Hello Friday

Its the weekend and I'm so excited as I'm planning to leave work a few minutes early.  Its cold outside but DD and I are planning to attend the city's grand illumination this evening; I didn't dress appropriately so I need to run home and put more layers on so I won't freeze.  I'm feeling a little better today and hoping my mood will improve even more by tomorrow so I can get my holiday cards completed while I'm at the crop.  Since I'm "queen of simple" scrapbooking and cardmaking I hope to get them finished, sometimes I wish I had an eye for stepping up my game but its just not in me!  So today I'm sharing another card that I made recently, nothing fancy its the thought that counts!  Have a great day, come back tomorrow for the kick-off of my December daily venture.

Welcome Back

Its seems like forever since I've taken the time to update my blog, its been rather hectic and I'm not sure when it will slow down.  Today I'm sharing a card that I made for my daughter's math teacher.  The teacher just came back yesterday after being  out on leave for a few weeks and she wanted to let her know that she was glad that she was back!  We had a little bit of drama with one of the subsitutes that resulted in me having to speak to the principal.

Thanksgiving was good, spending time with the in-laws and trying to do some things around the house.  We had about 22 relatives that made it to Virginia for dinner, two came down from Ohio, three from Maryland and five from Georgia.  After dinner we watched a family DVD of pictures we all shared with the hostess.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving! I'm wishing you and your family a blessed Thanksgiving with lots of love, good food and fellowship.  However you choose to celebrate I hope that your heart is filled with gratitude and thankfulness.  I am so thankful for my faith, family, friends and unconditional love!  I've been so busy that I haven't been able to update my blog, I have been doing some crafting but I am disappointed to say I won't be able to finish the album that I wanted to share tomorrow!  One of my goals this month was to send greeting cards to some of the members of the RAK group over at SOC; I never imagined it would be such a big task but never the less I think I've done okay.  I hope to share pictures of the last few cards since I didn't take pictures of the others before I put them in the mail.  Enjoy your holiday and be safe.

Family Dance Party

Happy Friday, I am so sleepy.  I came into work late because I volunteered at my daughter's school and now I'm ready for a nap!  Today's LO is another LO for our reunion album and it is of our Saturday Night dance party!  I also submitted this LO for a challenge posted over at Stampin' Dymonz Scrap Shack.  The challenge was to complete a LO using only three colors of paper, a tag with a stamped image and a diecut.  All items used were from my stash that included three different cricut cartridges, an old stamp from the $1 bin at Michaels, some ribbon, a border punch and a button

Wednesday Wanderings

Welcome to another edition of my Wednesday ramblings!  Its cold outside and we may be getting some rain soon.  Congrats to the 'Big Chief" I'm so glad the election is over, now lets all rally behind our leader and pray that our country can move forward.  With the Thanksgiving holiday only two weeks away I'm pressing to finish our family reunon album so I can share it on Thanksgiving Day.  So today I'm sharing another LO that will be included in that album, it is a LO from my DH's reunion that we hosted here.  One of my responsibilites was to set up a tour of the city.  We had a guided tour that took us pass Virginia Union University, Jackson Ward (historically black section in downtown), the state capital and as our tour ended we drove pass the monuments as well.  I used the cricut cartridge Plantin Schoolbook to cut the city diecut and quarter note for the title.
