Thank You Card

Today I'm sharing another simple card that I made to send to someone that recently invited our family to dinner. I am also submitting this card for the May BINGO challenge listed over at Mema's Crafts. When I originallly saw the challenge my plan was to do what is called a coverall in bingo but such as time and life would have it I couldn't fit in. So I used the color blue, flowers and dry embossing which is the bottom row of her posted bingo card.

Hello Monday

Happy Memorial Day! Today I'm sharing another LO that I completed using a sketch from the Anytime, Anywhere Scrapbook Experience challenge being hosted by Tiare over at iClassygirl. Even though I'm not caught up on this challenge I feel like I'm making good strides. For this LO I used pictures of our daughter as she was presented a trophy for placing 8th in the Fire Safety Student of the Year Program for the city's 5th graders. We were so surprised and honored that she was recognized for her efforts and placed, her school also won School of the Year! I'm working on another LO using more pictures from this event.

Seminar Group

Today I'm sharing the second LO using pictures from the Aikido training seminar where our daughter was a participant. The sketch used was from the Sketch Inspiration site. I didn't include a title because it is placed in the book as part of the other LO using pictures during the seminar. One picture was suppose to be serious and the other picture of them goofing off. My daughter didn't change her expression from one picture to the other. Some of the kids were cut out because they move so fast when the seminar is over its hard for all the parents are trying to take picture! I cut (2) stars from the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge and the other one from the Wall Decor & More Cartridge.

Happy Birthday "G"

Happy Friday and Happy 21st birthday to "G."  Today I'm sharing a simple gift card holder that I made for Garrett.  I'm celebrating not only his birthday but him because he is growing up to be a fine young man!  I got the inspiration for the card from a magazine, nothing fancy just some paper that I had in my stash, stamps, stickles and a magnet  for the card closure.  Thanks for stopping by, have a blessed weekend.

Hello Tuesday

Hello Tuesday, my work week has started off with a bang so I'm sneakin' to do this quick post. I had a very busy weekend which included alot of time in the car;  I'm so looking forward to Friday because we have a little weekend venture planned so there will be more pictures to scrap in the future.

I am happy to report that as of 5:00 am this morning I am finally finished with DH's accident album and he was so pleased and can't wait to share it!  Today I'm sharing a LO that I finished last week using a sketch posted on Platinum Scraps.  I hope that you can see it since I was in a rush this morning and just snapped the picture with my cell phone.  Its includes a picture of our daughter with two of her cousins when they were visiting the area recently.

Hello Friday

My daughter is growing up way too fast, she went to the salon recently and decided she didn't want braids.  So today I'm sharing a picture of her after the stylist was finished, where's my baby!

TGIF as the work week is about to end but as usual my weekend schedule is jam packed too.  When I leave work today I'm going to treat myself to a mani and pedi so my hands and feet can look good for Mother's Day!  I'll spend most of tonight trying to finish up Mother's Day cards and doing some housework.  Tomorrow I'll be heading home to attend my uncle's funeral and I'll  spend time visting family and friends.  I'll be going to church with my mother on Sunday!

Happy Mother's Day!

Hello Monday

Its Monday, the start of another busy and hectic week. I wasn't able to get any scrappin' done over the weekend so no new project to share. I didn't even make Teacher Appreciation cards, so I just sent DD out with Starbuck gift cards in hand this morning.

My cousin got married on Saturday so we had a good time hanging out with relatives and it was a blessing to be able to celebrate a happy event. So today I'm sharing a picture of my sister, my daughter, my cousin (who lost her mother in February) and her daughter. I was especially happy that my cousin and her family came since the last time we had seen each other was for her mother's funeral.

Wishing everyone a blessed day!

Cruise Group Picture

Hello Thursday, its cloudy and cool outside right now but its suppose to get up into the 90s later! Today I'm sharing a group picture of us on the cruise. I think we are all pictured as I know I missed one of the formal night pictures taken by the ship's photographer. This picture was taken by PC staff and distributed to those of us that cruised. I'm further up in the staircase so I'm not as visible and and I was looking "crazy" anyway, I hate being photographed! Wishing everyone a blessed day.

Daughter in Action

I'm back to share a picture I took of our daughter at a recent aikido seminar. She has been taking aikido for a number of years now. She trains at River City Aikido but sometimes we travel to other dojos for additional training. On Saturday we went to Aikido of Arlington where they were hosting the 2012 Virgnia Tai Sai Seminar lead by Patricia Henricks Sensei from California. Afterwards we went to DC to see the MLK monument so look for LOs with those pictures soon!

Hello Wednesday

Spring is in the air, its cloudy and breezy here this morning. I am thankful for another day despite trials, tribulations and obstacles. I haven't posted in a few days becuase I've got so much going on, I have been trying to work on some projects though; I'm not sure what I'll share yet. I did want to revisit my cruise for a bit as I never shared with you the gifts that we all received from Provocraft. In addition to the all expense paid cruise, we were given a quarterly membership to the "Cricut Cicle", a cartridge (Ole), 1000 rewards points, a $25 credit to our cricut.com account and we each will be receiving a mini. Additionally we had other opportunites throughout the week to win more! They even gave away the last gold expression, all in all we had a very good week of learning and fun. I'm so happy that I was afforded such an awesome opportunity. Thanks PC and Sharon! Wishing everyone a happy day!
