Heartfelt Sympathy

 Hello Thursday, almost the weekend; another fair weather day so I'll be taking a walk during lunch.  I'm doing a quick drive by post to share another sympathy card that will be going out in today's mail.  I created this card after watching one of  May May's YT videos where she had a series on sympathy card creations during one of her stamp releases.  I don't have any of her stamps but I do subscribe to her channel and share on her FB group when I create something inspired by one of her creations.  For my card I used a Crafter's Companion embossing folder and flower die both items purchased from TM a while ago.  The stamp is from Close to my Heart and the pearl in the center of the flower is from Recollections. I'm sharing this card for the Anything Goes challenge #125 over at Cardz TV.

Celebrate

Hello and happy New Year's Eve, mild temps and rain in our area.  Today I am sharing a card that can easily be mass produced to share with family and friends.  Inspiration to create this card came after I watched Tracy's video, she is one of the designers on May May Made It blog.  On this card I used glittered card stock for the year but on my other cards I used some Making Memories Slice metallic paper, I cut the year using the Days and Dates Cricut cartridge, a Pink & Main Stitched Rectangle die for the layer and a stamped sentiment. I'm sharing this card for challenge #91 over at Always Fun Challenges.  I almost made my daily posting challenge for December only missed three days!

Wednesday Wanderings

Hello and happy Wednesday, sunny skies today after lots of rain yesterday.  I am glad the mid-terms are over as I was getting tired of the political ads, texts and speeches!  Today I am sharing a quick drive by post of some post it note holders that I created using inspiration from a video shared by Maymay on YT a few weeks ago; this is not a new project but just one that she did from one of her viewer's suggestions!  I used 110 lb card stock for the base, misc. pattern papers and some CTMH stamps for the sentiments.  The typewriter die is from Sizzix, the stitched squares were cut using unbranded dies, added a few flowers as embellishments and this project was done!

Super Quick Treat Holder

Hello and happy Monday, I am doing a quick post; I meant to post this yesterday but as life would have it I didn't get to share.  The sun is shining and the forecast calls for temps in the lower 80s.  It looks like fall has taken over my blog  I was watching one of  MayMay's  older YT videos and decided to make this super quick treat holder, I did make some size adjustments to accommodate the treat that I was using.  The leaf pattern paper was some scraps from last year's Fall projects and I think I picked it up in HL so it is probably Paper Studio.  I cut the leaf using a Darice die, stamped a sentiment, used some ribbon and twine and this project was done!  I will probably make a different variation of this for my co-workers.  I'm sharing this super simple project for the Fall colors challenge # over at Die Cuttin' Divas and challenge #372 - Freestyle over at Hiding in my Craft Room.

Thursday Musings

Hello and happy Thursday, a little sun peeking out today with more  rain in the forecast tomorrow.  I am doing another driveby post as I need to get moving, so much to do and so little time.  Today I am sharing another one of my Christmas in July challenge projects, this card was inspired by a design team project shared over at May May Made It.  I used more papers from the My Mind's Eye Christmas Wish 6x6 paper pad, the WeR Memoey Keepers nesting dies party banners, some enamel stars and little wooden trees from AC.  I am sharing this for the Christmas in July challenge #379 over at Die Cuttin' Divas.  Thank you for your visit, hope you will return soon!

Happy Fall Yall

Happy Thursday and happy Fall officially in a few hours!  I meant to share yesterday but just didn't get to it, I am coming up on a very busy month so I am having to devote more time to those things. I will be sharing those events on my blog so stay tuned!   Today I am happy to share a project that my daughter helped me complete and she has proudly displayed it on our front door!    It is a scarecrow wreath that was another Maymay Made It inspired project.   I had some stuff in my stash and I purchased the remaining items from Wal-Mart, Dollar Tree and ACMoore.  Our original version used a pipe cleaner for the mouth but I didn't like it so I just decided to draw one with a permanent marker. Curtain Fold Christmas Card

Hello and happy Saturday, here it is almost 4:00 in the morning and I am wide awake.  This is crazy the one morning I can sleep in I am awake so I decided to blog!  Today I am sharing a card that may get tossed as it is one that I have mixed feelings about the end result.  I think it is the colors that I used, anyway the inspiration for this card came from another Maymay video tutorial and it is my last Christmas in July card for this year.  I am sharing this card for challenge #260 over at Hiding in my Craft Room.   I have to get back to using my stash because recently I have been adding to my stash which is not good.  Take care and enjoy your weekend.

Wednesday Musings

Wow, where does the time go?  As usual I can't seem to catch up I haven't done a LO in forever!  Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday, we are cleaning up after a really bad storm yesterday.  I am not sure if the weather service said it was a tornado but it was hailing, raining, and the wind blowing very hard lots of damage and power outages.  Thankful that we only lost power for a few hours.  Today I am sharing a mini holiday recipe album that I made as part of a handmade gift for a RAK swap over at Scraps of Color.  I hope the recipient is able to use it as it was a true labor of love, even though it might not look that way.  I am happy to report that I used my Cinch for the first time, it has been sitting in the box forever, it is one of the first releases!  I used chipboard for the covers,  paper from an American Crafts 6x6 paper pad, stickers and Spellbinders dies.  The tutorial instructions came from another video shared by Maymay.  Take care and enjoy your day.

Spirelli Wreath Card

Hello and happy Monday, I have been trying to share on my blog since last week.  So much has been going on, so grateful to still be standing and my heart continues to ache.  Today I am sharing a card that was inspired by a video tutorial shared by Maymay, I was trying to share the video but for some reason I couldn't find the share button!  If you'd like all you need to do is go youtube and search Maymay Made it!  It started off being a little challenging but you just have to take your time, I used baker's twine, ribbon, embossing folder and a stamp for the sentiment.  I really like how this came out so I just might be doing it again!

Male Cards

Hello and happy Thursday, another warm day with no rain!  I am back today to share one of the cards that I created after watching a Guy Card Collaboration video hop, if you'd like to follow along this is where it starts with  Maymay Made It and it includes a total of 26 crafters sharing male inspired cards.  The series started on Monday but I'm running a little behind since I had to search through my stash for a replacement item for one of the punches that I didn't have.  I had to improvise since I didn't own a word window punch.  I like how the card came together, the inside says "to a dad who can fix anything."  I used the Father's Day stamp set from Hero Arts and the Father's Day cricut cartridge for the tool box cut along with the envelope punch board a Sizzix TH die for the top opening.

Easy Paper Purse

Hello and happy Sunday, I am back today with another driveby post.  I really meant to post yesterday but as life would have it I never got around to it!  I was busy running errands and getting ready for an evening out so today I am tired!  Today's project is one of the paper purses that are a buzz among crafters.  I used the simple one sheet method shared by Maymay from Maymay Made It, although there are many variations and even svg  files.  I used more paper from the Katy Davis Happiness paper pad along with some gems, a punch and magnets for the closure.  I wanted to use it for a gift bag for a party that my daughter  attended yesterday but she said you never use the first one, I think she didn't care for the paper!

Curtain Fold Card

Hello and happy rainy Tuesday!  I am back today to share another card that I created after watching another video from MayMay Made It, although I am pleased with the outcome I think I still need some more practice on this type of card or rather the folds.  Can you believe how much I am stepping out of my comfort zone with these cards lately!  I am happy about that part but disappointed and sad that I haven't had time to work on LOs which really is my first love.  The paper that I used came from a K&Co Specialty pad  that has been in my stash for a long time.  I even used one of my Sizzix label dies for the first and some brads that don't get alot of use!
