CIU #231 - Create Your Own Background

Hello Friday, welcome to the weekend.  Today’s card share is my latest design team project t for the Cut it Up  challenge blog.  The theme for challenge #231 is Create Your Own Background  and the sponsor is CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.

This signature clean and simple card was created using TH distress oxide inks. I used salty ocean, spiced marmalade and cracked pistachio to create the background and the  Calm & Loving stamp set is one of my favorites from our challenge sponsor.  You can’t see it in the picture but the  top layer was added  using foam adhesive.

Please stop by the  Cut it Up challenge blog for more design team inspiration, create and share your project for a chance to win a $20 gift code from the challenge sponsor. The challenge starts today and ends Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at noon EST.

Thank you for your visit, take care and have a wonderful weekend.

Thanks

Hello Tuesday, another warm day with a slight chance of afternoon showers in the forecast.  We really had a downpour yesterday with some flooding in certain areas.  Today's card share uses sketch inspiration from Try Stampin' on Tuesday challenge #516.  I used  misc. scraps of paper, a Rubbernecker Stamps flower die that was recently gifted to me, a CTMH stamp and some gems.  This card is going postal to the person that blessed me with the die and some other scrapping goodies!

Thank you for your visit, hope you are staying well and that you'll return soon.  I will be sharing my latest design team project for the Cut it Up challenge blog on Friday.

Happy 98th

Hello Sunday, seasonal temps in today’s forecast.  Doing a quick drive by post to share a card created for a request on one of my FB groups.   The recipient is a WWII marine veteran and they are hoping that he receives 98 cards.  I used sketch inspiration from sketch  #430 over at Atlantic Hearts Sketch..  The pattern papers came from the Uniformed Collection 6x6 paper pad (really old) , a Sizzix star die set and a Woodware sentiment stamp.  Another card done and going postal tomorrow!

Thank you for your visit, take care and be careful.

Bee Happy

Hello Friday and let the weekend begin.  Today's card share was created using sketch inspiration from Sketch N Scrap card sketch #198 and pattern papers from the American Crafts Ready Set Go 6x6 paper pad.  I used the Create-a-Critter Cricut cartridge to cut the bee, freehand cut the tag and used a Hampton Art stamp for the sentiment.  Added a few Bo Bunny gems and this card was done!  I am sharing it for the The Paper Players challenge #550.

Thank you for your visit, I hope you will return soon; stay safe and have a wonderful weekend!

Dance

Hello Thursday, still a lot going on but I have been trying to get some play time in!  I am up trying to get as much done as possible before going in to work.  Today's dance card was created for a 4 yo that was recently discharged from the hospital, she likes ballet and unicorns.  I used sketch inspiration from Tuesday Morning Sketches  #615 and papers from the Take Note 6x6  Doodlebug paper pad,  I cut the ballet shoes using the Create-a-Friend Cricut cartridge and added a few more embellishments that have been in my stash for a while.  This card will be going postal today!

Thank you for your visit, I hope you will return soon. Take. care and continue to be safe.

Live More Worry Less

Hello Sunday, doing a quick drive by post before I go out for a walk.  Today’s card share uses sketch inspiration from Tuesday Morning Sketches  #614,  papers from the My Mind’s Eye A Happy Heart 6x6 paper pad, a Sizzix die and a flower that has been sitting on my work space desk for a long time.  I used a Project Life card for the sentiment, I just might have to keep this card as a reminder for myself.  The struggle is real trying to use my stash and not buy anything, I really don’t need anything!  I did have to buy adhesive and a replacement blade for one of my trimmers.

Thank you for your visit, I hope you will return soon. Take care and continue to be safe.

Hello Summer

Hello and happy Thursday, hot and humid in our area today.  Where have I been, what have I been doing and why haven't I posted on my blog.  As I've said before life happens and sometimes you just can't juggle all of the balls which means things just aren't in synch.  Today I am sharing a quick project that I put together since we are approaching mid month and I need to be working on July's memory dex card.  It is another super simple project but it is at least providing a little distraction for me.  I am happy to report that I will finish the in class portion of my certification this week which should give me back some of my playtime!  I'm sharing this for the Anything Goes challenge #144 over at Cardz TV.

Thank you for your visit, I hope you'll return soon.  Take care and be safe.

You're Sweet

Wow, it’s Thursday and I have been trying to share this post since Tuesday, all I can say is that life happens. I am doing a quick drive by post as I am trying to get into the office a little earlier today. Today’s card share is one created  using sketch inspiration from Atlantic Hearts sketch #428.  The watermelon pattern paper is from the Amy Tangerine Sunshine and Good Times 6x6 paper pad, the sentiment is a Ms Sparkle & Co. stamp, added a few black gems and this card was done.

Thank you for your visit, hope you'll return soon.

Birthday Greetings

Hello and happy Saturday afternoon and holiday weekend.  I have had very little play time lately, way too much going on and I am feeling a little overwhelmed.  Today I am sharing a card that I put together using sketch inspiration from Fab Friday #217, a piece of DCWV Mulberry paper, pattern papers from the My Mind’s Eye Life of the Party 6x6 paper pad, a Mama Elephant stamp and die set  and a little enamel dot for the bunny nose. I liked how this card came together and I was able to use up a few pieces of scrap paper too.  I am sharing this card for the Anything Goes challenge #144 over at Cardz TV.

Thank you for your visit, have a safe and happy holiday!
