Wednesday Wanderings

Hello and happy Wednesday; cloudy and rain in today's forecast.  I'm stopping in for a quick post as I haven't shared in a bit, it's not that I  haven't been playing but I have been working on a project that I will post tomorrow along with some other Cut it Up challenge blog design team members. Today I am sharing a card that I created using a Julie Nutting doll, I have several dolls and rarely use them.  I created this card for a challenge hosted on the Scraps of Color FB group earlier this month, not sure why I never shared it.  I colored the doll using color pencils, stamped the sentiment on vellum and used a MS punch for the butterflies.  I'm sharing this card for the anything goes challenge #137 over at Cardz TV.

Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll come back tomorrow.  Take care and continue to be safe.

World Mental Health Day

Hello Saturday evening, where has the day gone, feels like I haven’t done anything but in reality I have done a lot!  I am doing a quick drive by post to share a card created for World Mental Health Day which is today. I used papers from a very old DCWV mat stack, a Sizzix flower die, a punch for the awareness ribbon and a xxx CASual Fridays stamp for the sentiment.  Another card done and ready to go postal as needed.

Thank you for your visit, continue to stay safe and enjoy your weekend.

Hello

Happy Saturday, today I am headed to the monthly crop with the RVA Scrappers; can you believe that there was actually two crops today so there  probably won't be too many scrappers in attendance. I am sharing a quick drive by  post of a card that I created as part of a swap.  I used sketch inspiration from Sketch N Scrap #156,  more paper from the Bo Bunny Beautiful Brisk 6x6 paper pad, Darice die for the tree, a few Ki Memories by Hampton Arts gems and a  K&Co stamp for the sentiment.  We were to create a Fall or Halloween themed card and I was paired with someone that requested a Fall card, I hope she liked it!

Thank you for your visit, enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Happy Spring

Hello and happy Wednesday, can you believe it I'm posting two days in a row!  I just need to sync this daylight life times with my body and everything that is going on!  We were so late this morning!  Just a quick post to share of a card created using sketch #359 from Try Stampin' on Tuesday with an optional challenge of using the color green. This signature simple card came together as I was looking through my scraps of paper for another project.  I think the pattern paper is is from Studio G, the sentiment was stamped using some Crafter's Companion stamps and I added some Jellies from Queen & Co. since I thought the card needed something else!  I'm sharing this card for the First and Third challenge over at Scraps of Color.  Take care, stay warm and have a wonderful Wednesday.

Happy March

Hello and happy Thursday, the start of a new month which just happens to National Craft Month!  I have been trying to get this post shared all morning but I have been extremely busy at work, even ate my lunch at my desk!  Today's project share is a LO that I created for the Black History Month bingo challenge over at Scraps of Color.  I originally planned to use some other pictures taken of Baby Girl on one of her trips to the AA museum in Washington but decided to highlight her creating her own history.  She has really grown since joining the Girl Scouts in 3rd grade and is currently making preparations to earn her gold award.  Last summer she traveled to Ohio as a competitively selected Ambassador representing the Commonwealth of Virginia at the National Girl Scout conference and this past Saturday she was the speaker during Thinking Day for her service unit.  This year's theme was Impact so her comments were centered the definition of impact how it relates to Girl Scouts. Thank you for your visit and I hope you return soon.

Fat Tuesday

Hello and happy Tuesday, I'm stopping in today to do a quick driveby post.  I have way too much going on right now and can't focus on my crafting.  Today's card is one that I created for a challenge over at Scraps of Color, the challenge was to create a masculine themed project.  I used more paper from the Time Machine paper pad, I cut the bicyle using the Going Places Cricut cartridge and the sentiment and word bubble is part of a Sizzix stamp/die set.  I'm sharing this card for the Anything Goes Challenge #33 over at Cardz TV.  Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll come back soon.

I love You

Hello and happy Wednesday, more seasonal temps with some areas receiving sleet resulting in delays.  Today we are still celebrating Esperanza; today's project share is the Valentine's Day card that I will be giving to my daughter.  I created the card last Friday during the Friday Night Chat over at Scraps of Color.   I cut the dress using the CTMH Artiste Cricut cartridge and the heart buttons have been in my stash for so long I don't remember where I got them (they may be Recollections) and the stamp used for the sentiment is from Studio G.  I am sharing this card for the Valentine Cards or Treats challenge over at Pause Dream Enjoy.  Thank you for your visit and I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday.

Happy Birthday Felisa

Hello and happy Wednesday, I'm back today to share another LO!  The LO uses a 'usie'  taken when one of my scrapping besties stopped in Virginia while she was heading back to North Carolina this past Spring.  Today is Felisas' birthday so I decided to share this LO on my blog since I finally scrapped it!   Sketch inspiration came from Stick it Down (June challenge), the heart paper came from the Recollections Get Glam hot buy paper pad, I used one of my unbranded dies for the tag and the title was cut from the Summer Celebrations cricut cartridge.  I created this LO for the first and third challenge over at Scraps of Color and will be sharing it for challenge # 311 - Free Style over at Hiding in My Craft Room and the Friendship challenge over at Cut it Up!  Thank you for your visit and I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday.

Tuesday Musings

Hello and happy Tuesday, I'm back today to share another one of my clean and simple signature cards!  We are in the last week of June with July coming in on Saturday so I decided to put together a few 4th of July cards.  The blue pattern paper came from a Martha Stewart Seasonal pad that I picked up in Tuesday Morning recently, the star was cut using the Summer Celebrations cricut cartridge using a sheet of the white pearl finish linen paper from Dollar Tree, added some glimmer mist to the red layer but you can't see it in the picture and finished the card by adding some mini starts from Nicole. I'm sharing this card for the First and Third Challenge 4th of July challenge over at SOC; the Any Holiday Challenge #306 over at Hiding in my Craft Room and the Cardz TV Card Crazy Crafters Anything Goes Challenge #4.  Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll come back again soon!

Thinking of You

Hello Saturday, I am back today sharing a card that was inspired by the weekend challenge over on Stampin' Girls Gone Wild, I shared this card for a challenge over at Embrace Your Art.  I used pattern paper from a very old Making Memories 6x6 pad,  I am not sure I will ever use all of it!  For layering I used the leftover brown paper from the card I shared yesterday.  I cut the sentiment using my George Cricut cartidge (something I haven't done in a long time), added a Recollections flower, ribbon/bow,  some gems and the card was done.  It will be going postal to someone that recently suffered a loss .  Thank you for your visit and enjoy your weekend.

Summertime

Hello and happy Tuesday, still can't find the time to play, the warm temperatures aren't helping.   I have been going through some very old stuff trying to decide if I am going to keep it or not and I still have a ways to go!  I am back today to share a card that I put together using a tag that I received in a swap in 2011, the card came together quite nicely since I had a focal point.  It is one of those projects that look better in person! I will be sharing this card for the summer challenge over at Scraps of Color.  Another clean and simple card using my stash about to go postal soon.

Take care, stay cool and remember to always take the high road!

Wednesday Musings

Wow, where does the time go?  As usual I can't seem to catch up I haven't done a LO in forever!  Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday, we are cleaning up after a really bad storm yesterday.  I am not sure if the weather service said it was a tornado but it was hailing, raining, and the wind blowing very hard lots of damage and power outages.  Thankful that we only lost power for a few hours.  Today I am sharing a mini holiday recipe album that I made as part of a handmade gift for a RAK swap over at Scraps of Color.  I hope the recipient is able to use it as it was a true labor of love, even though it might not look that way.  I am happy to report that I used my Cinch for the first time, it has been sitting in the box forever, it is one of the first releases!  I used chipboard for the covers,  paper from an American Crafts 6x6 paper pad, stickers and Spellbinders dies.  The tutorial instructions came from another video shared by Maymay.  Take care and enjoy your day.

Christmas in July

My heart is heavy and I mourn with and for my country.  Where does all the time go, I just can't seem to stay focused or catch up.  Today I am sharing the card that I started yesterday and finished this morning.  I used some Basic Grey (Jovial) paper that I picked up on clearance at ACMoore.  I liked the pattern so I didn't want to cover it so for inspiration I used this week's sketch over at  Can You Case it?  I am also sharing this card for the Christmas  challenge over at Scraps of Color.  Thank you for your visit, best wishes to you and yours for a wonderful week.

Happy Friday

Hello  Friday are you excited and ready for the holiday weekend?  Do you have plans or will you be like me and do whatever?   It is currently raining here and I am about to get dressed for work.   I was up past midnight putting this card together because I wanted to share it for a challenge over at Scraps of Color since I missed the posting deadline for the last challenge.   I am also sharing this card for  challenge #256 - Any Holiday over at Hiding in my Craft Room.  I used some leftover paper from last year's cards along with a stamp that I colored with my Spectrum Noir markers..  Proud of myself for coloring and using a Stampendous stamp for the first time that has been in my stash for several years.  I  finished the card by adding some stickles, sequins and one of my planner stamps for the sentiment!

Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a safe and fun holiday.

Father's Day

Hello and happy hump day, its a beautiful day here as the rain is high up in the clouds and the sun is shining!  As a matter fact this is the second day of sunshine for us, thankful for the sunshine this week.  Today I am sharing a Father's Day card that I created using inspiration from this week's Mojo Monday sketch and I am also sharing it over at Scraps of Color for the Father's Day themed challenge.  I used more paper scraps from recent projects along with some washi tape, a cuttlebug folder for the embossing, stamp sentiment from Lawn Fawn and a die cut from the Father's Day cricut cartridge.  I am happy with the way that the card card came together as I always struggle with male cards which brings me to my next challenge; stayed tuned for more male themed cards!

Take care and have a wonderful Wednesday.

Sunday Musings

Hello and happy Sunday, I am doing a driveby post as I have been so busy as I haven't had a chance to share on my blog.  I spent the majority of last week working on a project that I will share later this week.  Today I am sharing a card that I made using some leftover paper from an unfinished project that I started last week too!  Today's card is one that I am sharing over at Scraps of Color for an encouragement challenge.  The pattern paper is from the Kahty Davis Happiness paper pad, I picked it up a few years ago on clearance at JoAnn's added a piece of ribbon, a few gems and pop dotted the stamped sentiment and the card was done!

Take care and have a wonderful week.
