CIU #281 - Hello Sunshine

 

Hello and happy Friday, welcome to the weekend.  I have been feeling a little under the weather so I haven't posted much this week; I feel like I'm falling apart!  Today's project share is a super simple but cute card created for the Cut it Up challenge blog.  The theme for challenge #281 is Hello Sunshine and because I couldn't find the die that I originally planned to use I had to re-think my project.  I used a sheet of paper from the Photoplay Summer Daydreams 6x6 paper pad, a Crafter' Companion window die, a Pink & Main die for the sun and a Sizzix die for the sunglasses.  Finished the card by adding a few enamel dots and a Hero Arts stamp set for the sentiment.

Hello and happy Saturday, still cloudy and overcast in our area today; we may get some showers later. Today I  sharing a card created using sketch inspiration from Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge #712, used more papers from the Heidi Swapp Old School paper pad.  I cut the butterfly using an older Spellbinder's die set, used a Hero Arts stamp set for the sentiment and finished the card by adding some Stampin' Up gems.  Not sure you can see it in the picture but I did add some spray walnut ink to the butterfly.  I am sharing this card for the June Anything Goes #143 over at Crafting Happiness Challenges.

Good morning rainy Thursday first full day of Summer.  Doing another drive by post to share a card that I created using more of my stash!  I used a Honey Bee Stamps Cover Plate to cut the word Happy to use as the focal sentiment.  Stamped the word birthday using a Paper Studio stamp, added a few sequins and this card was done!  I am sharing this card for the Shopping Our Stash challenge #499 Sentimentally Yours. I still have lots of unused items that I need to used so I can decide whether I should keep them!

Tuesday Musings

 

Hello and happy Tuesday evening, stopping in to do a quick card share.  I am not completely sure how I feel about this card but it’s done and will be going postal soon. I used sketch inspiration from Sketch N Scrap card sketch #243, papers from the Heidi Swapp Old School paper pad, a tag die, a Gina Marie flower die,  stamped sentiment and some Simple Stories enamel dots.

CIU #280 - Masculine

 

Hello Friday, welcome to the start of a holiday weekend for some.  No holiday for me as I am having surgery on Monday.  Today I am sharing my card created for the Cut it Up challenge blog.  The pattern piece of paper came from the DCWV Good Wood paper stack.  The card came together quickly as I used a sketch shared on facebook from MFT.  I used an unbranded stamp and die set for the t-shirt, added a few diamond dotz and the card was done.  I am still using things that have been in my stash for years; still have lots that I have yet to use!

Hello and happy Tuesday morning and Happy Birthday to one of my crafting BFFs!  I created her card using sketch inspiration from Atlantic Hearts challenge #529 and yes it is going to be late.  I had originally plan to attend a celebration for her this evening but as life would have it I can't.  The pattern paper came from the My Mind's Eye On the Bright Side 6x6 paper pad and all other papers came from my scrap stash.  I used a Sizzix die to cut the flowers, a KS Crafts stamp for the sentiment, added a few diamond dotz and this card was done!  I am also sharing this card for the flower challenge #486 over at Use Your Stuff.

Feel Better Soon

 Hello and happy Saturday, another day of gratitude because things could have been different.  I started this post yesterday but as life would have it I didn’t get the chance to share it.  I spent the day with my father at the hospital,  drove himself to the hospital on  Wednesday and he was well enough to be discharged yesterday.  I used sketch inspiration from the Stick it Down  monthly card sketch, some papers from a 6x6 paper pad that has been in my stash for a long time, the typewriter stamp is from a Jillibean Soup stamp set and the sentiment is a Newton's Nook stamp set.  Finished the card by adding a few random gems.  I am sharing this card over on IG for the 2Crafters1Design challenge, this week's challenge is a typewriter.

Wednesday Musings

Hello and happy sunny Wednesday with the possibility of some evening showers in our area.  Another day of gratitude but my heart is heavy due to another senseless act of gun violence in our city.  Today's project share is a male themed card created using sketch inspiration from Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge #710, pattern papers from the Love Nicole Time Machine 6x6 paper pad, a stamped sentiment, added a few Paper Studio gems and this card was done and will be going postal soon. I am also sharing this card for the Let's Hear it For the Boys challenge over at Shopping Our Stash #498.

Father’s Day Card

 Hello and happy cloudy Sunday, a new day and week; another day of gratitude. Today”s project is a card created using sketch inspiration from Atlantic Hearts sketch challenge #527 and papers from the My Mind’s Eye Hey Mister paper pad.  The metallic piece of paper came from a DCWV paper pad, I used a Sizzix die for the word happy and a Lawn Fawn stamp to complete the sentiment.  Added a few pearl embellishments and this card was done!

CIU #279 - Tag You're It

 Hello and happy Friday, the start of the weekend!  Tag you're it, create a tag is the the latest challenge over at Cut it Up.  For my design project I decided to create a male theme tag that I could use later on a card or a gift.  Everything that I used was either sitting on my desk or within arms reach so this project came together quickly.  I used a My Favorite Things dad die, some Paper Studio paper for the background, pulled the tools from my stash of die cuts waiting to be used and added a red eyelet since that was readily available.  I am sharing this project for the Anything Goes challenge  #485 over at Use Your Stuff.
