CIU Sponsor Thank You Blog Hop

Hello and happy Friday, mild temps in the forecast again today.  This  is going to be a long post so you may want to grab your favorite beverage.   Welcome to the Cut it Up challenge blog Sponsor Thank You blog hop.  The Cut it Up design team is most grateful and appreciative for the generosity of our wonderful sponsors.  Their willingness to share products and resources is a valuable service to the crafting community, we would love for you to support our sponsors!   The blog hop lineup is listed below, I am last on the stop so if you started at the Cut it Up blog and followed the hop lineup you have reached the end.

I created cards for Regina from The Cutting Cafe, your one stop shop for affordable printable stamps and cutting files and Melissa from Pink & Main, where you will find stamps, dies, paper and other crafting supplies.

Thanks a Latte
When creating this card I used paper  pattern paper came from the Bo Bunny Modern Miss 6x6 paper pad,  an unbranded die for the cup, the sentiment stamp is from the Fiskars Latte Love stamp set and some hemp cord for the bow.  I added some wink of stellar to the steam but you can't see it in the picture!

Thank You
I created this card using a  pattern piece of paper from the Amy Tangerine Sketchbook 6x6 paper pad, cut the doily using the WeR Memory Keepers Dainty Doily die, stamped the sentiment on an unbranded stitched square die and finished the card by adding some Queen & Co embellishments.

Love is...Me and You

Happy Valentine’s Day and welcome to the Scraps of Color Hearts and Roses Blog Hop!  I, along with some other talented crafters have teamed up to share Valentines and love-themed projects.  Since Valentine’s Day is all about sharing the love, this hop is no exception.  There will be giveaways on various blogs throughout the hop.
Today I’m sharing a little keepsake acrylic album that I created to give to my DH.  It was a labor of love and one that took more time putting together than I thought.  There’s nothing fancy about it since I wanted to highlight the pictures and using such a small space prevented a lot of embellishing.  I am pleased with the way it turned out and I’m sure he’ll appreciate it.  One of the hardest parts was taking the pictures for this post.

Front Cover

Back Cover

I used paper from the Recollections With Love 6x6 paper pad and the DCWV Year Round 8.5 x11 paper stack.  I used my SLICE to cut the title for the top cover and my CRICUT for the back cover.  All items used have been in my stash for a long time with the exception of the little wooden veneers on the back cover.  The album includes pictures from various events including our wedding, his sister’s wedding, fraternity events and other celebrations.

I hope you have enjoyed my project for this weekend’s blog hop and that you’ll visit the other blogs and leave them some love.  In the spirit of love I will be sharing a surprise giveaway for one person that leaves a comment on this post.  I will select one person by random drawing and post the prize and winner before midnight EST on Monday, February 17, 2014.

Stampin' Dymonz Scrap Shack Spring has Sprug Blog Hop

Spring is in and what better way to celebrate it than a spring blog hop!   Welcome to Stampin' Dymonz Scrap Shack Spring Blog Hop!

My card as shown  above is one that I started  last weekend as part of a challenge but then I decided to do something different for that challenge.  The sentiment on the card and the bunny head were both cut with the silhouette cameo and those files came from their online store.  I used paper from the DCWV year round paper stack and the rhinestones used for the eyes came from my stash.  There you have it another signature simple card!

Now won't you hop on over to the other participant's blogs as they showcase a variety of Spring cards.  Have fun hopping and don't forget to leave a comment!

Sistas Scrap Too Christmas & Countdown to the New Year Blog Hop

Christmas is coming and so is the New Year! To get you in the spirit of the season, the divas of SST have come together for a Christmas and Countdown to the New Year blog hop! There are 17 blogs in the hop, so make sure you use the links below this post to hop to all of the participating blogs. No worries if you miss one, you can always go back! These 17 divas have a lot in store for you. From exquisite creations to offers of blog candy, you will enjoy hopping your way to all of the blogs involved! Don't forget to leave some blog love for the creators -- they love getting feedback on their designs!

Christmas Gift Bags
I made these simple holiday gift bags using plain brown lunch bags. Inspiration for this project was found on www.okieladybugsscrapnmore.blogspot.com, she also included a video tutorial. I just used miscellaneous sheets of paper, paper scraps, along with other embellishments. Since I used pattern paper I decided not to use a lot of other embellishments. I did use ribbon, bling, buttons, stickles, floss and the cuttlebug on one of the bags along with punches for the handle holes. This is a quick and economical ways to personalize your gift bags not just for Christmas but anytime!

Gift Tag
My original intent was to make individual gift tags for the bags but I decided instead to just create one large holiday gift tag. I cut the tag using TBBM using the cricut and acetate (packaging from cricut cartridges). I colored the tag with alcohol ink and embellished it and added some ribbon.
