Happy New Year

Hello and happy Wednesday, we are preparing to say good-by 2020 and hello 2021!  Today's card share is a New Years card that I created using some inspiration from Instagram over at @CraftyDares.  The dare was to complete a project using black and gold, Happy New Year and 2021, I accepted the dare using some Recollections 110 lb paper for the base and some DCWV glitzy gold card stock, along with a firework cut from the Stand and Salute Cricut cartridge, used my SLICE machine to cut the sentiment and the CTMH Artiste Cricut cartridge for the numbers.  I added some foam adhesive after cutting the firework die, I will need to do that before cutting it the next time!  I am sharing this card for challenge #195 - New Years over at Always Fun Challenges.  This card is done and has gone postal!

Monday Musings

Hello and happy Monday, I started this post yesterday and realized I never posted so here goes! I am not really in the holiday mood but life goes on and there are things to be done. The rain yesterday made for laziness and more procrastination so that meansI will be extra busy for the next few days in addition to working. Today’s card share uses sketch inspiration from Try Stampin on Tuesday sketch #486.  This signature simple card show cases papers and stickers from the Doodlebug Design Santa Express 6x6 paper pad.  I love hot chocolate so I couldn’t let those stickers go to the donate pile as I am almost done with the paper pad so I might not make another card using it! Although I didn’t add a sentiment to the front I added  a few gems for some sparkly!  I am making one last trip to the post office today hoping that my last few cards will get to their destination by Christmas Eve!  I will need to make a few New Years and thank you cards this week.

Thank you for your visit, continue to be safe and enjoy your holiday.

CIU #215 - Tic Tag Toe

Hello and happy Friday, let the weekend begin!  Today's project share is my latest design team project for the Cut it Up Challenge blog, the sponsor for challenge #215 is DRS Designs.  We were charged with creating a tag using the following  Tic Tag Toe  board for inspiration:

This is one of those projects that I struggled with because I was finding it hard to bring the picture in my head to the paper. Early on I had selected the star wreath stamp from our sponsor, not sure but for some reason I like wreaths.  I just colored the digital stamp with my color pencil, inked the tag background with a stencil, I used the Joys of the Season cartridge for the bells and the Winter Woodland cartridge for the word Joy which I cut 6 times for some added dimension.; finished it off by adding some red ribbon! I'm sharing this tag for the Bitten by the Bug 2 Die-lirious Holiday Season challenge and The Sisterhood of Crafters Anything Goes Christmas/Winter.

Now that you've seen my tag, I hope you will head on over to the Cut it Up challenge blog for more design team inspiration, create and share your project that includes a tag, a die and elements from the tic-tag-toe board for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate from DRS Designs. The challenge starts today and ends, Wednesday, December 23 at noon EST.

Thank you for your visit, stay safe and have a wonderful weekend.

Happy Birthday

Hello and happy Tuesday, dry and seasonal temps in the forecast for today.  My sleeping is all off track so what do you do when you are awake and can’t go back to sleep at 4 AM.  I decided to get up, do a few chores and have some play time.  I am going back to work today and I have a zoom meeting a few hours after work so I will be ready for bed afterwards.

Today’s card share uses sketch inspiration from Atlantic Hearts sketch #398, papers from the Amy Tangerine Sunshine and Good Times 6x6 paper pad, the Sizzix Triplits dies set for the banner, some ribbon for the bow, some Bo Bunny candy dots (hard to see in the pic) and the Lawn Fawn Happy Happy Happy stamp set for the sentiment. I have mixed feelings about this card, it does look better in person so postal it will go!

Thank you for your visit, stay safe and hurry back.

Monday Musings

Hello Monday, snow flurries in the early morning forecast here but I am about to get dressed for my daily walk! I have been trying to find the energy to post but as life would have it I just couldn’t.

I wanted to briefly share what has been going on.  A few weeks ago my dear MIL suffered a stroke, was released to rehab about a week later, suffered a heart attack within days of being there. She gained her wings on Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving.  Today her immediate family will gather to celebrate her life and lay her to rest next to the love of her life.  My heart is heavy but I am happy for the relationship we shared.

Today’s card share is one that I created this morning using sketch inspiration from Sketch N Scrap card sketch #183, papers from the Simple Stories  Classic Christmas 6x6 paper pad, circle punches, unbranded stitched circle dies, enamel dots and the Cardz TV Stamps  Big Holiday Wishes stamp set for the sentiment. I am sharing this card for the Cardz TV Anything Goes challenge #129.

Thank you for your visit and continue to stay safe.

Hello December

Hello Wednesday and welcome December!  Today's drive by post is a picture of some of the items that I will be using for a month long project.  I have decided to do a December Daily for this year, which is a tall  order for someone that can't handle crafting deadlines; I'm trying it again after I didn't follow through last year!  The kit the I'm using is a Bella Blvd,  free standing mini album that I picked up from Tuesday morning I think in October.  I am on the hunt for some page sleeves because the ones that came with the kit won't be enough and that may be game changer if I can't replace them.  My strategy is to take pictures and notes daily and then work on the actual project every few days, I know that I won't follow through trying to do it everyday; some days it may just be journaling depending on how I'm feeling.  I hope to have something to share by the weekend.

Thank you for your visit, stay safe and hurry back.

Hello, happy Monday, rain and wind in today’s  forecast!  I'm doing an afternoon quick driveby post to share something that I have been working on recently.  I am participating in a tag swap for one of my FB groups, first time and of course I was stressed, it has gone postal and marked delivered but the recipient hasn’t acknowledged receipt.  I used the a Recollections Christmas  Plaids Paper pad to cover the front of the tags, black card stock for the back and lots of different dies, stamps, rub-ons, stickers and ribbon!

Thank you for your visit, I hope you will return soon.

Christmas Magic

Hello Monday, mild weather temps in today’s forecast. I haven’t share but my family could really use some prayers and positive thoughts.  We are grateful and don’t take God’s grace and mercy for granted but sometimes the bumps in the road takes an emotional toll.  Today’s card share is another holiday card created using sketch inspiration from CAS(e) #399, pattern  papers from the America Crafts Jolly 6x6 paper pad and a Hampton Arts (Cam &Choke) stamp that I picked up last Christmas so this is another intentional use item. Another card done and will be going postal soon as my goal is to have the majority of my holiday cards in the mail  by December 1!

Good afternoon, I am back with another quick post to share another holiday card.   In honor of world kindness day I am sharing a Christmas Joy shaker card! I used sketch inspiration from Tuesday Morning Sketches #580, wood grain paper from Paper Studio, a die set from Tutti Designs.  I looked on their website and notice this particular die set is no longer available, I've had it for several years, it was gifted to me from one of my scrappin' besties! The glittered stars were cut with a Sizzix die and the  shaker mix is from Tuesday Morning.  The weather is overcast so I had a hard time getting a good picture but I do like the card, I might try to take another picture if the sun comes out.

Thank you for your visit, have a safe and wonderful weekend.

Sponsor Thank You

Hello and welcome to the weekend.  Today over at the Cut it Up challenge blog we are showcasing thank you cards that the design team members created for our challenge sponsors.  I created and mailed cards to Taylored Expressions and Your Next Stamp.

The inspiration for the card created for Taylored Expressions came from a YT video, I used their brick wall stencil along with a die and stamp set from my stash.  I really like how this card came out, I just might make another one using a different sentiment.

Happy Voting Day

Hello cool Fall day with a forecast for warmer temps later.  Today's project share is my second project created for a seven day joy crafting challenge hosted by LadyKre on the YT.  It is a frameless shaker card created after watching another one of Natasha's YT videos.  I like how this card came together after agonizing overnight about it and will surely be making another one soon!  The snowflake pattern piece of paper is from Recollections from a few years ago, the shaker bits are from a mix that I picked up in TM. I used my SLICE machine to cut the letters for the word happy and stamped holidays for the sentiment, used some transparency film since I couldn't put my hands any acetate.  I should be done with my holiday cards soon, I need to work on some tags for a swap so that will be my weekend project!

Thank you for your visit, take care and stay safe if you have to go out to vote today.  I went out this morning, it wasn't too bad I was done in less than an hour!

Heartfelt Sympathy

Hello Thursday, almost the weekend; another fair weather day so I'll be taking a walk during lunch.  I'm doing a quick drive by post to share another sympathy card that will be going out in today's mail.  I created this card after watching one of  May May's YT videos where she had a series on sympathy card creations during one of her stamp releases.  I don't have any of her stamps but I do subscribe to her channel and share on her FB group when I create something inspired by one of her creations.  For my card I used a Crafter's Companion embossing folder and flower die both items purchased from TM a while ago.  The stamp is from Close to my Heart and the pearl in the center of the flower is from Recollections. I'm sharing this card for the Anything Goes challenge #125 over at Cardz TV.

Hello and happy Wednesday, another nice weather day; I have been taking mid-day walks during my lunch hour for the last two days!  Today's project share is a card that I created over the weekend as I was doing some world card making day challenges.  I created this super cute birthday card using a navy card base, some pattern papers from Paper Studio, an unbranded balloon die, some ribbon and a Love Nicole sentiment and label die.  I like how the card came out and I am not sure the picture does it justice!  I am sharing this card for the Anything Goes challenge #143 over at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends and challenge #124 over at Cardz TV.

Thank you for your visit, I hope you'll return soon!

Get Well Soon

Hello and happy start to a new week!  Today I am doing a quick drive by post to share a card that I created for one of my besties that recently had a surgical procedure.  I used sketch inspiration from sketch #388 over at Atlantic Hearts,  pattern papers from the My Mind’s Eye Stella & Rose 6x6 paper pad, a Crafter’s Companion die, a few Hero Arts gems and stamp for the sentiment.  I added  some Wink of Stella to the flowers but you can’t see it very well in the picture.  This card is going postal tomorrow. I am also sharing it for the Anything Goes challenge #124 over at Cardz TV.

Thank you for your visit, continue to be safe.

CIU #210 - World Card Making Day

Hello Friday, welcome to the weekend.  Today’s project share is my latest design team project for the Cut it Up challenge blog, the theme is World Card Making Day and the sponsor is The Cutting Cafe.

I decided to create birthday cards using sentiments from our sponsor which includes  inside and outside greeting sentiments.  I used inspiration from sketch #574 over at Tuesday Morning Sketches for my cards.  The papers from a Pebbles Birthday Wishes paper pack, some unbranded stitched circle dies and some Paper Studio flowers.  Two more cards ready to go postal as needed!

I hope you will visit the Cut it Up challenge blog for more inspiration and decide to create and share your World Card Making Day project for a chance to win 3 digital files from The Cutting Cafe. The challenge starts today and ends Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at noon EST.

Thank you for your visit, stay safe and enjoy your weekend.

Season's Greetings

Hello Tuesday, drizzling in our area this morning with a forecast for heavier rain later today.  Today's drive by post is another holiday card created using sketch inspiration from Mojo Monday sketch #546.  I used papers from the Doodlebug Santa Express paper pad and a Sizzix die for the sentiment and this card was done!  I couldn't decide whether I wanted to add anything else but as you can see my normal clean and simple won!

Thank you for your visit, continue to be safe and enjoy your day.

Fall Memory Dex

Hello and happy Wednesday and first full day of Fall, I meant to post yesterday but as life would have it I didn't get a chance.  Today I am doing a quick drive by post sharing a MemoryDex card that I created for one of the challenges during  a recent zoom meet up.  I created the card by stenciling the background with some distress inks, added some Fall themed emphera and coffee cup that I cut using the Sizzx Spring Icons die set that I picked up on clearance from HL recently.  This will be going postal this weekend along with some other just because mail!  I am sharing this project for the anything but a card challenge over at Sisterhood of Crafters.

Thank you for your visit, continue to be safe and hurry back!
