Roles Reversed

Hello and happy Friday, nice temps and lots to do as usual.  Today I'm sharing another page from my FIl's journey album.  I used some Amy Tangerine Thickers for the title,  misc.papers and embellishments from my stash.  I used the Going Places cricut cartridge for the family diecut.  I'm sad that Provocraft has decided to discontinue the actual cartridges since that is the only way that I use my cricut machines.  I don't want to have to be connected to the internet all the time, guess I will be using my Silhouette more!  Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll come back again soon.

Celebrate

Hello and happy Tuesday, more nice temps today in the forecast.  Today I am sharing a birthday card that will be going postal for one of the members of the FB Card Angel Group.  So happy that I took a little time last night to put this card together using a sketch from an online crop being hosted on FB.  I used animal print paper from American Crafts, a Spellbinder label die, a TH die for the sentiment and a few enamel dots to embellish the card.  I am sharing this card for the Old and New Challenge #281 over at Use Your Stuff.  The old items include the enamel dots and dies, the new item is the papers that I picked up in TM over the summer.  Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll come back again soon.

Monday Musings

Hello Monday, I am doing another drive by post as I haven't been able to play much.  The weekend was spent with my in-laws and their extended family but today I am sharing a picture of my sister and daughter taken after my FIL's service on Saturday, so glad her schedule allowed her to be there with us. Baby got so much attention because she decided to wear that hat, her relatives started calling her queen, so glad she was able to smile and laugh because this journey has been hard on her.   I can't wait until my schedule allows me some time to create as I have some really nice pictures to scrap!  Take care and enjoy the last few days of summer temps!

Thursday Musings

Hello and happy Thursday, one week ago at 5:10 PM my beloved FIL received his wings.  Now you know the emotional journey that our family has been on, he was in hospice/palliative care for 66 days.  He made it to his 79th birthday, our hearts are sad but we rejoice in the fact that he is in a better place now.  Today I am sharing another LO from the journey album that I am working on, I used the finger prints of my FIL, DH and our daughter.  Everything used has been in my stash for a while (with the exception of the prints).  I cut the heart  with my SLICE and the tree is a Darice die.  I have been a little under the weather, busy with arrangements and family so I haven't had a lot of time to play.  Take care and hug your love ones and tell them that you love them.

Composition Books

Hello and happy Wednesday, feeling a little down this week so I haven't felt up to speed.  I'm back today to share two more composition books that I did for my daughter.  I'm still trying to figure out why it was a requirement for them to be covered.  I used more paper from the DCWV Homeroom Stack, stickers from my stash and I used my expression and my cameo for the diecuts.  So proud of baby girl as she continues to sharpen her leadership skills, this is a critical year for her and I'm hoping for amazing things!  Take care and make it a great day.

Happy Birthday

It's Monday and today is my FIL's 79th birthday!  He is currently in hopsice, our family will be going to the hospital for a small celebration this afternoon.  I have a meeting so I won't be able to go with them but I made this banner to hang in his room so I will be going to hang it at lunch time.  I used the Pretty Pennants cricut cartridge for the base, punched the circle and cut the letters with the Cuttin' Up cartridge.  Take care and have a wonderful week.

Just Because

Hello and happy Sunday, I hope that all is well with you and yours as our neighbors near and far are dealing with different natural disasters.  I'm back today to share a card that I put together using sketch inspiration from challenge #228 over at Atlantic Hearts and more papers from the Pebbles Garden Party pad.  The flowers were the last two in the package that I think may have come from Paper House and I used a CTMH stamp for the sentiment.  I am sharing this card for the Super Scraps Challenge #317 over at Hiding in my Craft Room and the Anything Goes Challenge #11 over at  Cardz TV. Take care and be safe.

Endless Love

Hello and happy Friday, I have been up since a little after 3 AM so it's going to be a long day.  I got up went downstairs and covered another composition book for my daughter, did some laundry and finished the LO that I'm sharing today.  It is another LO documenting my FIL's journey, last Saturday when I went to visit him my MIL was giving him his on personal concert, it was so beautiful, I hated to interrupt her so I was only able to snap this one picture.  I used paper from the Craft Smith Harvest Boutique paper pad, misc embellishments from my stash, music notes cut with my Slice and the wonky circle with my Silhouette.  Take care and have a wonderful weekend.

Wednesday Wanderings

Hello and happy Wednesday, the holiday has really thrown me off my game.  We had cool temps this morning and they are calling for rain this afternoon but sunshine and warm temps for the weekend!  I'm back today to share one of my drive by posts as I feel like my poor blog is being neglected.  I did manage to finish two 8x8 LOs for my MIL's  calendar but I didn't take pictures; maybe I will take pictures the next time I am over her house.  Today's quick project share is an altered composition book that my daughter asked me to do for her last night.  I used papers from the DCWV Homeroom Stack and  the Authentique Curiosity 12x12 pad.   I used one of my unbranded dies to cut the stitched square and used it as the label.  She has already warned me that she'll need more, she starts off by saying she is going to help but never does.  I'm sharing this project for the No Layouts or Cards challenge #278 over at Use Your Stuff.  Take care and have a wonderful Wednesday.

Saturday Musings

Hello and happy Saturday, another busy week not a lot of time to play or share on my blog.  It's raining outside so I plan on being inside most of the day playing!  Today I am sharing a card that I just finished that was inspired by sketch #50 over at Paper Play Sketches.  I used pattern paper from the Pebbles  Garden Party paper pad, the Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge for the swirl border, stamped sentiment and some Echo Park enamel dots.  This card will be going postal for the FB card angel group. I am also sharing this card for the Anything Goes Challenge #10 over at Cardz TV.  Thank you for your visit, enjoy your holiday weekend.
