Father's Day

Hello and happy Tuesday, more rain in the forecast for us today.  I'm back from a holiday weekend, I was so busy I didn't have time to craft or post.  Today I am sharing a card that I finished on Friday night and I'm really pleased with the outcome.  I cut the car using the CTMH Artfully Sent cricut cartridge (so happy that I used it within days of receiving it); two different embossing folders a stamp sentiment and a few embellishments and the card was done!  I'm sharing this card for the Anything Goes challenge #319 over at Die Cuttin' Divas, the Any Holiday challenge #302 over Hiding in my Craft Room and the Card Crazy Crafters Anything Goes challenge #2 over at Cardz TV.  Thank you so much for your visit and I hope you'll come back again soon.

Worlds Best Father

Hello and happy Friday, I think we just might get away with no rain today.   Today I am sharing my first Father's Day card for the year, I need to step it up a bit so I can get them done and mailed on time.   I am super excited because I made the card using the CTMH Artfully Sent cricut cartridge which was recently gifted to me by one of my scrappin' BFFs.  I am so thankful for the kindness and generosity of my friends.  The inspiration for wanting to make this card came after I watched a video from Joy over at Obsessed with Scrapbooking earlier this week.  I definitely need some more practice using this cartridge, The manual says you can cut the card at a size 7 but I couldn't so I cut it at 6.75.  I only have the Expression because I prefer  cutting directly from the cartridge.  I am sharing this card for the masculine challenge over at Hiding in my Craft Room.  Take care and enjoy your weekend.

Whatever Wednesday

Hello and welcome, it has been a while since I had a whatever Wednesday post!  More rain and cooler temps again today.  Today I am sharing a card that I put together using this week's sketch from Mojo Monday.  I created this card using  scraps of paper from my stash, the pattern paper came from the My Mind's Eye Happy Day 6x6 paper pad.  The stitched circle die  with the sentiment is another die from China, I added some party pink glimmer mist to the card base, added a few sequins and the card was done.  I am still shopping my stash, day 24 of no craft shopping.  Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a wonderful Wednesday.

Monday Musings

Hello and happy Monday, it is cloudy and rainy here.  I don't feel like working, I'd rather be in the bed with the covers pulled over my head!  My daughter left for her minimester this morning and of course we were late leaving  home because we were up late last night finishing up some last minute packing.  Today's card is one that I created using some of the unbranded dies ordered from China, they were gifted to me by one of my scrappin' BFFs that ordered duplicates.   I just cut the top layer with the die three times, stamped the sentiment and added some colored sticker dots, colored the card base under the cutouts  with TH distress inks and this card was done.   I'm sharing this card for the Cardz TV Mailbox Smiles Anything Goes Challenge #2.  Take care, I hope you'll come back again soon.

Friday Musings

Hello and happy Friday!  I'm still not feeling 100 percent but I think that it is a cold and not my allergies that are lingering now.  It is raining outside so I'm looking forward to getting off and going to bed.  Today I am sharing another Mother's Day card using more paper from my scrap stash.  The flower die is from Darice and the sentiment is from one of the Ditto sets that I picked up from HL a long time ago.  I'm sharing this card for challenges on the following sites:

Feathers

Hello Wednesday, I started this post yesterday but never finished it so I am sharing it today.  Another cool day, we were out late last night so I am not ready to get my day started. I need to finish up my Mother's Day cards so I can get them in the mail.  Today I am sharing a card using inspiration from skerch #97 from  Sketch N Scrap.   When I saw the challenge #263 to use feathers on your project over at Use Your Stuff I decided to use this sheet of paper from the Amy Tangerine  Sketchbook 6x6 paper pad, I cut the quill from the Heritage cricut cartridge, I used some of the Dollar Tree washi for the border, stamped a sentiment, added a few enamel dots and the card was done.  Thank you for your visit and I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!

Teacher Appreciation

Hello and happy Friday; it is currently raining outside.  My eyes are burning because I am still sleepy but I must get my day started.  Today I am sharing one of the teacher appreciation cards that I made for my daughter's teachers.  I made five but since I finished them at the last minute I didn't have time to take pictures.  I am happy  to report I am still on my spending ban so everything used has been in my stash for sometime!  This card  is for my daughter's History teacher, I used my Darice notebook paper embossing folder for the first time, the globe is a sticker, the sentiment is from the Beyond Birthdays cricut cartridge, and I  finished off this clean and simple card by added a few sequins.  Wishing you and yours a blessed weekend.
