Happy Birthday Justin

Hello Sunday, today is my son's birthday so I am sharing one of the cards that I made for him!  I mailed them last week but probably not in time for him to receive them.  I hope he has an awesome day celebrating and we are looking forward to him coming home for a visit later this weekend because his little sister will be celebrating her birthday on Saturday.  I need to hurry and make her card too!  I used color pencils to color the stamp which is one of my favorites from V's Sweet Ideas.  The black and white pattern paper is from a 8x8 pad from The Paper Studio, all the papers used and the brads have been in my stash for ever.

Take care and have a great week, hope you'll come back soon!  I am going to spend some of my day finishing up my LOs for the month of January.

Friday Musings

Wow, welcome to the weekend, the kids go back to school today at their regular time and I am planning to go into work tomorrow morning.  I don't normally work weekends but sometimes my desk dictates that I go.  I am back today with another card made using the same paper pad, just one more project to complete and this paper pad with be history. I used scraps of paper  and a punch for the hectagons, placed them on a card base, popped a stamped sentiment and added a few sequins and the card was done!  I am sharing this card for challenge #208 over at  Use Your Stuff.  The week's challenge is Sequins or Glitter and their design team shared some great projects!

Take care, be safe and enjoy your weekend.

Wednesday Wanderings

Hello and happy Wednesday, we are still working our way through the blizzard.  I went back to work yesterday and the federal government opened back up today!  I'm not sure the kids will be going to school at all this week!  We are still waiting for someone, anyone to come plow our street but maybe the warmer temps will have to do.  I am back today to share another card that I made using the Echo Park This & That paper pad, I cut the polaroid die with my cameo and heat embossed the stamped sentiment.  I really like how the card came out and it will probably be going postal soon!

Monday Musings

I am back this snowy Monday to share another birthday card, I have been I the house almost around the clock since I got in Friday around noon.  I am so ready for this snow to be gone because I am sitting around eating myself today.  I have lots that I could be doing but all I have been doing is eating and sleeping.  Today I am sharing a birthday card that I put together using paper from the  Echo Park This & That 6x6 paper pad.    I cut the owl using the Create a Critter cricut cartridge, the oval with a Spellbinder die, stamped a sentiment and added some wood veneer stars and this card was done!  I have created several  other cards using this pad since being snowed in, I hope to finish using this pad within the next few days.  I am still hoping my LO mojo will return soon.  Take care, I hope you will visit again soon.

Happy Birthday Alexia

Happy Birthday Sister, despite the snow storm Jonas, I hope you have a wonderfully blessed day and awesome year!  I am sharing your card here because you won't receive it for another few days!

We are snowed in, the wind is blowing and I am not feeling well.  I was in the bed all afternoon once I got in yesterday and woke up last night and was up until about 2:30 this morning.  I haven't felt much like playing but I needed to finish the card that I am sharing today.  Today my youngest sister celebrates a birthday milestone, she is member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority so  that's why I chose red as the dominant color.  I created another shaker card using more paper for the Recollections With Love 6x6 paper pad along with sequins, ribbon, a few pearls, a stamped sentiment and a dress form
cut from the CTMH Artiste cricut cartridge.

Take care and enjoy your weekend.

Happy Birthday Chiquetta

Hello Friday, everybody in my house  is sleeping in except me, I am about to get dressed and head in to work.  I am going in early so I can leave once the snow starts!  Today I am sharing the birthday card that I made for one of the card angels, her  birthday is today and of course I didn't get it in the mail so that it would arrive on time!  I did another gate fold card using more paper from my scrap stash, ribbon for the band and a sticker for the inside greeting.   I hope Chiquetta has a wonderfully blessed birthday!  I did manage to get a fairly decent picture of the card open and closed.

Be safe, stay warm and enjoy your weekend!

Shaker Card

Hello and happy Thursday, it is so cold and we are bracing ourselves for a snow storm.  I still need to pick up a few items from the grocery store, I am not looking forward to the long lines this afternoon! Today I am sharing a Valentine's Day shaker card that I put together over the weekend, I have just a few more V-Day cards and then I'll be done.  My card is one of the non-bulky shaker cards, I used my fuse tool (which is always a nightmare), I can't seem to apply to correct amount of pressure  I used a Spellbinders die for the window cut out, added a die cut from the Wild Card cricut cartridge, a few gems and a stamped sentiment and the card was done!  I think the paper pad that I used came from the Recollections With Love 6x6 paper pad  Take care and I hope you'll stop by again soon.

Inspiration

Hello Wednesday, I'm back today with another card that went postal yesterday.  A member of the FB Card Angel group submitted a request for cards for  her brother that is going through a rough time with some health challenges so I made this card hoping to inspire him until he feels better.  I am also sharing this card for the Birthday Black Tie challenge over at Can You Case It?  They are celebrating their 3rd birthday so if you'd like some inspiration stop by their blog!  When putting this card together I just grabbed some scraps of paper from my stash, a stamp, bubble die and a few sequins and the card was done!  Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll stop by again soon.

Warmest Wishes

Hello Tuesday, I am back today to share another card that is going postal for the FB card group.  I am sending it as a get well card for another crafter that is not feeling well right now.  I just used some scraps of paper from my stash, a coffee cup die that another crafter made for me last year using her Tim Holtz die, stamped and heat embossed the sentiment.  Take care and have a Terrific Tuesday and try to stay warm!

Monday Musings

Hello and Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day!  It is cold and brisk outside today,  we had some snow flurries yesterday.  I am off work today and will be getting on the highway soon.  I am headed to another celebration of life for someone from my hometown, so I will get to see my sister and my parents.  Although I didn't have a lot planned for the weekend I didn't get a lot done either!  I hung out with my family on Saturday and I manage to do some craft shopping which is not good, when you go in the store for one thing and you just have to visit the sale and clearance sections.  I did do some crafting over the weekend  which included opening and using two different tools that have been sitting around for more than a year.  My cuttlebug was acting up so I opened my Sizzix Big Kick but I do plan on replacing my cuttlebug at some point; I prefer its size.  I also broke the seal open on my WeR Memory Keepers Gift Box punch board because my daughter wanted to know how it worked, (pictured) need a little more practice with it!  I did manage to finish several cards which I will share this week and I dusted off my selphy printer and printed some pictures so I am one step closer to working on some LOs.  Oh well that's enough sharing for today, I hope you will stop by again tomorrow!

Gate Fold Card

Hello Saturday, I have been trying to share this post all day but life and technical difficulties just kept getting in the way.  Today I am sharing a card that I put together after visiting one of my favorite blogs earlier this week.  There are many variations of this card and this is not the first time I made one.  But  my inspiration this week came from a favorite card shape post over at Lil Artsy Woman.  My card base is 5 1/2 x 8,  embossed side panel layer, stamped sentiment inside,  belly band created with card stock and another stamp.  I am sharing this card for challenge #234 - Embossing over at Hiding in my Craft Room.  I wanted to share  a picture of the inside but I had a hard time uploading it, oh well such is life!

Thank you for your visit and I hope you will return soon.

Happy Birthday

I am back today to share a birthday card that I created for the FB card angel group.  I struggle when it comes to making cards for men because I feel like the color selection is limited.  The sketch inspiration for this card came from sketch challenge #252 over at Try Stampin on Tuesday.  I used the Tim Holtz gear embossing folder, a gear stamp and sentiment stamp from my stash.  I am trying to create more and spend less but my list of items to be purchased is growing!  This is one of those cards that look better in person, not sure if it's the lighting or not but the picture doesn't look clear/sharp.

Thank you for your visit, wishing you a wonderful day.

Monday Musings

Hello Monday, the weekend went by way to fast; I guess it didn't help that my calendar was full so that didn't leave too much time for resting.  I'm back today after attending a wonderful life celebration for my daughter's girl scout troop leader on Saturday, so proud of how the girls head up.  We will surely miss her but her legacy of good works will live on.  Yesterday was my birthday so I am happy and grateful that I was able to see another birthday as I've already had to attend two life celebrations this year already.

Today I am sharing the last three cards made from the WeR Memory Makers baby mine paper pad, which means I have completed this month's challenge and now I need to start my LOs.  So long to that paper pad that had been in my stash for sometime, I think I hadn't used it because I was thinking I could only use it for baby projects!  I am sharing this post for this week's super scraps challenge#233 over at Hiding in my Craft Room.

Happy Birthday

I am back today to share a birthday card that I put together for one of my coworkers.  When I was about to leave work for the day on yesterday I decided to put this card together for her because we share the same birthday.  I keep a small stash of stuff in my office because sometime I am asked to make a card for someone.  Our birthday is tomorrow so I needed to leave the card in her mailbox before I left work for the weekend.  I am also sharing this for the tag challenge over at Use Your Stuff.  I cut the tag with the George cricut cartridge.

Take care and enjoy your weekend.

Baby Cards

Hello and happy Friday, I am back today with two more cards created using the baby mine paper pad, I have just two more cards and I will be done with the paper pad and the challenge.  I used paper from the WeR Memory Keepers baby mine 6x6 pad along with dies (onesie, rocking horse) cut with the SLICE, a punch, stamp and a few embellishments and the cards were done.  I am planning to work on at least one LO this week so I'm not too far behind in my LO challenge/goal.

Take care and have a wonderful weekend.

Hello

Happy Tuesday, its freezing cold outside but I know that we need it so won't complain.  I'm just trying to live my life being thankful and grateful for the blessings of grace and mercy.  I'm back today to share another card created using the same paper pad as yesterday.  Even though the pad is called Baby Mine you can use it for other projects as well.  I am just stamped a Hello sentiment, added a few punched butterflies and some Nicole flower blossoms.  This card will be going postal to someone within the next few days once I finish all of the projects from the pad for the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you'll visit again soon.

Happy New Year

The new year hasn't bought me any additional time to blog or play with my crafting goodies.  The year went out with a bang and I have been trying to catch my breathe so I can find some time to group and come up with a strategy.  I joined another FB group called Create More, Spend Less.  This month's challenges is to use one paper pack and complete multiple projects.  I used WeR Memory 6x6 Baby Mine for the card that I am sharing today and I will make several other cards using this same pad within the next day or two until all of the paper is gone!  I used my SLICE to cut the boat, added a few embellishments and the card was done.  When I finish using the stash I should have a few baby cards to add to my stash.
