Hello Friday

I am so happy that today is Friday because this has been a long week and I've been going non-stop. As the school year winds down and we start to gear up for the summer we just seem to be busier. I still have a few things I'd like to share from the cruise but I need to get the pictures together before I post them. Today I'm sharing a LO of my daugher showing off her poster when she was Student of the Week. We will be on the road bright and early tomorrow for an Aikido seminar so there will be more pictures to scrap! We visited our last school today so we'll spend some time making a middle school selection this week too.

Cricut Love

Today I'm sharing a picture of my daughter and her new love! On the last day of the cruise during the farewell celebration I won this one of a kind cricut plushie. I didn't have anyway to get it home but PC sent him to me, when we got home yesterday he was waiting! She was so excited and of course she had to make room on her bed for him. She got up this morning taking pictures so she could share them at school today.

Hello Monday

I am about to wind down my cruise posts as I have some other projects that I must finish soon. DH would like to share his accident album so I must get it done along with concentrating on staying current with DD's school album. We will be gearing up for the end of the school year ceremonies including her transitioning from elementary to middle school (which literally has me in tears). So today I'm sharing a page from the smash book that I'm doing for the cruise. I will be posting more smash book pages as I finish them on Scraps of Color. Thank you for stopping by and sharing with me.

Apron

One of the projects that we completed while we were on the cruise was this apron. All of the cuts on the apron are fabric that was cut using the cricut and we just ironed them on the apron, the large flower at the top is actually a pin that can easily be removed and added to another project! We used little sparkly embellishments for the bubbles! I can't wait until I go to another scrappin' event so I can wear it!

Hello Friday

Where does the time go, I really meant to post yesterday but never got around to it! Anyway I hope you are have a grand day and that you have lots of weekend fun planned. My calendar is full as usual but I'm just to the point where I just have to pick and choose what I'm going to do because I can't do everything! We had two formal nights on the cruise, so today I'm sharing a picture of Sharon and I as we are getting ready for dinner on our first formal night. As you all know formal means almost anything; they didn't have anyone policing the dining room because we didn't wear gowns and tuxedos!

Cayman Island (Lunch)

I'm trying to change up the posts a little but I'm not sure its working so bear with me as I continue to share! While were at the Cayman Islands we had lunch at what I affectionately call "a hole in the wall." It was called Corita's Copper Kettle and it was housed on the bottom level of the building as there was another eatery upstairs. The food was good, I had ox tails, cole slaw (I was use to having cabbage) and redbeans and rice. I'm not sure why I didn't take a picture of my lunch that day but I'm sharing a picture of the restaurant.

Cayman Island

On Wednesday we went to the Cayman Islands and I tell you I wasn't prepared for the venture we had to take to get there. I surprised myself that I even got on it after I looked at the little transfer boat that would be tendering us to the island. So today I'm sharing a picture of me sitting on the little transfer boat (scared to death), it could hold up to 200 people so I guess it wasn't too little but compared to the ship it was tiny! Alice, the answer to your inquiry as to whether I felt the ships' movement is yes and no. I was fine most of the trip and didn't have any motion sickness even when I stepped out onto the balcony. But for some reason on Saturday, the last day we were at sea I started to feel sick and had to have something for motion sickness!

Mariner's Beauty

We cruised on the beautiful Mariner of the Seas, we stayed on the 6th level. Today I'm sharing a photo taken from the 6th level peeking down on the 5th level which was a main hub of the ship. It was a beautiful ship with staff members that provided excellent customer service.

Hello Monday

I don't know where the time went yesterday but I never found the time to post but I did spend alot of time with family! Everyone is always raving about the food while you're cruising so alot of my pictures were indeed of my meals. Today I'm sharing pictures of my lunch meal while I was in Jamaica. It wasn't anything special just some jerk chicken and cornbread that we got a from a "street vendor", the pineapple slushi was purchased from another cart. Wishing everyone a Magnificent Monday!

Cruise LO

Its Saturday and there's lots to be done but I wanted to stop in and share this LO. This is a two page LO that we created while on the cruise, I'm not sure what pictures I'll add but I wanted to share it now rather than later. We had overview classes for the the Imagine, the E2, the Mini and the Craftroom. I have mixed feelings about what I learned mostly because I don't have an Imagine or E2 and I'm not sure about the Mini or the the Craftroom. I'd rather not be tied to the internet to print so the use of the Mini and the Crafroom may be something I tackle later. Have a good weekend and check back later for more cruise sharing!

Hello Friday

I am totally needing another vacation, I can't seem to get it together. I'm glad its Friday but the week went by way too fast and I feel like haven't done anything! Today I'm sharing two more pictures from the cruise, the first one is a picture of the sun rising one morning last week. We got up and out onto the balcony and took pictures. Isn't it beautiful, I think those are some of my best pictures. The second picture is of a journal that we covered as one of our "make and takes." I think most of the cuts were done for us we just basically put it together. The frame was cut from some leather-like material and the rosettes and quilling done with the cuttlebug. It also has two pockets on the inside covers. I think that covers everything, stay tuned for more cruise memories later.

Cruisin'

My post and what I'm sharing on my blog is in random order as my journaling was generic and there was always lots to do. We boarded the ship on Sunday around noon and since our rooms weren't ready we went to the Windjammer (buffet style) and had lunch. When the rooms became available we just hung out and unpacked once our bags were delivered until we all had to participate in the emergency safety drill and the sail away party. Dinner and a provocraft reception where it was announced that we'd all given trial circle memberships. Monday we had class and durig our nightly crops we did "make and takes." Today I'm sharing the "make and take" frame that I created and a picture of Sharon and I in Mexico next day. I will put the frame and the picture in my cruise smash book that I'm creating. I'll be sharing pages from my Smash Book on the Scraps of Color Smash Book Event Challenge.

Sail Away Party

Today I'm sharing pictures of us during the sail away party on the cruise ship. We sailed out of Galveston, Texas on the Mariner of the Seas. We purchased the shirts and had them embroideried with "Sistas Scrap Too" with our cricut messageboard name and cruise 2012. Stay tuned tomorrow and I will share some of the projects we made. If you'd like to see additional cruise pictures and a more detailed commentary you should visit Cruising with the Cricut.

Hello Monday

I'm back from the cruise and I have lots of pictures to share! It was a fun and relaxing experience! I wanted to give a special shoutout to Sharon, one of my best scrappin' buddies for choosing me to go along with her on the cruise! I also wanted to say thank you to Provocraft for sponsoring the contest and showing us a grand time and showering us with such great products. I had so much fun that when I got dressed this morning I thought I was still on vacation! I'll be back tomorrow to share!
