Happy Birthday Mom

Hello Monday, today is my mom’s 80th Birthday and Columbus Day! We are planning a small family breakfast celebration.   Today I am sharing one of the cards that I made for her, this card uses the Sizzix Happy Birthday Impresslits , one of the items from my stash that I finally used for the first time.  The pattern paper is from the Recollections Rainbow Inks 6x6 paper pad which was gifted to me from another crafter; the foil paper  and shaker bits are from Recollections too..  I used another Sizzix die set to cut the numbers and added a few score lines which you can’t see in the picture, the use of foil and the foil in the paper didn’t allow for a lot of additional embellishments.  I think the card is pretty in person just didn’t photograph well!  I am sharing this shaker card for the October Anything Goes challenge over at Die Ciut Divas and challenge #151 over at Cardz TV.

Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a wonderful week.

Happy Friday and hello weekend.  Today's project share is my card created for the Cut it Up challenge blog challenge #234.  The challenge theme is Fall is in the Air and the sponsor is Hetty Clare, she is offering two digital files from her Esty shop.

For my card I used sketch inspiration from Atlantic Hearts sketch #437, the sponsor's flower cup digital image and colored it with some alcohol markers.  If you know me I struggle with any type of coloring but I still try and I was surprised that I liked how it came out!  Once the image was colored I used a Cutter Bee Square die to cut it out and added it to the pattern paper which is from the DCWV Autumn Stroll  6x6 mat stack.  The sentiment was stamped using two different stamp sets, added some Bo Bunny gems, used  some foam adhesive to add it to the card and finished the card by adding some glimmer mist.

Now that you've seen my project I hope you will visit the Cut it Up challenge blog for more inspiration, create and share your Fall project.  The challenge starts today and ends Wednesday, September 22 at noon EST.

Thank your for your visit, wishing you and yours a wonderful weekend.

JOY

Hello Thursday evening more like night since I almost ready for bed.  Doing a quick drive by post to share a card that I created earlier this week.  I used sketch inspiration from one of the Mojo Monday sketches, the snowflake paper is from the Doodlebug Design Santa Express 6x6 paper pad.  I used a Spellbinders die for the circle frame and the snowflake, finished the card by adding some bling. I used an unbranded alphabet die set to cur the sentiment.  I am sharing this card for the Cute and Simple challenge over at the Sisterhood of Crafters.

Thank you for your visit, I hope you will visit again soon.  Take care.

Happy Birthday

Hello Friday and happy holiday weekend!  I have been missing in action, as I've said before sometimes life happens and it prevents me from sharing.  I'm doing a quick drive by post to share a birthday card that I  created for my nephew.  I used papers from the My Mind's Eye All Spice 6x6 paper pad, an unbranded die for the stitched circles, some wood veneer stars and a stamp for the sentiment.  I'm sharing this card for challenge #556 over at  The Paper Players.  It is a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge and I used the middle row across (birthday, die-cut/punch, masculine).

Thank you for your visit, take care and be safe as you enjoy the weekend.  I hope you will return soon.

CIU #233 - Favorite Sketch

Hello Friday and welcome to the weekend.  Today's project share is my latest design team submission for the Cut it Up challenge blog.  The theme for challenge #233 is favorite sketch, I chose to do a layout since I am really behind; I love the sketches over at Sketch N Scrap so I am using their layout sketch #27.  The challenge sponsor is STAMPlorations and she is offering a $20 gift certificate, they have some great crafting supplies.

For my layout I used pictures that I took recently during one of my self care walks, for over a year now I have tried to walk at least 30 minutes per day.  When putting my layout together I used pattern papers from the WE R Memory Keepers 12x12 Jet Set paper pad, cut a walking silhouette with my SLICE machine,  cut the clouds with a Tonic die,  and added some stickers from the Simple Stories I AM collection.  The Hang in There sitting on the clouds was cut using a die from our challenge sponsor and the alphabet  lettering used for the main title has been in my stash for many years.  I am sharing this LO for challenge #92 - Taking Care of You over at Challenge YOURself.

Now that you have seen my project I hope you will visit the Cut it Up challenge blog for more inspiration. Create and share your project using a sketch for a chance to win a gift certificate from  STAMPlorations, don’t forget to use a die on your project. The challenge starts today and ends Wednesday, September 8  at noon EST.

Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a wonderful weekend.

Wednesday Musings

Hello and happy Wednesday, more seasonal temps in our area and a forecast for some rain in the next few days.  Today's card share is one created using sketch inspiration from Atlantic Hearts challenge #435 and mostly scrap papers from the Simple Stories Reset Girl 6x6 paper pad, just one one card and this paper pad will be done!  The sentiments is from a Woodware stamp set and the mint gemstones are from Paper Studio, I used a Sizzix die to cut the sentiment banner.  This card came together relatively quickly as I am trying to finish off a few 6x6 paper pads.

Thank you for your visit, continue to be safe and come back soon.  My next post will be on Friday where I will be sharing my latest design team project for the Cut it Up challenge blog.

Father’s Day

Hello and happy Sunday, the start of a new week a chance to do and be better.  Today’s project share is a layout created  using sketch inspiration from Sketch N Scrap challenge #230 and some Tim Holtz and Paper Studio papers.  I cut the tittle using the Cricut Artiste CTMH cartridge, to heart die cuts and   some  Tim Holtz  small talk stickers.  I even added some white paint splatters which you can’t really see in the picture.  This layout is done, I was thinking it needed something else but the only other thing that I am going to add is the journaling.

Thank you for your visit and continue to be safe.  I hope you will visit again soon.
