Thursday Musings

Hello and happy thankful Thursday, my heart still aches from what happened in Washington yesterday. I will continue to lift our country and the people in prayer. It’s cold now bu the forecast calls for temps in the low 50s today.  Today’s card share is one that I created after watching another one of Natasha’s YT videos.  It is my interpretation of a floating element card, I used strips of paper from the My Mind's Eye Well Hello 6x6 paper pad, a. Spellbinders circle die and a Scrapping Cottage butterfly die, a stamped sentiment and a few gems finished this card, which is going postal today!  I am sharing this card for challenge #149 over at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends and challenge #54  January Anything Goes over at Love to Craft challenge blog.

Thank you for your visit, continue to stay safe and hurry back soon.

Special Day

Hello and happy November! The rain has finally stopped and the sun is out so my mood is a bit better.  Today’s project share is another birthday and created using sketch inspiration from Tuesday Morning Sketches #578, pattern paper from the Amy Tangerine Sunshine & Good Times 6x6 paper pad, Spellbinders dies, a Stampendous stamp for the sentiment and some Recollections gems.  I am sharing this card for the Anything Goes challenge #126 over at Cardz TV and Love to Craft anything challenge #52.

Thank you for your visit, stay safe and have a wonderful week.

Coloring

Hello and happy Thursday evening, I started this post this morning but as life would have it I am just finishing it.  Today I am sharing a card using a stamp that I purchased recently during the Unity Stamps anniversary sale.  I really like their stamps but I can only buy them when they are on sale!  I am also excited to share that I used markers to color the stamp too because I usually color with color pencils.  The pattern paper is from the Pebbles Girl Squad 6x6 paper pad, the sentiment is part of the doll stamp set and the  enamel dots are from CC Designs.  I am sharing this card for the Anything Goes challenge #120 over at Cardz TV and the Love to Craft #49 August challenge.

Thank you for your visit, stay safe and hurry back!

Sending Joy

Hello and  happy cloudy Tuesday afternoon.  I am doing a drive by post sharing one of the cards that I  created over the weekend.  The  paper came from the My Mind’s Eye Fancy That 6x6 paper pad, the stitched oval dies are from an unbranded set and the sentiment is from the Stampin Up Share Sunshine PDF download.  I am sharing this card for the Cardz TV Anything Goes challenge #115 and the  Love to Craft  challenge blog #46 - May Anything Goes.    I am working on more cards to be donated to a group that will be distributing them to first responders.

Thank you for your visit, hurry back soon.

About Yesterday

Hello and happy Monday, where does the time go?  I’m not sure what happened, maybe it was the time change.  I had my card done but never had the time to create yesterday’s post, it was International Women’s Day and my MIL’s birthday.  So I created this card for her using sketch inspiration from Sketch N Scrap card sketch #165, papers from the Graphic 45 Celebrate 6x6 paper pad, some twine, a CTMH stamp for the sentiment and a Crafter’s Companion die for the flower.  I am sharing this card for the March challenge over at Love to Craft challenge blog.

Thank you for your visit, wishing you a wonderful week of crafting and celebrating women.

Matching PJs

Hello and happy Wednesday; cloudy skies, seasonal temps and the possibility of flurries tomorrow.  Today's project share is another 8 1/2 x 11 LO created using a picture taken of my daughter and I on Christmas morning.  This is one of those projects where I really pulled out a bunch of miscellaneous items from my stash and loosely followed a Pagemaps sketch and put it together.  This is one of those projects that I just needed to finish because I had taken it to several crops and never worked on it.  I am going to another crop this weekend so I hoping to get more LOs done since cardmaking seems to have taken over.  I'm sharing this LO for the Anything Goes challenge #108 over at Cardz TV and #43 over at Love to Craft.

Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll return soon.  On Friday I will be sharing my latest design team project for the Cut it Up challenge blog.

Fall Chic

Hello and happy cold Saturday.  Happy Birthday to my dad who will never see this post!  Today we will be heading to JMU to continue celebrating our Baby Girl who has grown into a young woman but will forever be my Baby Girl!  Today I am sharing one of the LOs that I created for her 8 1/2 x 11 album.  I used pictures taken on Thanksgiving Day as she was headed out to dinner with one of her friends.   All the papers used with the exception of the base came from my scrap stash along with the miscellaneous embellishments and I cut the title using the Forever Young Cricut cartridge.  I am sharing this LO for the Anything Goes challenges over at Cards TV #107 and Love to Craft #43.

Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a wonderful and safe weekend,

Planner Disc Swap

Hello and happy cold and rainy Monday, I am doing a quick drive by post today.  I have way too many unfinished holiday projects so I am in a time crunch to at least get my cards in the mail within the next few days.  As mentioned in an earlier post I said I would share the planner disc that I sent in the holiday cards for a planner group swap.  The disc are for the Happy Planner and I just used permanent markers to write inspiring words on one side and the year on the other side.  They went postal last week and hopefully have made it to their destination. I'm sharing this project for the Anything Goes challenge #104 over at Cardz TV and challenge #41 over at Love to Craft challenge blog.

Thank you for your visit have a marvelous week.

Sending Big Hugs

Hello and happy Wednesday, more seasonal temps in today's forecast.  So much has been going on that I haven't even had time to process and or share but I'm just trying to be thankful and not complain.  Today's project share is a card that I created for one of my scrappin' besties that recently suffered an unexpected loss.  Although it is one of my signature clean and simple cards, I really like how it came out.  I used the Calm & Loving stamp set from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps, my stamp positioner and some dimensional adhesive before adding the layer to the card base.  I'm sure I'll be using this stamp set again soon as it has lots of sentiments.  I'm sharing this card for the November challenge over at the Love to Craft challenge blog.

Thank you for your visit and I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday and that you'll return soon.

Thankful

Hello and happy Tuesday, seasonal temps in today's forecast.  So how goes your sleeping did you remember to fall back over the weekend?  Since November is traditionally the month of Thanksgiving and gratitude I decided to create a gratitude wall at work as a moral booster!  We are doing a 30 days of gratitude where each day a staff member list something.   I created the banner, acorns and leaves using the Pretty Pennant, Artiste, Designer Calendar and the Create-a-Critter  Cricut cartridges.  The small leaves and sunflowers are leftover items from other projects.   I'm sharing this LO for the Fall Holiday - Anything Goes challenge over at Bitten by the Bug 2 and challenge #123 over at Love to Craft November challenge #40.

Thank you for your visit, hope you have a terrific Tuesday.

Thankful & Blessed

Hello and happy Monday, sunny skies and mild temps in today's forecast.  Today I am sharing another fall themed card using sketch inspiration from Mojo Monday 526, papers from my stash and a cut apart and pattern piece from the  Echo Park Fall in the Air kit. I inked card base edges, added a few Bo Bunny gems and this card was done!  I am currently in a Fall/Thanksgiving card mode so that is what I'll be sharing for the next few weeks with a few random LOs.  I'm sharing this card for the Love to Craft #39 October Anything Goes challenge.

Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll return soon.

Girls Rule

Hello and happy sunny Tuesday, mild temps in today's forecast after a cool morning.  Today's project share is a another LO completed for my daughter.  I think it looks better in person, hard to photograph the foil paper.  The pattern papers are from a Paper Studio Be Bold Be Bright paper pad, I cut the title using the Cricut George cartridge and the silhouettes and tag are files from the Silhouette online store. Although I don't care for the limited amount of space I think I'll be making mostly 8 1/2 x 11 LOs for Baby Girl while she's in college.  I'm sharing this LO for the Anything Goes challenge #100 over at Cardz TV and challenge #39 over at Love to Craft challenge blog.

Thanks for your visit, hope you have a terrific Tuesday!

Senior Prom

Hello and happy Wednesday, wow I'm on a roll sharing on my blog three days in a row!  Today's project share is a double LO created for Baby Girl's high school album.  I'm going to a crop on Saturday and I hope to get more pages done, I have a new deadline so let's hope I can meet it.  When I document a story it is more important that the pictures tell the story so I usually don't use a lot of embellishments.  For this LO I used the Formal Occasion  Cricut cartridge, Recollections and Paper Studio stickers, trim from the Target dollar spot,  and finally an actual admission ticket.  All of these pictures were taken before she actually went to the prom!  I'm sharing this LO for the September Anything Goes #125 over at Love to Scrap challenge blog.

Thank you for your visit, have a wonderful Wednesday!

Dorm Wall Decor

Hello and happy cool Monday morning, warmer temps in the forecast later in the afternoon.  Today I am sharing a project that I finished over the weekend for my daughter's dorm room.  I should have done this before she left but we had so much going on that I didn't have much time to create.  One of my friends posted about some adhesive that she picked up on clearance at HL so I decided I needed to take a trip to HL; I didn't get any adhesive at the first store but I did find some the next day at another HL.   I didn't leave the first store empty handed, I picked up almost all of the supplies that I needed to complete this project with the exception of the paint and the flowers!  I'm sharing this over at the Anything Goes Challenge #37 over at Love to Craft challenge blog and #96 over at Cardz TV.

Thank you for your visit and I hope you have a wonderful week.

Senior Thesis Presentation

Hello and happy Monday morning, more hot temps with a forecast for rain tomorrow.  I'm back today to share another completed LO for Baby Girl's high school album, she leaves for college on Sunday and of course the album won't be done!  My new goal is to have it done by family weekend in October.  This LO uses pictures taken the day she presented her senior thesis, I used misc. papers from my stash including pattern papers from the Heidi Grace Daydream paper pad, Recollections gems and some stickers. I cut the stars with the Spellbinders Nestabilities star die set and the title cut using the Formal Occasion Cricut cartridge.  I'm sharing this LO for the August Anything Goes  LTCCB #37 and Cardz TV #95.

Thank you for your visit, hope you have a wonderful week and that you'll stop by again soon.

Retirement Salute

Hello and happy Monday, I meant to share this project yesterday but as life would have I didn't get around to it.  Baby Girl hasn't been feeling well so I've had to be her nurse.  Today's project share is another LO that I recently completed for her high school album. I used pictures taken during the Richmond Public Schools retirement banquet where she was invited to salute the retirees.  I used leftover paper scraps from previous projects with the exception of the base,  Little Birdie handmade wreaths and some TPC Studio metal accents.  I even pulled out my Sizzix Sidekick and cut the lettering for the title.  I'm sharing this LO for the Anything Goes challenge #94 over at Cardz TV and challenge #36 over at Love to Scrap.

Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll return soon.

Shadow Box

Hello and happy Tuesday, another hot day here in our area.  I am doing a quick drive by post as I just haven't had time to share.  Sunday we had our daughter's trunk party so I had been really busy preparing for it, I hope to share more soon.  So today I am sharing the shadow box that we did for her graduation memorabilia, this is one of the few crafting projects that she actually helped me do!  This was something that she really wanted to do and I am happy that she was pleased when it was done!  It is heavy too so we need to decide whether we are going to hang it or display it!  I'm sharing this project for the Anything Goes challenge #93 over at Cardz TV and the July LTCCB #36.

Thank you for your visit, I hope you'll return soon.

Graduation Cap

Hello and happy cloudy Sunday, gearing up for a very busy week.  We are eight days away from Baby Girl's high school graduation.  Today's project share showcases how we altered her cap, happy this project is done because I need to move on!  I used a foil base, Recollections flowers, vinyl for the lettering and TH gears. We used the gears to symbolize her major which is engineering.  I'm sharing this project for the June Anything Goes challenge #35 over at the  Love to Craft challenge blog.

Thank you for your visits, hurry back!

Tea Time

Hello and happy Thursday, sunny skies in our area after a rain storm yesterday.  Today's project share is a coffee/tea themed Mother's Day card created using sketch inspiration from the May sketch challenge #419 over at Die Cuttin' Divas.  I used papers from the Shimelle True Stories 6x6 paper pad, dies to cut the square and circle and the A Child's Year Cricut cartridge for the cup; finished the card by adding a few C.C. Designs enamel dots.   I am sharing this card for the May Anything Goes  challenge #34 over at Love to Craft. and the Spring/Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop over at Coffee Loving Cardmakers where you'll find lots of great inspiration!
