Tuesday Musings

 

Hello and happy Tuesday afternoon, it seems it has been forever since I shared on my blog, just way too much going on right now.  Today I am doing a quick drive by post to share some super simple 3x3 cards that I created to include with some RAKs that I had to send out recently.  I just used some miscellaneous paper, dies and stamps from my stash.  This is another good way to use up scraps of paper as I have lost of scraps of paper too.  I have been doing very good not making any purchases, as I have way too much stuff; I am trying to organize my stash and will be donating lots of stuff too.

Hello Thursday, another beautiful weather day here in our area; didn't get to walk this morning so that means I'll have to make an effort to get it done after class this evening.  Today's card share uses sketch inspiration from Mojo Monday #560.  The pattern paper is from Paper Studio, I cut the sentiment using the Beyond Birthdays cartridge and caps using the Graduation cricut cartridge. This is another version of a previously created card, using my stash as I'm not buying any new craft related items; only adhesive and mats as necessary.  I am sharing this card for the Anything Goes challenge over at the The Sisterhood of Crafters.

Farewell

 

Hello and happy Tuesday, just dropping by to do a quick drive by post as I need to get ready for class.  Today's card share is a card that I created for one of my co-workers whose last day will be Friday; she will be moving to Florida.  

The card size is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, I used the Cricut Life's a Beach cartridge to cut all the embellishments, cut the sentiment with my Silhouette Cameo and stamped the flip flops. The base sheet of paper is from the Recollections Sunset Breeze 12x12 paper pad.  i am sharing this card for the Shopping Our Stash Tropical Delights challenge #448 and the Anything Goes challenge #143 over at Cardz TV.

CIU #228 - 4th of July

 

Hello and happy Friday more seasonal temps in today’s forecast. Today’s card is my latest design team project for the Cut it Up  challenge blog. The theme is 4th of July and the challenge sponsor is The ScrapRoom.

When putting my card together I used sketch inspiration from challenge #511 over at Try Stampin on Tuesday.  The pattern papers are from the Pebbles Americana 6x6 paper pad, used some Recollections foil paper, a Tim Holtz die set and a  Cardz TV stamp for the sentiment. The rhinestone star embellishments are from Love Nicole, I am really starting to miss AC Moore.

 Hello Tuesday, more seasonal temps in today's forecast.  I'm doing a quick drive by post to share a get well card created using sketch inspiration from Atlantic Hearts sketch challenge #425 and misc. papers from my stash.  This card is going to a young person recovering from a recent surgery, she likes unicorns and her favorite colors are purple and orange.  I used a Jane Davenport die for the unicorn,  a Love Nicole stamp for the sentiment and some Jolee's enamel dots.  I have way too much stuff so I am only purchasing adhesive as needed.

Saturday Musings

Hello Saturday evening, it has been  cool and gloomy all day. I'm stopping in to do a quick drive by post as I have lots that I need to do.  Today's card share is a birthday card created as part of a sketch challenge for one of my FB groups, I used pattern papers from two different My Mind's Eye 6x6 paper pad, an unbranded die that I ordered online and a few Queen & Co pearls.  I'm sharing this card for the Just Us Girls challenge #588 - no stamping.  Another card done and ready to go postal, I am going to spend some time this evening getting some cards ready for Monday's mail.

Big Wishes

 Hello Thursday, lots of rain yesterday evening with a forecast for more today.  I didn’t get a chance to walk yesterday so I am getting ready to go before I get ready for work.  I have a long day today with work and class so I am getting it done this morning.

I started this card a few days ago for a FB challenge but as life would have it I didn't finish it until this morning.  I used papers from a Ki Memories 6x6 paper pad, a border birthday die (first time using it), some ribbon and a few sequins.  The next time I use the die, I will probably make a shaker card.  I am sharing this card for the June birthday challenge over at Die Cut Divas.

Thinking of You

 

Hello Tuesday, another very warm weather day in the forecast.  I walked to the polling place this morning and it was so humid but I pressed on to finish my morning walk after voting.  I have a long day today so that meant walking before work.

Today's card share is one that uses sketch inspiration from Sketch N Scrap #195, paper from a Ki Memories 6x6 paper pad and a Gina Marie flower die.  I used a Hero Arts stamp for the sentiment.  This clean and  simple, cute card is ready to go postal within the next few days.  I am also sharing it for the Anything Goes challenge #142 over at Cardz TV.

Cousins

 Hello Monday, sunny skies with a forecast of possible thunderstorms later this evening.  Today I am sharing another LO created for my daughter's album, I used a picture of her and her cousins taken on the day we had the celebration of life service for my mother-in-law last December.  This loss has really hit the nucleus of the family and it is taking a toll on the children and my daughter.  When putting this LO together  I used one of the Pagemaps sketches for inspiration, some Tim Holtz Idea-Ology paper, a Bo Bunny stamp for the faux stitching, Thickers for the title and some misc. embellishments from my stash.

CIU #227 - Shaped or Fun Fold Card

 

Hello Friday, today’s project share is my latest design team project for the Cut it Up challenge blog.  The theme for challenge #227 is to create a shaped or fun fold card and the sponsor is The Cutting Cafe.

This card was indeed a struggle as I have too much going on and I didn’t plan appropriately.  I used the mason jar card file and stem from our sponsor, mostly scraps of paper,  some acetate and a sunflower stamp and die.  I have mixed feeling about the outcome so I'm not sure what I'll do with the card or if I will redo it!  I am also sharing this card for the Anything Goes challenge # 142 over at Cardz TV.

Wednesday Wanderings

 Hello and happy Wednesday, I'm stopping in to do a quick drive by post as life would have it I'm off my posting game!  I recently got accepted into a certification program which means I am trying to juggle, family, home, work, social and now school life.  Today's project share is another 81/2 x 11 LO created for Baby Girl's album, I used sketch inspiration from a Scrappy Telephone challenge hosted on one of the FB groups where I am a design team member.  I used papers from the Recollections Sunset Breeze 12x12 paper pad  and the embellishments are from Simple Stories.  I used a picture of us during the holiday season wearing out matching pajamas.
