Thursday Musings

Hello and happy Thursday, what's on your agenda?  I meant to share this card yesterday but I never got around to it so I am sharing it today.  I put this card together for the FB card group using the sketch shared over at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  I just used more paper from my scrap stash, some Recollections glitter tape, a Sizzix die, a stamped sentiment and some Paper Studio flowers.   Take care and have a wonderful day.

Hello Summer

I know I'm a little late with my start of Summer project  but as life would have it I didn't get to share until now.  I'm back from a fun weekend celebrating family with my father's family, I'm tired so I am looking forward to some much needed downtime this weekend.  Today's card is another card using paper from my scrap stash, the Life's a Beach cricut cartridge to cut the flip flops, my cameo to cut the sentiment, a circle punch and a few K&Co. gems.  I shared this card for the Maymay Made It Summer Fun Challenge over on FB.  Take care and have a wonderful week.

Lifting Prayers

Hello Summer, we are expecting nice temps today for the first official day of summer and vacation for the kids.  Friday was the last day of school but most schools were closed because of the storm that we had on Thursday and some people are still without power.  Today's card is one that I put together for the FB card angel group.  The pattern paper is from a DCWV  6x12 pad that I picked up on clearance from JoAnns a while pack, s Simon Says stamp, and  MS punch.  I also added some stickles to the butterflies  but you can't see them, the card looks better in person.  Take care and have a wonderful week celebrating the new season!

Hello Saturday

It's the weekend, so what's on your agenda?  I am headed into work for a bit then home for some chores and errands.  Tomorrow church and mostly family time as we work out the details of our summer calendar.  One my co-workers asked me to make a card for another co-worker that will be celebrating his birthday tomorrow so Thursday night while it was storming this is what I did.  The inspiration for the card came from one that I saw posted on FB.  I used a cuttlebug folder, the cricut Pretty Pennants cartridge, a Casual Fridays stamp and some Recollections embellishments. I am sharing this card for the masculine challenge over at. Hiding in my Craft Room.  Take care and have a wonderful weekend celebrating fathers!

Thursday Musings

Hello Thursday, today is bittersweet for me as I a mess, that's all I can say.  I go through times when I just have to cry which I guess is a form of therapy for me.  There are some changes/challenges going on in my life right now that I find myself just needing to cry quite a bit.  Today would have been my sister's 57th birthday so instead of sharing her picture as I normally do I decided to share a picture of my daughter with her two sons.  We got  to see them this past weekend as they came to Virginia for mom's family reunion.  I really enjoyed seeing everyone but I was sad that my son wasn't able to make the trip. Family was so important to my sister so it makes my heart happy to share her two sons in honor of her birthday. Take care, make it a great day.

Tuesday Musings

Hello and happy Tuesday, how goes your week so far?  How's the weather in your area?  It has been fairly warm here for the past week or so and summer has't officially arrived.  Today I am back sharing another card,  I stepped outside my comfort zone a little after watching one of Dana Joy's youtube videos.  I used some TH distress ink for the background, a Lawn Fawn stamp set and some color pencils.   I like it, sure hope it brightens the spirit of the recipient!   Take care and have a Terrific Tuesday!

Hello Sunday

Hello and happy Sunday!  It has been a busy weekend and so I am feeling a little exhausted.  I am doing a driveby post as we will be getting on the road heading home soon.  Today I am sharing another card that I put together using leftovers scraps from another project.  This card is going postal to someone that was recently diagnosed with Lupus so we are sending her some words of encouragement.  The papers used came from a 6x6 Making Memories pad that has been in my stash forever.   I am sharing this card for the Super Scraps  Saturday challenge over at Hiding in my Craft Room.

Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a wonderful week.

Wednesday Wanderings

Hello and happy hump day!  The weather has been  relatively nice all week but I have sinus issues so I am dragging.  I'm trying to finish up some cards before I have to get ready for a busy weekend. Well I am back today with another guy card but not from the video hop but a card I put together for the FB card angel group.  This is the second card going postal to one of the other members father who is going through chemo right now. Since he likes the outdoors I decided to try to create a peaceful out door scene.   I used more papers from my enormous scrap pile and cuts from the CTMH Artiste and Suburbia cricut cartridges.

Hello and happy Monday, I'm sleepy what about you?  I went to bed fairly early but  kept waking up throughout the night so I am a little tired.  Are you tired of guy cards yet?  Well I am back today to share another card  that I created from the guy card collaboration on you tube, I think this may be it; I need to move on now!  I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the tools, the stamped sentiment is from a Lawn Fawn set and the embellishments are from Recollections.  I got the jean colored paper from Hobby Lobby.  I am sharing this card for the red, white and blue color challenge over at Can You Case It?  Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a wonderful week.

Celebrate

It's the  weekend and my plan is to rest as much as possible.  The school year is winding down and I am so looking forward to a little less running around.   Today I am back to sharing another guy inspired card as inspired by the video hop.  The op ends on Sunday and I have fallen behind so I will not make all the cards.   I used another cut fro the cricut Father's Day along with some corrugated Kraft paper, a Sizzix Tim Holtz  gear embossing folder, some brads and a metal sentiment.

Take care and enjoy your weekend

Family and Friends

Hello and happy Thursday, I am so loving the nice temps even though they have been predicting more rain.  I am taking a break today from my guy card sharing to share one of the LOs that I put together for a wedding album for one of my scrapping besties!  I shared my card in an earlier post.  When we started this project the goal was to use only items from our stash but as life would have it I did purchase a few sheets of paper.  I used one of my favorite border punches, added a few embellishments and a title and the LO was done.  The photo mats are secured with removable glue dots so she can rearrange and add different size pictures.  Tomorrow I will share the cover and front page of the album and then it'll be back to he guy card challenge.

Take care.
