I found the tag and sentiment in my stash of  cuts  from previous projects, added some rhinestone stars and a bow tied with twine and this card was done!  I am sharing this card for Patriotic challenge #117 over at Always Fun Challenges  and the Anything Goes challenge #92 over at Cardz TV.  Since I waited so late my July 4th cards will sit in my stash until next year!

Thank you for your visit, be safe and enjoy your holiday.
