Happy Easter

I am having the hardest time trying to upload pictures to my blog so I don't have a picture to share today.  I don't understand why I can't upload pictures from my desktop, this feature has been gone for a while and now photobucket is not loading properly on this laptop.  I wanted to stop in and wish everyone a blessed and happy Easter/Resurrection day today!  We are visting my son in Pittsburgh for a few days so I should have lots of pictures to share soon!  Wishing you and yours the best today and always.

Birthday Card

Its Tuesday but I feel like its Monday, I took off yesterday and now I feel like I've go to catch up.  Its budget time and time for me to complete all of my online education required training, you know that it comes up every year but for some reason it always seems to catch me off guard.  I'm still working on my other craftin' project and trying to sneak in some of my own stuff too; I'll be so glad when I can work on some LOs!

Today I am sharing a birthday card that I'll send to someone next month, didn't get any March cards in the mail.   I'm also sharing  it for week #10  blog challenge over at Scraps of Color.  The challenge was all about texture, I used layers and embossing.  The embellishments were in a K& Co pack that I've had for a long time; I continue to use my stash but the scrap paper doesn't see to be disappearing!  Thanks for stopping by and try to stay warm.

Hello Monday

Wow its snowing, this is what our back yard looked like just before dark yesterday, no school!

VCU's participation in this year's NCAA big dance is over, they lost to Michigan on Saturday. They continue to make us proud and Richmond marketable! They had a great first season in their new conference.

This is going to be a busy week so I've got to get in gear.  I can alsmost see some light at the end of tunnel of one part of a time sensitive project that I must complete soon.  I will never volunteer to take on such a project again!  I have had to put my own scrappin' on hold which is no fun.

RAMS on the Move

Just a quick shout-out and happy dance as VCU celebrates another victory.  They beat Akron 8842 last night in the NCAA opener; they  will play Michigan tomorrow.  Congrats to coach Smart and the team for continuing the HAVOC momentum!  GO RAMS GO!

Hello Monday

Oh well it just wasn't their time, VCU fell short to Saint Louis in yesterday's A-10 basketball championship but they did very well especially since this was their first season in the A-10!  Onward and forward to the next game in the NCAA bracket in the Sothwest Division.  I'm really not a sports fan but I can't seem to help it since VCU has been doing so well the last few years!

Today I'm sharing a card that I made for a dear scappin' family member that has been going through a rough period.  I do hope the card cheers her up and that she knows I'm praying for brighter days for her and her family.  The stamped image was on one that I received as part of a RAK, I colored them with my spectrum markers and everything else came from my stash.

We are having some weird weather today, ice on the roadways, snow on some cars and lots of accidents this morning.  Have a great week!

GO VCU

Even though it's St. Patrick's Day today I'm showing RAM pride as VCU beat UMass yesterday and will play St. Louis today!  I'm just hoping that luck will be on VCU's side today when they play in the A-10 tournament championship!  They lost against them during the regular season I hope they will get revenge today.  It has been a great sports weekend for VCU, they have been causing HAVOC in New York for the last few days.  GO VCU!

Altered Frame

I finally did it, I've been wanting to to alter a frame for quite sometime, I think it came out pretty good for a first try.  This was really different and out of my comfort zone!  I didn't use paint or anything as it was a frame kit by Gallery J that was given to me sometime ago.  I didn't use anything that was included in the kit with the exception of the frame and the bookplate.  I used flowers that I received in a RAK,  border embellishment from Recollections and I cut the logo with my Cameo.   I still need to do something to the back but for now its done.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend!.

Stampin' Dymonz Scrap Shack Spring has Sprug Blog Hop

Spring is in and what better way to celebrate it than a spring blog hop!   Welcome to Stampin' Dymonz Scrap Shack Spring Blog Hop!

My card as shown  above is one that I started  last weekend as part of a challenge but then I decided to do something different for that challenge.  The sentiment on the card and the bunny head were both cut with the silhouette cameo and those files came from their online store.  I used paper from the DCWV year round paper stack and the rhinestones used for the eyes came from my stash.  There you have it another signature simple card!

Now won't you hop on over to the other participant's blogs as they showcase a variety of Spring cards.  Have fun hopping and don't forget to leave a comment!

Sachet Holder

Today I'm sharing a project that I started on Scraps of Color during FNC but didn't have the contents.  So today I'm sharing the final project with the sweet Rose Petals sachet included in my upcycled toilet paper holder!  I'm happy with the way it turned out as it will be sent to my swap partner on Stampin' Dymonz Scrap Shack, I hope she likes it along with the other goodies that will be included in the box.  The paper used to cover the roll was some that I received recently in a RAK, the dress form was cut from the French Manor cricut cartridge and everything else was from my stash, I didn' take a picture of the back as it has some metal embellishments.

Sweet

Hello Monday, I'm back today to share another LO that I completed for the FNC challenges over at Scraps of Color.  It was a spring themed LO using a provided sketch that was to include 2 soft colors, 3 flowers and twine.  I used my daughter's Spring school pictures and titled the LO Sweet because seeing these pictures reminded me of when she was much younger and wasn't going through the "tween era"  This LO was another labor of love as I struggled with how I wanted to showcase these pictures without using any school embellishments.  I used misc. paper, flowers from recollections, chipboard title from K&Co, diecuts cut with the cameo and the cricut, bling center for the flowers were from a RAK and misc. other items from my stash.  Have a great week and I'm looking forward to some milder temperatures and extended daylight.

Happy Easter

I had so much fun participating in Friday Night Chat(FNC) on Scraps of Color and I have something to share for my next few posts.  I almost forgot that I'll be participating in a blog hop on Friday so I need to think about what I'll share.  The Easter card that I'm sharing today was one of  the challenges; we were suppose to use mint or pale green, ribbon and glitter. I think I got the inspiration for this card from BHG crafts.  The little rabbit and egg cuts were made with my cameo and I used my cuttlebug to emboss the yellow blocks, the stamp is a studio G and the ribbon is from my stash.  I'm not sure the picture does the card justice!

Hello March

Its Monday, the 4th day of March and I'm starting to feel like this month is going to go by so fast.  Its so cold outside and we are bracing ourselves for the possibility of some snow; I'm so looking forward to Spring.  Its National Craft Month so of course there's lots to do in addition to alot going on.  I decided to retsore my laptop myself and that was an all day venture on Saturday, I'm not loading alot of stuff on it I hope to get another one soon since this one is old and seem to be having problems.  Today's card is one I created for someone that celebrated their 50th b-day on Friday, she likes lips and butterflies.  I can't remember which cricut cartridge that I used to cut the butterfly (shame on me), you can't see it in the picture but I did glimmer mist the butter fly.  Everything else used was from my stash, I received the bling as a RAK from a SOC member.  Take care and be careful out in the elements.
