Friday Musings

 Wow, this week has been busy and I haven't had time to play; I was crafting for work and a swap. Today I am doing a quick drive by post to share a card created using sketch inspiration from Freshly Made Sketches #759, pattern papers from the Love Nicole Happy Haunting  6x6 pad. I used a frame die set from Scrapbook.com, the ghost  and sentiment came from a Spellbinders die set  and a piece of Recollections trim. Another card, where I s shopped my stash! I don’t really do too many Halloween cards only when I want to join a challenge, I am sharing this one on IG.for a YT challenge.

CIU #367 - Pretty in Pink

 Hello and happy Friday, let the weekend begin! Today's card share is my project for the  Cut it Up challenge blog. When putting my card together for this challenge I used random papers, an embossing folder and several different die sets for the candy canes and poinsettia. The sentiment is an old Colorbok metal sticker that has been in my stash for a long time!

Pink Hope

 

Hello Wednesday and in honor of survivors, those currently in the fight and those that have lost the battle I created this card for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I created this rocker style card using mostly paper scraps from the Me & My Big Ideas kit that I have had for several years., this one was gifted to me as I had used the one that I had originally purchased.  I really shopped my stash for the card, letter stickers from Dollar Tree, the ribbon sticker from Michael's, typed and  printed the sentiment on my computer and one of my first Spellbinders circle die sets.

Hello and happy Monday, if you are in the US you may be celebrating Indigenous Peoples' Day. I should have taken the off too but I will save that time for another day.  Today I am sharing a card created using sketch inspiration from Freshly Made Sketches #757. When putting this card together I used more paper scraps, something old (embossing folder) and something relatively new to my stash. The Spellbinders Counting Sheep stamp and die set is something that I recently purchased.  This is one of those cards that looks just like what you originally visioned!

 Hello Sunday, just do another drive by post sharing another card. For this card I used sketch inspiration from Sketch N Scrap, sketch #2 for World Cardmaking Day. I used more scraps from leftover paper from previous projects, a sunflower die and some enamel gems. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment.

Thankful Thursday

 Hello and happy little Friday! Today”s card share is one that was created using sketch inspiration from Try a Sketch on Tuesday. The random papers were left over from a previous project, used a Sizzix die set to cut the sentiment and finished by adding some glittered enamel dots! This signature clean and simple card is done and will be part of my Fall/Thanksgiving cards going out soon!

World Cardmaking Day

 Hello and happy Saturday and WCD! It is currently raining so I am back home getting in some play time! I got up early and joined others as we walked/ran in the CKG Speak Up 5k in support of teen mental health.  

Today’s card was created using sketch inspiration from Freshly Made Sketches #756 and some more random papers and items left over from previous projects. I think it came out fine and it will be going postal soon. I am sharing this card for the Anything Goes challenge over at Word Art Wednesday for weeks #772-773.

Hello October, another busy month with lots to do and less time to play! Today’s project share is a layout that I put together documenting my participation in a 5k for ovarian cancer awareness. Hello, rainy morning doing a quick post before I get ready for work. It has been raining most of the night so I won’t get a morning walk done but I am hopeful that I will get out this evening. I am still trying to find my crafting mojo! Today I am sharing my latest layout documenting our lunch date on Baby Girl”s birthday earlier this year. She didn’t want a big celebration so we all just went out to lunch.  I just pulled random items from my stash and loosely following a sketch I got this layout done! I used some really old die sets to cut the typewriter and numbers. I had a mishap with the splatter so that required some adjustments.

CIU #365 - Orange and Black

 

Hello and happy Friday, today I am sharing my project for the Cut it Up challenge blog. The theme for challenge #365 is Orange and Black (dominate colors).  I created this fall themed card using  four different die sets, a pattern piece of paper from a Love Nicole 6x6 paper pad, and a piece of acetate for the window (can't see it in the picture). I  decided not to add an additional sentiment on the front of the card. I am sharing this card for the Word Art Wednesday challenge for weeks #770-771.

 Hello Saturday, stopping in to share a Fall card created using Freshly Made Sketches  #573 for inspiration. I am still pairing random papers with scrap pierces from my stash as I am working on using unused or less used items from my stash! I used a TH Sizzix Wood Slices die set, finished by adding some Simple Stories enamel dots.  I am sharing this card for the Word Art Wednesday Anything Goes challenge for weeks #768-769.

Happy Thoughts

 Doing a quick drive by post to share another recently created card.  I used sketch inspiration from Atlantic Hearts  challenge #698, more papers from my scrap stash with some pattern paper pieces from My Minds Eye Hootenanny 6x6 paper pad. Cut the flowers from one of the Spellbinders die sets, a stamped sentiment from Hampton Arts; finished by adding a few gems and a bow tied within some twine. I am sharing this card for the September Anything Goes challenge over at A Cut Above.

Tuesday Musings

 Well I started this post last night and never finished , I am doing a drive by post so I can get moving toward getting out of the house this morning! I have  mixed feelings about this card as I haven’t really been in a creative mood lately and it seems my “crafting mojo’ may be on vacation! Today”s card was created using sketch inspiration from Freshly Made Skerches challenge #752. I used more papers from my scrap stash, a wreath die,  a bow die, a stamped  sentiment and a few gems. I hope this week brings me some renewed energy!

Hello Tuesday doing a drive by post before  work as I actually started this post on Sunday and as life would have it I didn’t finish it! I created this card using sketch inspiration from Try a Sketch on Tuesday challenge #702. I used a Spellbinders die set for the balloons, random papers from my stash including a pattern sheet from Bazzill  School Days. Stamped the sentiment using white pigment ink and a Crafter's Square stamp.

CIU #363 - Moving Along

 Hello Friday, sharing my project for the Cut it Up challenge blog. The theme for challenge #363 is Moving Along (Transportation). I decided to use a bicycle which I cut using a Sizzix die which was part of a set. This card contains a mix of old and new to my stash items.  The paper and sticker used for the sentiment were purchases from this year.

Hello and happy Sunday doing a drive by post to share a card that I created for one of my crafting friends. I am not sure why but I almost forgot so she'll be getting her card late. I created the envelope shaped card using the Spellbinders Envelope of Wonder die set.  l used a MS punch for the butterflies and added gems to some of the flowers and stamped the sentiment. This is one of those sets that requires time and patience; not sure when I will use it again! 

I shared this card over on IG for a shaped  card challenge and for the Tic Tac Toe challenge #299. I used the right diagonal row (insects, gems, free).
