Cut it Up #153 - Christmas in July

Hello ad happy Friday, it's the weekend and my family and I are headed to North Carolina for a family reunion.  Prayers for traveling mercies and good weather so we will be able to enjoy some outside activities too.

Today I am sharing my design team project for our Christmas in July challenge over at Cut it Up and our sponsor is My Scrap Chick.   I used the cup of tea cut file from our sponsor and some very old double sided paper that I received as a contest winner many years ago.  I think it may be from a Cosmo Cricket, I cut the snowflake with some shimmery paper which is hard to see in the picture!  I cut the file with my Silhouette cameo,  inked the edges lightly, assembled it, added a gem and a teabag and this project was done.  I hope this little project inspires you to head over to the Cut it Up challenge blog to see what the other designers shared and that you will decide to participate in our Christmas in July challenge for a chance to win some goodies from My Scrap Chick!  The challenge starts today and end on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at noon EST.

Thank you for your visit, I hope you'll return again soon.  Wishing you and yours a wonderful weekend!

Remember the Season

Hello and happy Tuesday, more rain in the forecast for the next few days.  I am doing a quick drive by post as there's much to be done on the inside!  Today's project share is another card for my Christmas in July challenge, I finished on Saturday while I was at a crop and since I hadn't packed all that I needed I pulled something from my unfinished pile to work on.  It was mostly done just needed to add a focal point and sentiment.  The background sheet is from the Love Nicole time machine 6x6 pad and I used some glitter paper for the snow mound.  I used three Recollections flowers that I picked up on clearance I think two years ago and the sentiment came from a Simple Stories ephemera pack.  I'm sharing this card for the Anything Goes challenge #57 over at Cardz TV and Christmas in July challenge #362 over at Hiding in my Craft Room.  Thanks you for your visit and I hope you have a terrific Tuesday.

Hello, it's the weekend and I'm doing a drive by post, lots to do and there just never seems to be enough time.  Today's card share is one where I used sketch inspiration from challenge #141 from Fab Friday, paper from the My Mind's Eye Lime Twist 6x6 paper pad, a Spellbinders die, and a Love Nicole die for the sentiment; added a few K&Co. gems and this card was done!  I really have mixed feelings about this card due to a few minor imperfections but I had to move on.  So I'm sharing this card for the Anything Goes challenge #66 over at Always Fun Challenges and #56 over at Cardz TV.  Thank you for your visit, take care and come again soon.

Cut it Up #152 - Under the Sea

Hello and happy Friday, it's the weekend what's on your calendar?  I have several things on my schedule for Saturday, just need to figure out how I can fit everything in!

Today I'm sharing my design team project for the the Under the Sea challenge over at Cut it Up and our sponsor for this challenge is The Cutting Cafe.  I must say this challenge took me a little out of my comfort zone but I think I weathered it okay.  The fish and sentiment are files from The Cutting Cafe, colored the fish using a Art-C waterbrush that I picked up from HL on clearance,  fuzzy cut them and added them to the card with some dimensional tape. The remaining elements of the card came from  the Animal Antics Cricut cartridge.

I hope you'll visit the Cut it Up challenge blog, see what the other design team members created and share your own Under the Sea project for an opportunity to win some crafty goodness from The Cutting Cafe.  The challenge starts today and ends at noon (EST) on Wednesday, July 25, 2018.

Thank you for your visit, hope you'll come back again soon.  Wishing you and yours a wonderful weekend.

Daddy's Love

Hello and happy Tuesday, another hot day here in the Commonwealth.  I love this super simple LO because the attention is drawn to the photos without a lot of what I call competing embellishments!  I used some sketch  inspiration from Organized and Creative Mom, I really like her sketches.  I even used some handmade papers that has been in my stash for a long time; I picked them up from Costco. The title was cut using my SLICE machine, which is still one of my favorites.  I'm sharing this LO for the Anything Goes challenge #55 over at Cardz TV and #24 over at Love to Craft.  Thank you for your visit and I hope you have a terrific day.

Christmas in July

Hello and happy Friday, I've started this challenge again this year but of course I'm way behind!  Today I am sharing my second Christmas card for this season, I still need to post the first one.  I created this card using sketch inspiration from this month's sketch over at  Die Cuttin Divas.  I really liked this sketch and my card came together quickly once I selected more paper from my scrap stash. I think it looks better in person.  I cut the penguin using the Create a Critter 2 Cricut cartridge and the four little black jellies are from Queen & Co.   I am sharing this card for the Anything Goes Challenge #55 over at  Cardz TV.  Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a wonderful weekend.

She's That Girl

Hello and happy Tuesday, it is going to be another really hot day outside so that means staying inside until I leave for the day. It won't be much cooler when I leave either but it is suppose to be a few degrees cooler today than yesterday!

Today's project share is a LO that I worked on while I was at the crop on Saturday, for some reason I can't ever really complete a project while I'm at the crop always need to add something else when I get home.  When putting this LO, I really just used mostly scraps of paper, the two pattern pieces came from the DCWV Homeroom Stack., tag was leftover from another project and the wooden veneers are from American Crafts.  I cut the title using the Graphically Speaking Cricut cartridge and the car is from the Locker Talk cartridge.

I sharing this LO for the Freestyle challenge #359 over at Hiding in my Craft Room and the Anything Goes challenge #111 over at Love to Scrap.

Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll come back again soon.
