CIU #360 - Create Your Own Background

Hello Friday, today's card share is my project for the Cut it Up challenge blog.  The theme for challenge #360 is Create Your Own Background. I created my background by die cutting the butterflies and  randomly glued them on the background layer;  cut the butterfly panel with the stitched rounded corner edge rectangle die thereby creating an embossed look background.  I then added the lilac colored butterfly on top of one of the butterflies on the  and finished by adding a stamped image and some mini gems. The inspiration for this card came from one of the people that I follow on YT.

I am sharing this card for the Anything Goes challenges over at A Cut Above and Crafting Happiness.

I hope that you will visit the Cut it Up challenge blog for more inspiration, create and share your project; don't forget to use a die. The challenge starts today and ends Monday July 20, 2026 at noon PST. We are also hosting a 1000 followers blog

Cut it Up is also hosting a challenge as we are just three followers away from our current goal of  1000! When we reach our goal we will have a drawing where one lucky person will win a box full of crafting goodness. This challenge is open to international followers so head on over and follow the blog!

Thank you for your visit, take care and hurry back again soon.

What a lovely card! I really like the creative background you made by layering the die-cut butterflies—it adds wonderful texture and so much visual interest. The soft lilac butterfly stands out beautifully, and the stitched panel and tiny gems are perfect finishing touches. 🦋
