New Year’s Eve

Hello and Happy New Year’s Eve night!  I meant to share this post earlier but as life would have it I didn’t get a chance to share until now.  I created this card using sketch inspiration from Sketch N Scrap  #160, papers from the Recollections Cozy Lodge and the Holiday Foil 6x6 paper pads. The snowman stamp is from the Simple Stories Holly Jolly set and the sentiment is from Cardz TV.  The white layer was embossed with a Darcie snowflake folder.  I really like the card but had a hard time getting a good picture because of the foil paper.  I am sharing this card for the Anything Goes sketch #535 over at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

Thank you for your visit, I hope you’ll return again soon.

Monday Musings

Hello and happy Monday, seems like it has been forever since I shared on my blog.  It is not even the hustle and bustle of the holiday it is just life that gets in the way of our ability to do some of the things that we want to do!  Today's project share is a card created using sketch inspiration from card sketch #159 from Sketch N Scrap.  I used papers from the Recollections Christmas Plaids 6x6 paper pad, and unbranded die for the sentiment and some Gina Marie enamel dots.

Thank you for your visit, I hope you'll return soon.  Wishing you and yours a wonderful holiday season!

Planner Disc Swap

Hello and happy cold and rainy Monday, I am doing a quick drive by post today.  I have way too many unfinished holiday projects so I am in a time crunch to at least get my cards in the mail within the next few days.  As mentioned in an earlier post I said I would share the planner disc that I sent in the holiday cards for a planner group swap.  The disc are for the Happy Planner and I just used permanent markers to write inspiring words on one side and the year on the other side.  They went postal last week and hopefully have made it to their destination. I'm sharing this project for the Anything Goes challenge #104 over at Cardz TV and challenge #41 over at Love to Craft challenge blog.

Holiday Swap

Hello and happy Friday, cold temps here in the Commonwealth with a forecast of some possible sprinkles this afternoon.  I have been up way too long today so I'm looking forward to going home and getting into bed.  Today's project share is some holiday cards that I made for a planner disc and card swap, I tried to make them as simple as possible since I have to include a disc which means the postage will be higher.  I will share a picture of the disc once I am finished with them which will be soon since I hope to have them in the mail by Monday.  I used mostly papers from the Love Nicole Winter Whimsy 6x6 paper pad and misc. die cuts and stamps.  I'm sharing this post for the Anything Goes challenge #104 over at Cardz TV, #516 over at Just Us Girls and the Winter  Holiday challenge #410 over at Shopping Our Stash.

December Daily

Hello, happy Sunday and first day of December, rain and cool temps in our area today.  Baby Girl will be going back to school today, she will be back in 11 days for her winter break.  I think I may have mentioned earlier that one of my scrappin' besties suggested that we do a December Daily, after watching several YT videos I decided to try a memory/rolodex style daily.  Today's project share is a few of the prep cards that I created using misc. papers, dies, stickers and embellishments.  I sure hope I can keep up with this as I do have a lot going on right now.  My plan is to share periodic updates, I am sure I won't snap a picture everyday but I will at least journal!

Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a wonderful week.

Sending Big Hugs

Hello and happy Wednesday, more seasonal temps in today's forecast.  So much has been going on that I haven't even had time to process and or share but I'm just trying to be thankful and not complain.  Today's project share is a card that I created for one of my scrappin' besties that recently suffered an unexpected loss.  Although it is one of my signature clean and simple cards, I really like how it came out.  I used the Calm & Loving stamp set from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps, my stamp positioner and some dimensional adhesive before adding the layer to the card base.  I'm sure I'll be using this stamp set again soon as it has lots of sentiments.  I'm sharing this card for the November challenge over at the Love to Craft challenge blog.

Thank you for your visit and I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday and that you'll return soon.

Joy

Hello Monday afternoon,  cloudy outside as the sun is setting; I am back to share my second blog post of the day.  It is another Christmas card and I have yet to finish my Fall/Thanksgiving cards.  I still need to make two sympathy/thinking of you cards and one birthday card this week.  I created this card and I am sharing it for one of the card challenge being hosted over at Soul Scrappers, challenge #6 was to include nativity as part of your card, I used one of my Silhouette files.  The file itself makes such a statement so I decided to only add a few layers not to add any embellishments.  This particular file is one of  my favorites.

Thank you for your visit, I hope you'll return soon.

Congratulations

Hello and happy cool Monday.  I am back today with a quick drive by post sharing a card that I made for someone expecting their first child.  I used sketch inspiration from CAS(E) #348, papers from the Echo Park Bundle of Joy  6x6 paper pad, used my SLICE machine to cut the onesie (added a wood veneer heart) and a stamped sentiment and this card was done.  I am sharing this card for the Cardz TV Anything Goes challenge #102.

Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a wonderful week.

Today's project share is another one where I struggled as I really wanted to do something different.  The jar of apples and sentiment is ffrom The Cutting Cafe, the wood grain paper and twine came from my stash;  I colored the apples with my color pencils, made the sentiment into a tag and added some wink of stellar to the top(not really visible in the picture).

I hope you will head over to the Cut it Up challenge blog for more Celebrate Fall inspiration, create and share your project using a die for a chance to win some files from our sponsor.  The challenge starts today and ends Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at noon EST.

World Kindness Day

Hello and happy World Kindness Day!   After our first sighting of snow yesterday and the drop in temperature I pulled out the big coat, scarf and gloves this morning!  Today's project share is something new for me but not new to the industry.  I am sharing my very first memory dex/rolodex card.  One of my scrappin' besties suggested that we do a December daily so off to YT for some ideas before I commit to another project.  After watching December Daily Memory Dex Spinner  I have decided that I am going to do this for my December daily but not with the spinner I am making a box; so stay tuned as I prepare for this project.  So for my first run I decided to do a Fall themed card since that's what I am working on now.  The rolodex card is a file from the Silhouette store, I used  misc. scraps of paper, stickers and a Darice tree die and this project was done!  I am sharing this project for challenge #382 over at Use Your Stuff and challenge #513 over at Just us Girls.

Thank you for your visit, I hope you'll return soon, stay warm.

Hello and happy Tuesday, seasonal temps in today's forecast.  So how goes your sleeping did you remember to fall back over the weekend?  Since November is traditionally the month of Thanksgiving and gratitude I decided to create a gratitude wall at work as a moral booster!  We are doing a 30 days of gratitude where each day a staff member list something.   I created the banner, acorns and leaves using the Pretty Pennant, Artiste, Designer Calendar and the Create-a-Critter  Cricut cartridges.  The small leaves and sunflowers are leftover items from other projects.   I'm sharing this LO for the Fall Holiday - Anything Goes challenge over at Bitten by the Bug 2 and challenge #123 over at Love to Craft November challenge #40.

CIU #185 - Ghosts, Goblins and Ghouls

Hello and happy Friday, seasonal temps in today's forecast.  Today I am sharing my latest design team project for the Cut it Up challenge blog, the theme is Ghosts, Goblins and Ghouls and the sponsor is Stinkin Cute Paper Piercings.

This was another one of those themes that was a struggle for me since I really don't do Halloween.  I decided to look through some of my Cricut cartridges and Silhouette files for a little inspiration.  My project includes a treat bag and a card;  the bag is a file from the Silhouette online store and the ghost on the card  was cut using the 3 Birds on Parade Cricut cartridge.  After I decided what I wanted to do the project came together nicely (I think) and I used items that have been in my stash for a long time. First time using the Darice falling dots embossing folder, not sure whether you can see it on the card!

I hope you will stop by the Cut it Up challenge blog for more design team inspiration and decide to share your Ghosts, Goblins and Ghouls project for a chance to win some crafting goodness from Stinkin Cute Paper Piercings.  The challenge starts today and ends Wednesday,  October 30, 2019 at noon EST.

Thank you for your visit, hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Hello and happy Thursday afternoon, cool and windy after yesterday's rain.  Today I am doing a quick drive by post to share a card that I put together using inspiration from one of the monthly FB challenges from Sketch and Scrap.  I am getting ready for a little weekend getaway so I am trying to get as much done as possible.  I am happy to report that used more of the Jen Hadfield paper and epherma which really makes for some clean and simple cards.  I really like this 6x6 paper pad so I might even buy the 12x12 pad for LOs even though I really don't need anymore paper!

Thank you for your visit, I hope you'll return tomorrow for my design team project for the Cut it Up challenge blog.

Girls Rule

Hello and happy sunny Tuesday, mild temps in today's forecast after a cool morning.  Today's project share is a another LO completed for my daughter.  I think it looks better in person, hard to photograph the foil paper.  The pattern papers are from a Paper Studio Be Bold Be Bright paper pad, I cut the title using the Cricut George cartridge and the silhouettes and tag are files from the Silhouette online store. Although I don't care for the limited amount of space I think I'll be making mostly 8 1/2 x 11 LOs for Baby Girl while she's in college.  I'm sharing this LO for the Anything Goes challenge #100 over at Cardz TV and challenge #39 over at Love to Craft challenge blog.

Thanks for your visit, hope you have a terrific Tuesday!

Saturday Musings

Hello and happy Saturday, it is cool right now but the forecast calls for mild temps today.  I am currently visiting my daughter for family weekend and since I was busy all week I didn't really have time to share.  Yesterday was my mother's birthday and since I put her card in the mail without taking a picture I didn't prepare a post to share which was my original intention.  Today I am sharing a card that I put together this morning using sketch inspiration from Tuesday Morning Sketches #524.  When I arrived here in Harrisonburg I stopped at Tuesday Morning looking for a gift but I wind up buying crafting goodness instead.  So today's card uses some of what I purchased, paper and ephemera from the Jen Handfield My Bright Life collection.  The Recollections gems are a part of my stash that I keep in my car.  I am sharing this card for the Anything Goes challenge #100 over at Cardz TV.

Thank you for your visit, take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

You Warm my Heart

Good afternoon, I am doing a quick driveby post to share another post and card using sketch inspiration from Try Stampin' on Tuesday #427.  The pattern papers came from the Heidi Swapp Favorite Things 6x6 pad, I think it's time to use up these papers and toss or get rid of the ones that I don't really like.  I'm such a paper hoarder I hate tossing paper.  I used a Fiskars stamp for the sentiment and an unbranded die for the cup.  I am not a coffee drinker but I love hot chocolate and flavored tea! I'm sharing this card for the Anything Goes challenge #99 over at Cardz TV.

Hello and happy Friday, the forecast calls for more seasonal temps starting today!  Today's project share is my latest design team project for the Cut It Up challenge blog.  The sponsor for our Tags, Bags or Boxes challenge is CASual Fridays.

For my project I used the Tonic Graceful Marquee  box die and a CASual Fridays tag die, miscellaneous papers from my stash, some hemp cord and a few gems.

For more inspiration stop by the Cut It Up challenge blog, create a project using a die and share it for a chance to win a prize from our sponsor.  The challenge starts today and ends on Wednesday October 16, 2019 at noon EST.

Thank you for your visit, have a wonderful weekend and I hope you'll return soon.

Hello October

Hello and happy October, more warm temps in our forecast for the next few days.  I'm doing another quick drive by post with one of my signature clean and simple cards.  As you all know October is Breast Cancer Awareness month so today I am sharing a BCA card.  I used sketch inspiration from Try Stampin' on Tuesday #427, papers and embellishments from a Me & My Big Ideas BCA kit that has been in my stash for some years.  I am sharing this card for the Anything Goes challenge #130 over at Always Fun Challenges and the BCA challenge #145 over at TIME OUT Challenges, this is my first time sharing on their blog. Don't forget to do your self-exams and have your annual mammogram!

Thank you for your visit, hurry back again soon!

Happy Birthday Granny

Hello and happy Saturday  more warm temps in today's forecast.  Today's project share is an easel card that I created for my daughter to give to my mom after watching  a May May Made It YouTube  video.  I used papers from a Fall 6x6 paper pad, a cut from the Base Camp Cricut cartridge and a few Gina Marie enamel dots.

On the other side of the card, I added  a pcicture of my mom and daughter, used a Prtint Works stamp for a caption and added a wood veneer heart.   I really like the card and it is one that she can display all year long!  I am sharing this card for the Grandparent challenge over at Bitten by the Bug 2 and the Cardz TV Anything Goes challenge #99.

Thank you for your visit, hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Speak Up 5k

Hello and happy Tuesday, more nice temps in today's forecast.  Today I am sharing a LO that I put together using pictures taken earlier this month when I walked in a 5K.  I started on this LO about two weeks ago and finally decided to finish it last night, I used pattern papers from the DCWV Teenage Dream Stack, cut the sneakers with my SLICE machine and the medal and title using my Cricut.  Another LO completed and in the books!

Thank you for your visit, I hope you'll return soon.  Take care.

Be Merry

Hello and happy Sunday, where does the weekend go?  Today I am sharing a super quick card that I put together yesterday for one of the Sketch N Scrap  FB  monthly challenges.  I used papers including the focal point came from the Recollections Say Freeze 6x6 paper pad, a ART-c stamp for the sentiment , finished the card by adding some diamond stickles.  I can say that I did have a productive weekend in regards to finishing several projects as I will be attending  a retreat over the weekend so I might not get any play!

Thank you for your visit, I hope you'll return soon.
