National Hot Chocolate Day

Hello and happy Friday night, just getting back in from an emergency trip home to support my mother.  Today’s super cute card was created as part of a sketch challenge over on the Scraps of Color FB page.  When I saw the sketch this morning it was right after I saw that it was National Hot Chocolate Day so I decided to make this card in the early hours of the morning.  I  was super excited since I don’t drink coffee but love hot chocolate.  I used papers from the Pebbles Girl Squad 6x6 paper pad and a CTMH stamp for the sentiment.  I am sharing this card for challenge #107 at Cards TV.

Thank you for your visit, hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Happy Birthday

Hello and happy Thursday, more seasonal temps in today's forecast with peaks of sunshine.  Today's project share is a birthday card created for one of my scrappin' besties grandmother who will be celebrating her 90th birthday in March.  I used sketch inspiration from Sketch N Scrap  card sketch #162, papers and ephemera from the Jen Hadfield My Bright Life collection.  I'm thinking I might need to add some gems or enamel dots before I put it in the mail.  Embellishments are a part of my intentional items that I need to use on as many projects as possible.

Thank you for your visit, I hope you'll return soon!

Hello Friend

Hello and happy Wednesday, seasonal temps in today's forecast.  Today's card share is a friend card created using sketch inspiration from Mojo Monday #529.  The papers came from the Pink Paislee Bella Rouge  6x6 pad (only a few sheets left), the sentiment is from the  Cardz TV This 'n' That stamp set and the faux pearls are from Recollections.  I used a Sizzix die to cut the scallop square for the sentiment.  I had a hard time getting a good picture because of the colors and lighting.  I'm sharing this card for the Friendship challenge #390 over at Use Your Stuff and the Anything Goes challenge #106 over at Cardz TV.

Thank you for your visit and hope you'll return soon!

Monday Musings

Hello and happy Monday, cold and sunny in today's forecast.  As we mourn the loss of a sports icon, his daughter and seven other individuals we are reminded to never take anything for granted and live each day to its fullest.  Today's project share is a birthday card created for the Birthday Bash Card challenge over at Soul Scrappers.  I put this card together while I was at Saturday's crop and forgot to make note of which My Mind's Eye 6x6 paper pad I used.  The cake, candle, and sentiment all came from an older Sizzix stamp and die set.  I used some pearls from the Hobby Lobby wedding section that I picked up on clearance a few years ago.  I'm just trying to use up some items that have been sitting way too long!

Thank you for your visit and if you happen to see my friend Gloria wish her a happy birthday!

Something New

Hello and happy Sunday, mild weather day here in our area.  I went to a crop yesterday but I can’t say that I got too much done.  I did manage to finish this card using a napkin given to us by our host, this is something that was on my craft to do list and now I can say that it’s done!  After watching numerous videos I decided to use the quick and simple technique for applying the napkin to the card stock.  The napkin was so pretty that it was easy, I just gathered papers, dies and a stamp for the sentiment; made a few cuts and the card came together quickly.

Thank you for your visit, I hope you will return soon.

Happy Birthday Miss Gail

Hello and happy cold Tuesday!  We survived yesterday’s gun rally without incident.  Today's project share is a card that I made for a family friend, I put it in the mail on Saturday, I hope she receives it today.   The papers came from the My Mind's Eye A Happy Heart 6x6 paper pad, a Sizix die for the cake, Paper Studio stamp for the sentiment and a few enamel stars finished this birthday card.  I feel like I am doing okay with using intentional items from my stash but I have a long way to go and hope to become more organized so that I can use up the paper scraps quickly!  I'm sharing this for the Anything Goes challenge #106 over at Cards TV.

Thank you for visit, stay warm and hurry back soon!

Thinking of You

Happy cold Monday and Happy MLK Day; lots going on here in the capital city so I am limiting my movement.   I'm doing a quick drive by post to share a card that I created using sketch inspiration from this month's card sketch over at Stick it Down.  I created this card for one of my co-workers who recently suffered the loss of her brother, he had been sick, it is never easy losing a love one but hopefully they can find some comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering. I used more scraps of papers from several companies, a Crafter's Companion stamp & die set for the flower and a Hero Arts stamp for the sentiment.  I  have  alot going on but I still plan to work through these scraps of paper and finish off some paper pads.

Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a marvelous Monday.

Hello

Good morning, it is Sunday 1:00 AM and I just woke up from a long nap.  I went to a crop earlier and it was raining and I was cold so I decided to take a nap not thinking I wouldn’t wake up until now.  I was having a wired dream so I needed to get up.  So on with sharing my post of a card that I put together using sketch inspiration from Try Stampin’ on Tuesday #439.   I used more papers from one of my Ki Memories 6x6 paper pads, the Freshly Picked Cricut cartridge for the gnome, some Paper Studio gems and a Bo Bunny stamp for the sentiment.  I am sharing this card for challenge #411 - Gnome Sweet Gnome over at Shopping Our Stash.

Service with a Smile

Hello and happy Friday, seasonal temps in today's forecast.  I am back today to share my second completed LO for 2020.  The LO uses a picture taken of Baby Girl last summer while she was working at her first real job!  She started off as a counter, hostess but was reassigned while she away at school; she has mixed feelings about working for tips only! This whole LO contains most items from my list of intentional supplies, scrap paper, a brad and some metal embellishments. I cut the cake and cutting board using the From my Kitchen Cricut cartridge, cut the title using Designer Calendar, Create-a-Critter and Phrases cartridges.   I just need to add the journaling and this one will be ready for the book!  I am sharing this LO for the Anything Goes challenge #106 over at Cardz TV.

Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a wonderful weekend.

Just a Note

Good morning and happy Thursday, sunny and mild temps in today's forecast.  Today's project share is a card created using sketch inspiration from Atlantic Hearts #351.  This signature clean and simple card is one created using more intentional items from my stash to include paper from the Ki Memories Growing Garden 6x6 paper pad, some Gina Marie enamel dots and a stamp from a Sizzix stamp and die set.  I even inked the edges of the strips of paper  to add a little more detail.  This card is going postal today to someone who is currently recovering from pneumonia.

Thank You So Much

Hello and happy cloudy Tuesday afternoon, stopping in to do a quick drive by post.  I made this super simple, but cute card for a card challenge over at Soul Scrappers.  I used the swiss dots embossing folder, a CTMH stamp for the sentiment and a  diecut that has been sitting in my stash for a while.  I remember cutting some extras while working on another project.  The flower pot is a cut from the Walk in my Garden Cricut cartridge which is the intentional item from my stash used on this card; I added some wink of stellar to the tulips but you can't see it in the picture. This card will be going postal this week as part of my resolution not to hoard my cards.

Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll come back soon!

Christmas 2018

Hello and happy Wednesday, seasonal temps and cloudiness in our area today.   Today's project share is my first LO of the year and it uses pictures taken in December 2018!  I used pattern papers from the  Craftsmart Say Freeze paper pad, a snowman diecut from Cardz TV that came with a stamp set that I won, some Jolee snowflakes and gift box diecuts from the Create-a-Critter 2 Cricut cartridge.  In an effort to use up more of my stash I pulled out some Thickers for the title, I am going to be more intentional about using more of  my stash this year.  I wasn't going to put up a tree but my daughter wanted a snowman tree so I picked up that sad looking tree from the store and it is still sitting in the corner of the dining room!  I'm sharing this LO for the Mystery Bag Challenge #22 over at Soul Scrappers.

Thank you for your visit, hope you'll return soon; I will be sharing my design team project for the Cut it Up challenge blog on Friday!

Lost Post

Hello and happy first Monday, feeling a little under the weather today.   I've been trying to solve the mystery of what happened to my first Friday post; it looks like I wrote over it so here goes an abbreviated version.  I still have several holiday cards and LOs that I plan to do so stick with me while I try to finish them.  I created this card using paper scraps from a Simple Stories Kit from a few years ago.  I have way too many paper scraps and they just never seem to go away.  The foil strip is a Recollections piece and the enamel dots are from Teresa Collins (I think).  I shared this card on the Cardz TV challenge #105 and the Happy Holidays challenge #410 over at Shopping Our Stash.  Although the previous links are not good I decided not to re-post them!

Take care and have marvelous Monday

Thank you for your visit, I hope you will return soon.

Happy New Year

Hello and Happy 2020, cool temps and clear skies in today’s forecast.  I am doing a quick drive by post to share some cards that I put together this morning, if they look familiar they are the same style as the cards that I did last year but never mailed them.  I used the Cricut Days and Dates cartridge, some Recollections silver foil paper and a Paper Studio stamp for the sentiment.  I only sent out a few Christmas cards so I am hoping to get these cards in the mail within the next two days.  I'm sharing this post for the Bitten by the Bug 2 use a number challenge.

Thank you for your visit and I Hope you’ll return soon.
