Cards
Hello Sunday, hope you are enjoying your holiday weekend. I have been busy hanging out with my family but during my "me time" I managed to finish the cards I'm sharing today. My husband has recently started asking for more cards so I decided to try to make some to have on hand, I just used misc. paper and embellishments from my stash to create more of my signature "simple cards." I hope to try some of the one sheet wonders soon but for now I've got to concentrate on getting rid of my mountain of paper scraps. I'm going to be printing some pictures soon so I will be sharing a LO sometime later this week. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Congrats!
Its that time of year as we celebrate and honor graduates! So today I'm sharing a card that will be going postal to a husband and wife that recently graduated as they were able to walk together as both of them received their master's degrees.
The inspiration for this card came from Clean & Simple Stamping where I just used misc. paper scraps, a $1 stamp and some Jolee's boutique stickers from my stash. I am also sharing this card for week #22 challenge over at Scraps of Color. I also linked this card up to Old Back Porch for her 52 card pick-up challenge.
Its the start of the holiday weekend and I'm looking forward to a little rest and relaxation. I hope you have a safe and blessed Memorial Day!

Whatever Wednesday
Hello and welcome back to another "Whatever Wednesday" post! Today I'm sharing another trademark simple birthday card that I made last night for one of my daughter's friends; I keep trying to step out of my comfort zone but I always go back! The pattern paper with the numbers came from a Making Memories paper pad that I've had in my stash forever, the cupcake stamp (Hero Arts) and I used my Spectrum markers to color the cupcake and added a little flowered bling to the top!
I'm also sharing this card for week #18 blog challenge over at Scraps of Color. Week #18 challenge was to use numbers on your project. I am enjoying this challenge even though I'm not current with my post!
Prayers and praises for those affected by the tornado in Oklahoma. Thank you for stopping by, wishing you a blessed day.

Anniverary Card
I have been doing a little creating but not alot and I haven't had a chance to post the cards that I have been making. I'm still trying to work with my stash so I'm proud to say that this card was made with paper scraps and embellishments from my stash. I just need to take some time and go through my scraps and make lots of cards so I am not scrambling when I need a card. So today I am sharing a simple anniversary card that will be going postal later today, I hope the recepient likes it! Wishing you a happy scrappin' week; thoughts and prayers for those in the pathway of the severe weather.

Easel Card
Hello Wednesday, I hope you are having a beautiful week, today we are expecting temps in the 80s so I'm looking forward to that. Life has been happening so my carftin' time has been very limited, LOs are my first passion but cards seem to be dominating my time right now. Today I'm shairng a card that I started for one of the NSD challenges on the cricut messageboard but didn't get a chance to finish it until now. It is my first try at making an easel card, I think it came out okay and I'm glad that I decided to step out of my comfort zone to make it. Everything that I used has been in my stash for quite sometime. Now I hope it travels well and makes it to its destination in tact.

Teacher Appreciation
Its the last day for Teacher Appreciation Week and I was torn with whether I was going to do anything. At the ninth hour last night my daughter asked me when I was going to make the cards; I was up until almost midnight putting four cards together. I used this card that I got from the silhouette store but putting the pieces of the pencils together was a job in itself. I used alphabet stickers on the inside and each teacher got a starbucks gift card. I was in such a hurry that I almost forgot to take a picture!

Whatever Wednesday
I have been tirelessly working on Mother's Day cards and NSD challenges and I still don't feel like I'm where I need to be. I'm always looking for simple card and LO sketches but for some reason it still takes a long time for me to select the paper and embellishments before I can finish a project. I'm still just scrappin' my stash which is good but being unorganized doesn't help. My friend Felisa over at The Scrapin Diva is always sharing different sites and ideas. When I saw her card posted using this sketch from Feshly Made Sketches I decided to give it a try She created a beautiful card for Teacher Appreciation Week using the sketch. It was sketch number 84 on their blog. Have a great Wednesday!

Mother's Day
Yesterday was National Scrapbooking Day and I did manage to complete a few challenges; my goal was to mainly work on Mother's Day cards since I need to get them in the mail this week! So today I'm sharing a card that I am submitting for two different challenges.
The first challenge was hosted on the Cricut message board by a group of wonderful Circle crafters. You can head over to Around the Block with Scraplette where she hosted a Tic Tac Toe game. My card uses the three elements in the last column; a cuttlebug folder, bling and ribbon.
Secondly, I'm sharing this card for this month's challenge over at Mema's Crafts where this month's theme is Anything Goes with a suggested Mother's Day and or May Flowers theme.
I'm working on several other projects that have posting deadlines today so I may be back. Thank you for stopping by and have a great week.

Celebrating History
Happy National Scrapbooking Day!
Why has it taken me months to put such a simple LO together, I started on this LO for Black History Month and just never completed it. This LO is one that I completed last night as Tiare hosted and scrapbooked live on Spreecast. We had lots of fun chatting, putting our LOs together and just hanging out. She provided us with a sketch and page kit list for inspiration, you can see her post on her blog.
I still need to add the journaling on this LO as I need to confirm the actual date with DH. This LO includes pictures of my DH when he met Steve Pemberton author of A Chance in the World. Pemberton came to the University of Mary Washington to speak as part of their Black History Celebration. He will also be the keynote speaker for their undergraduate commencement next week. Pemberton penned his life story as a broken boy, his desire to establish his identity and how it shaped him as a man. My husband also learned that he and Pemberton are members of the same fraternity. It is a good read and of course DH had him to sign a copy of his book for our daughter.

Whatever Wednesday
Hello here I am with another Whatever Wednesday post, which simply means nothing special just today happens to be Wednesday. The weather here is cool and breezy, the rain has stopped for a little while and we're hoping for warmer temps. Today I'm sharing another card that I made last night, the inspiration for this card came from yesterday's post over at Two Paper Divas; I just love when post like this arrive in my inbox! So this is one that I'll be using again and again since I've got a million scraps! I just used strips of paper for the present, twine for the bow, a little pearl embellishment and a stamped sentiment and I was done! Take care and have a great day.
