Tuesday Musings

Hello and happy Tuesday morning, doing a quick drive by post to share a Valentine's Day card that I put together using sketch inspiration from Sketch N Scrap card  sketch #258.  The papers came from the Honey Bee Stamps Hugs and Kisses 6x6 paper pad, the puffy heart stickers  and the stamp used for the sentiment came from Hobby Lobby.  I am still shopping my stash, trying not buy any craft related items at least for the next six months!  I have lots of unused in my stash so it's time to use it or part with it!

Thank you for your visit, take care and hurry back soon.

Seasoned With Love

Hello and happy cloudy Sunday, doing a quick drive by post to share a card created using sketch inspiration from Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge #741.  I shared this card for 2Crafters1Design challenge over on IG, their challenge was to use peachy keen stamps; I stamped a face on a ginger that was leftover from another project.  I used  papers from an old Grahic 45 6x6 paper pad, a Crafter's Companion edge die, a Honey Bee stamp for the sentiment and some wooden hearts.  I haven't spent a lot of time crafting because of life issues but I am hoping to ease back into my routine of creating more soon.

Thank you for your visit, take care and hurry back soon.

CIU #296 - Makes Me Happy

Hello and happy Friday, let the weekend begin.  Today's project share is a layout created for my design team project for the Cut it Up challenge blog.  The theme for challenge #296 is This Makes Me Happy.

Ordinarily I would scrap something family centered but this picture was sitting on my table waiting to be scrapped.  I am a shoe girl, love shoes and my feet are always happy when I put on some new shoes.  On that particular day I was sitting in church and snapped this picture of my feet!  I used mostly scraps of paper, the pattern sheet came for a Paper Studio paper pack, I think the name of it is Boss Babe.  I used stickers for the title, a hexagon die set, a shoe punch, some floss and a  few other embellishments.

Head on over to the Cut it Up challenge blog for more inspiration.  Create and share your Happy project using a die; the challenge starts today and ends February 7, 20224 at noon PST.

Thank you for your visit, continue to be safe and hurry back again soon.

Just Saying Hello

Good morning, life continues and the valleys can overwhelm you to the point where your can't see the peaks.  Today I am sharing the one card that I was able to complete last week; I used sketch inspiration from challenge #639 over at Try a Sketch on Tuesday.  I used mostly random paper scraps from Vicki Boutin, pulled out an old EK Success butterfly punch, a Hero Arts stamp set for the sentiment and a few gems and the card was done.

Thank you for your visit, continue to be safe and hurry back soon.

CIU #295 - Something New

Hello and happy Friday, life has been a little wild lately but I'm pressing on.  Today's project share is my design team project for the Cut it Up challenge blog.  The theme for challenge #295 is A New Year (use a new tool, design, technique, idea, etc).

In my head I had a lot of things/ideas that would meet the criteria of the challenge theme but as life would have it I created this card using a new cover plate die and some color pops that I had from Scrapbook.com, a free item with a purchase.  So I am happy that I was able to use two new unused items from my stash. This may have been the first time that I tried the inlay technique too! Purple is one of my favorite colors so I just paired it with another sheet of paper that was sitting on my desk from another project. I am sharing my card for the January challenge #119 over at Path of Positivity challenge blog and #58 over at Never Before Used Stuff.

Now that you've seen my project, I hope you will visit the Cut it Up challenge blog for more design team inspiration, we have four new team members that recently joined.  I hope you will be inspired to create and share your  project using  something new from your crafty stash, don't forget to use a die, The challenge starts today and ends, Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at noon PST.

Thank you for your visit, take care and hurry back soon.

Bee Happy

Hello Monday and Happy Birthday to my Aunt Andrea!  I'm not sure she'll visit my blog or even remembers me telling her about it! We have lots of birthdays in our family during the first two months of the year.  I used sketch inspiration from Try a Sketch on Tuesday challenge #638, some Honey Bee Stamps papers, a Sizzix  die set for the bee and the bee happy, a stamped sentiment and a few gems and this card was done.

Thank you for  your visit, continue to be safe and hurry back again soon.

First Friday Musings

Hello Friday, why am I up at this early hour; I had originally planned to share this card yesterday but as life would have it I didn't.  So here it is the 5th and I'm sharing my first project of the year and it is another New Years card; I hope to get them in the mail soon.  Today's card share uses sketch inspiration from Tuesday Morning Sketches #738, more papers from the papers sitting on my desk, a Spellbinders star die set and stamp set for the sentiment.  I cut the numbers using a Sizzix die set.  I'm awake so I am going to get these cards ready for the mail today!  I'm sharing this card for the January Anything Goes challenge over on A Perfect Time to Craft.

Thank you for your visit, take care and hurry back soon.
