Sunday Musings

Hello and happy Saturday, doing a quick drive by post to share a card created for someone that needed some encouragement. I used sketch inspiration from Try a Sketch on Tuesday #700, papers from my scrap stash and a stamped sentiment from one of the American Crafts Bible Journaling sets. I didn’t add any gems since the card is going to a male. I am still using my stash, trying to organize and declutter so my posting is a little sporadic!

Thank you for your visit, take care and hurry back again soon.

CIU #361 - Emboss It

Hello and happy Friday, welcome to another card created for the Cut it Up challenge blog. The theme for challenge #361 is Emboss It (dry or heat) and I did both!  I embossed the background panel using the Spellbinders Splatter  embossing folder, colored it using distress oxide ink (stormy sky) and some Recollections ink for the green. Cut the wheelbarrow,  flower pots and tulips using different dies from my stash, heat embossed the sentiment and this card is ready to go postal!

I am sharing this card for the Anything Goes challenges over at A Cut Above and Word Art Wednesday for Weeks #762-763.

Now that you have seen my embossed project I hope you will visit the Cut it Up challenge blog for more design team inspiration. Create and share your embossed project (dry or heat) and don’t forget to use a die. The challenge starts today and ends Monday,  August 3, 2026 at noon PST.

Thank you for your visit, take care and hurry back again soon.

Christmas Cheer

Hello and happy Sunday,  doing a drive by post to share another holiday card. I used sketch inspiration from Freshly Made Sketches #744, Recollections pattern paper, a postage stamp die set, created my reindeer girl using a marshmallow die set with  several other die sets! I really had to shop my stash to get this project done. The sentiment came from an ephemera pack from my stash. This is my second Christmas in July card, not sure if I will have time to create others.

I am sharing this card for the Die Cut Divas Christmas in July challenge.

JUMP

Hello Wednesday, doing a quick drive by post as I meant to share yesterday. I have been busy finishing up my layouts for my quarterly goal! Today starts a new quarter and I already got plans this weekend to work on a few layouts as I don't have any holiday plans.

I created this 81/2x11 layout to document a holiday visit to see the lights outside and visit Santa's indoor fun workshop.  I used my brick stencil to add some interest to the background, I always want the photos to be the focal point for my layouts, shopped my stash for some lettering for the title. Cut a few embellishments, added some enamel dots and this was layout was done.

I am sharing this layout for Just Us Girls challenge #829 - Stencil Week.

Thank you for your visit, take care and hurry back soon.

When putting this layout together I just used random papers from my stash, created the title and sub-title  using Thickers, label maker and sticker letters.  All other elements created using miscellaneous die sets.

Tuesday Musings

Hello Tuesday, doing another quick drive by post to share something a little different,  a junk journal page. One of our contract workers will be leaving this week and since we introduced her to junk journaling we decided to have everyone create a farewell journal  page where we all added a page or a note. She is loves to read so this is is why I created this book nook themed page.  I stenciled the background using the Taylored Expression Brick by Brick stencil, the Spellbinders Study Nook die set and a Cardz TV stamp for the sentiment.

I am sharing this project for the June Anything Goes challenge over at A Cut Above and the Just Us Girls Anything Goes Stencil Week challenge #825.

Hello Friday, let the weekend begin! Today's project share is a friendship themed card created for the Cut it Up challenge blog. CIU #356 - Flowers

Hello Friday, let the weekend begin! Today's project share is my design team member project for the Cut it Up challenge blog. The theme for  challenge #356 is flowers so I reached for two more die sets (flowers and sentiment) from the  2024 Spellbinders Advent Calendar, one of the items that you have in your stash waiting for the right time to use it! This is a true shopping your stash project, the pattern papers are from the American Crafts Cutie Pie paper pad, I  used sketch inspiration from the Atlantic Hearts sketch challenge #681; like when a card comes together as you vision it in your head but I don't like the little pieces in these die sets (maybe that's why they had been tucked away)!

Now that you're seen my flower project I hope you will visit the Cut it Up challenge blog for more inspiration, create and share your project using flowers. The challenge starts today and ends Monday, May 25, 2026 at noon PST. Don't forget to use a die on your project.

Thank you for your visit, continue to be safe and hurry back again soon.
