Tuesday Musings

 

Hello and happy Tuesday, doing a quick drive by post to share another card; trying to do better in posting.  I created today's card using sketch inspiration from Try a Sketch on Tuesday #664, rather than straight lines I used torn edges.  The papers came from a very old Graphic 45 6x6 paper pad, I  heat embossed the sentiment and added a few gems and this card was done. I am all in my stash trying to declutter and decrease!

Love You a Ton

It's Saturday morning and I should be still asleep but there's just too much going on that I can't really rest well  So I am up organizing and make more of a mess!  Today's card was suppose to be shared yesterday but as life would have it I didn't finish the post so here it goes today!  I created this card using sketch inspiration from challenge #663 over at  Try a Sketch on Tuesday.  I used more scraps for the strips from a really old Stampin' Up paper pad that was gifted to me many years ago.  The hippo and sentiment is  from the Stampin' Up Hippest Hippos set.  I tried more coloring but now that I'm writing this maybe I should have colored the hippo a different color.

Hello and happy Sunday, the start to a new week with some rain and warner temperatures in he forecast.  Doing an afternoon drive by post to share a card created using sketch inspiration from Try a Sketch on Tuesday challenge #660.  Used some Paper Studio paper and a Darice snowflake die and a Spellbinders stamp set for the sentiment!  This is one of those card where you let the paper do most of the work  I am sharing this card for the Winter but not Christmas challenge #536 over at Shopping Our Stash.

Hello Monday, happy Memorial Day.  Today's card share is one created using sketch inspiration from  challenge #647 over at Try a Sketch on Tuesday.  I used a leftover piece of pattern paper from a recent project, a piece of  washi tape another scrap piece of paper and a Paper Studio gemstone start (last one in the package).  Finished the card by adding stamped sentiment and a few more stars and this card was done!

Hello Spring

 Hello Thursday afternoon, doing a quick drive by post to share another card.  Today's card uses sketch inspiration from Try a Sketch on Tuesday, challenge #643, miscellaneous papers and items that were sitting on my desk within arms reach.  I cut the pots using a Cottage Cutz die, the watering can and tulip are Echo Park dies and the sentiment stamp is from an unbranded set.  Finished the card by adding a few gems and it is now ready to go postal; no Spring temps in our forecast!

It's Your Happy Day

 

Hello Saturday, it's pouring buckets of rain so I will only go out as necessary!  Hopefully I can get a lot of play time in and schedule some blog post.  I'm doing a quick post to share a card that I created using sketch inspiration from Try a Sketch on Tuesday challenge #641.  I used mostly random papers from my scrap stash, the pattern piece came from a Pink Fresh Studio 6x6 paper pad.  I shared this card on IG for the @craftydares challenge which was to include some embossing and a cupcake.   Another card done, using my stash and ready to go postal soon.

Monday Musings

 

Hello rainy Monday evening, doing a quick drive by post to share another Valentine's Day card.  I used sketch inspiration from Try a Sketch on Tuesday challenge #640, and some random scrap papers.  Added a dotted oval, some twine and a glittered heart and this card was done!  The sentiment was stamped on the inside of the card.  I'm sharing this card for the Valentine challenge #161 over at the Crafting Happiness challenge blog.

Just Saying Hello

 

Good morning, life continues and the valleys can overwhelm you to the point where your can't see the peaks.  Today I am sharing the one card that I was able to complete last week; I used sketch inspiration from challenge #639 over at Try a Sketch on Tuesday.  I used mostly random paper scraps from Vicki Boutin, pulled out an old EK Success butterfly punch, a Hero Arts stamp set for the sentiment and a few gems and the card was done.

Bee Happy

 Hello Monday and Happy Birthday to my Aunt Andrea!  I'm not sure she'll visit my blog or even remembers me telling her about it! We have lots of birthdays in our family during the first two months of the year.  I used sketch inspiration from Try a Sketch on Tuesday challenge #638, some Honey Bee Stamps papers, a Sizzix  die set for the bee and the bee happy, a stamped sentiment and a few gems and this card was done.

Making Lemonade

 

Hello and happy Sunday, when life give you lemons you made lemonade!  Today's card share was created using sketch inspiration from Try Stampin' on Tuesday #607 and papers from the Recollections When Life Gives You Lemons 12x12 paper pad,  I used a Cottage Cutz Stitched Wonky die set,  a Sparkle & Co stamp set for the lemon and for the sentiment I used a stamp and die set from Alina Crafts; finished the card by adding some gold thread behind the sentiment!

Birthday Greetings

Hello and happy Tuesday, today cloudy skies and rain in today's forecast in our area.  Today's project share is a birthday card using sketch inspiration Try Stampin' on Tuesday challenge #606. On Saturday,   I went to a crop with a local group of scrappers and this was the "make and take" that we were given; I decided to take mine home as I was working on something else and I also decided to alter mine a little.  I wanted to use the sneaker die that I had recently received.  I am still trying to figure out the laces, it will always be a work in progress.  We were  given the card base, doily, sentiments and a stamped image to color (I will use it later).  I just used some pattern papers from the DCWV Indian Summer paper stack and a few diamond dotz.  I am also sharing this card for the Use Your Stuff challenge #484 - Use a Technique, I inked the edges and used a multi-layer diecut.

Tuesday Musings

 Hello Tuesday night, doing a quick drive by post to share another Mother’s Day card.  I put this clean simple card together using sketch inspiration from Try Stampin’ on Tuesday sketch #604,  pattern papers from Vicki Boutin Sweet Rush 6x8 paper pad.  Cut the flags using a Sizzix die, stamped the sentiment with a Studio G stamp and added  two brads from my stash and this card was done. The card came out cute but I think the bold print in the paper overpowers the flags.

Hello and happy Thursday, another warm day in our area.  Today's card share is card using sketch inspiration from Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch challenge #601, pattern paper from the Pebbles Kid at Heart  paper pad, a Sizzix wreath die, flowers and a stamped sentiment that has been sitting around for some time! Finished  the card by adding a few Paper Study gems to the flower centers and it is ready to go!

 Hello and happy Saturday morning, doing a quick drive by post as I have a full day ahead of me.   I was off work yesterday and spent most of the day doing nothing which is what we all need sometimes!  Today's card share was created using inspiration from Try Stampin' on Tuesday challenge #600.  I used papers from the Doodlebug Designs Take Note 6x6 paper pad, a Sizzix die set for the lemons and  orange slice and a Sizzix stamp for the sentiment.  I finished the card by adding some Honey Bee Stamps rainbow gems!

Tuesday Musings

 Hello and happy Tuesday morning,  doing a quick drive by post to share another birthday card.  I created this card using sketch inspiration from Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch number 599, scraps of paper from my stash and a previously die cut sentiment.  I have to really work harder at using my stash since I went to Tuesday Morning yesterday and they had items marked 80 and 90 percent off.  I really didn't need anything but there were a few items that I had been watching so I took advantage of the prices.  I am really sad to see them go but I did learn that there would still be one that I could visit when I go to visit my parents.

 Hello and happy Tuesday, special election day so I walked to the polls and voted and got in a morning walk.  Today's card was created using sketch inspiration from Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch #594,  more papers from the My Mind's Eye Fly A Kite  6x6 paper pad, a Mama Elephant stamp and die set, a Crafter's Companion edge die and some gems.  Another card done and ready to go postal! Hello Wednesday, today I am sharing a birthday card that I created over the weekend using sketch inspiration from Try Stampin' on Tuesday challenge #590.  Monday was my sister's birthday so this card is going to her late (of course).  I used some Momenta papers, an embossing folder, Spellbinders circle and scallop circle die, a Prima flower and some Recollections gems.  Still working to use my stash but sad to say I did recently add somethings!

Hello and happy Sunday, the start to a new week and the pace for everything seems to be picking up.  Today's project share is two cards that I created using sketch inspiration from Try Stampin' on Tuesday challenge #584.  I'm just trying to use more of my stash items that have been sitting for quite sometime; the pattern papers came from a K&Co photo mat pad.  The strip behind the banner die was cut using some DCWV Glitzy pastel paper, a stitched banner die, two different letter set dies for the sentiment added some enamel dots and these cards were done.  I will be sharing these non-traditional colored holiday cards with some kids that recently suffered a loss of a parent.

 Hello and happy Sunday, the start of a new week and the end of a holiday weekend! Lots going on but still lots to be thankful for and hopeful for God’s continued grace and mercy.  Todays card share is another signature clean and simple card created with inspiration from Try Stampin’ on Tuesday sketch #583. I used DCWV card base and papers papers a Cottage Cutz skate die and some gems. The  sentiment is a Cardz TV stamp and the stitched circle was cut using an unbranded die.

I went back to my signature clean and simple card using sketch inspiration from Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch #581. I used more  papers are from the DCWV Farmstead Harvest 6x6 paper stack, used a CTMH stamp for the sentiment and finished the card by adding a few Bo Bunny faux pearl gems.
