Friday Musings

Hello and happy Friday, hello weekend.  I'm stopping in to do another quick drive by post, today's card share is going to one of scrappin' besties son.  He is currently in basic camp training for the Air Force, I should have been sending him encouragement cards along the way but as life would have it I didn't.  When putting this card together I used Mojo Monday Sketch #558 and papers from a really old 6x6 paper pad that I picked up on clearance from HL.  Most of the sheets were Army specific but I made it work, used the Cricut Stand and Salute cartridge to cut the fighter jet which I popped on a stitched circle die cut.  Added a few Paper Studio stars and use my DYMO embossing label maker for the sentiment and this card was done and will be going postal later today.  I am sharing this card for the Tic -Tac -Toe Challenge #167, I used the bottom row (metallic, gems and pattern paper).

Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a wonderful weekend.

Veterans Day

Hello Monday and Happy Veterans Day!  I am thankful for those that currently serve, have served and gave the ultimate sacrifice.  Today I am doing a quick drive by post sharing a card that I made for one of my co-workers, she is an army veteran.  I  used sketch inspiration from Sketch N Scrap #157, papers from a 6x6 paper pad called Uniformed Collection that I picked up from HL a few years ago.  I used the Stand and Salute Cricut cartridge for the helmet and a stamp from my stash.

Thank you for your visit, I hope you'll visit again soon.

Monday Musings

Hello and happy Monday, the weather forecast calls for hot, humid and thunderstorms.  I'm at work today but off on Tuesday and Wednesday so I'm really grinding today since I was out on Friday too. Today I'm sharing another 4th of July card that I created, I will be using it to send a note to someone. I'm sharing this card for the Patriotic - Red, White and Blue challenge over at Cut It Up! and Bitten By the Bug 2.   The pattern paper came from the Pebbles Americana 6x6 paper pad, I cut the map using the Stand and Salute cricut cartridge and added a few Nicole rhinestone stars and the card was done ready to go postal! Take care and enjoy your holiday!

Happy Veterans Day

Today I'm joining in celebrating, honoring and thanking the many men and women that serve and have served in the armed forces and their families.  Thank you to my dad, uncles, aunts, father-in-law, brother-in-law, other family and friends that have served or continue to serve.  Today I am sharing a card that I put together for one of my co-workers that retired from service in the army.  I used the Stand and Salute cartridge for all the cuts on the card and paper from my stash.

It's going to be a nice day here so I will probably take a walk during lunch.  Thank you for your visit and I hope you will come back soon.

Happy Memorial Day

Wishing everyone a safe and blessed day today. Thanking all those that have given their life in service to their country. Over at SOC the weekend card challenge was to create a patriotic card without using the tradional colors red, white and blue. I made this card using the Stand and Salute cricut cartridge and some paper from my scrap stash. Today I'm also thinking about family and friends that are longer here with us on earth.
