Monday Musings

Hello and happy Monday, mild temps in the forecast today with cooler temps later in the week.  I'm back today to share holiday card created for the October challenge over at CAS Christmas Card, the theme for this month is birds.  I decided to pull out my Sizzix  Bigz TH Alterations Christmas Cardinal die, this is one that I've never used and it has been in my stash for a few years.   I used a WeR Memory Keepers embossing folder and added the panel to the card base with some dimensional tape.  This is one of the few times where the card came out as I had originally visioned!

Thank you for your visit, I hope you have a wonderful week.

Breast Cancer Awareness

Hello and happy Saturday, nice temps in the forecast today.  Hurricane Michael came and left death and debris in our state but nothing compared to Florida.  In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month I usually try to create at least one card to share with someone in the fight.  I created this super simple cute card using sketch inspiration from sketch # 285 over at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  I used pattern papers and stickers from Me & My Big Ideas.  The sentiment stamp is from A Muse Studio and I stamped it with some Hampton Art ink and some random gems from my stash.  I am sharing this card for the Anything Goes challenge #69 over at Cardz TV.

Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a wonderful weekend.

Happy Fall

Hello Thursday, cloudy skies as we brace ourselves for the rain and wind from Michael.  Our prayers and thoughts are with those that have already been impacted from the hurricane.  Today I am sharing another Fall card created using sketch inspiration from the WCMD sketch #1 over at Sketch N Scrap.  I used more scraps of paper from my stash,  an unbranded stitched oval die and the leaf is from the Sizzix Sidekick Side-Order Set - Autumn.  For the sentiment I used some stickers that one of my scrappin' besties was about to discard.  I'm sharing this card for the Autumn/Halloween challenge over at Use Your Stuff and the Anything Goes challenge #68 over at Cardz TV.

Thank you for stopping by, hope you'll return soon.

With Sympathy

Hello and happy Wednesday, cloudy and misting in our area today.  The forecast calls for more rain and winds tomorrow as Michael makes his way.  Prayers and hopes for minimal impact for those in the path of the storm.  I sure hope the Folk Festival doesn't get rained out this weekend.  Today I am sharing a card that I created using sketch inspiration from sketch #147 over at Fab Friday.  I used pattern papers from the American Crafts Spring 6x6 paper pad, Spellbinders dies for the oval and greenery and the pennant was cut using a WeR Memory Keepers die.  I am sharing this card for the Just Us Girls Word Week #461 - Sympathy.  I am so happy that I have been using my stash but I still have lots to use as I continue to only add what is necessary!

Thank you for your visit, I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday.

Tuesday Musings

Hello and happy Tuesday, seasonal temps on the horizon.  Today I am sharing the second card that I created for World Card Making Day 2018.  I used sketch inspiration from card sketch #131 over at Sketch N Scrap.  Although I used one of their regular sketches they have additional sketches that they will be sharing all month for WCMD.   The pattern sheet of came from the My Minds Eye Hey Mister paper pad and the enamel dots are from Paper Studio.   I am trying to add more male themed cards to my stash but this one didn't make it since my husband said he needed it as I was putting it together!  I think I may do a marathon male card making session with that pad.

Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll return soon.

Pool Fun

Hello and happy Sunday, I am back to share my latest LO.  I used pictures taken of baby girl floating in the pool the day after her baptism.  My BIL has a pool in his back yard so we always have an open invitation to have a pool party.  I just pulled some papers from my stash and looked at several LOs for inspiration but decided to just do my own thing!  I used some Colorbok letters for the title and a Spellbinders die for the sun.  I used the Life's a Beach and Forever Young Cricut cartridges to cut the flip flops, bikini and sunglasses.  I am sharing this LO for the Stripes Please challenge over at Southern Girls Challenge and the Anything Goes Challenge #68 over at Cardz TV.

Thank you for your visit and I hope you will return soon.

World Card Making Day

Hello and happy Saturday night, it is almost midnight but I wanted to share one of the cards that I made today.  I used sketch inspiration from challenge #284 over at Atlantic Hearts.; paper from  my scrap stash and pattern paper from the My MInd's Eye Hey Mister paper pad that I picked up recently from Tuesday Morning.  I finished the card by adding a sentiment that I cut using a Sizzix die and this card was done and is ready for the next male Birthday.  I am sharing this card for the September challenge over at  Always Happy Birthday.

It is now well past midnight and  I still need to go back downstairs before I get in the bed!  Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours have an enjoyable holiday weekend.

Cut it Up #158 - Halloween

Hello and happy Friday, seasonal temps and the possibility of rain in today's forecast.

I am back today to share my latest design team project for Cut it Up, our theme for this challenge is Halloween and our sponsor is Dreaming Tree.  You will finds lots of 3-D files and inspiration on their site, I chose to use the Jack-O-Lantern Tea Light and it is one of their free files.  I just pulled mostly scrap papers from my stash and cut the different layers with my Silhouette Cameo and I used a tealight candle that I purchased from Dollar Tree last year.  I watched their YT video on putting the holder together, I even pulled out my quilling tool and it came together quickly.

Head on over to the Cut it Up challenge blog for more inspiration from the design team and create your own Halloween project and share it for a chance to win a gift certificate from Dreaming Tree.  The challenge starts today and ends on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at noon EST.

Take care and have a wonderful weekend.

Give Thanks

Hello and happy sunny Thursday, another warm day here in our area.  Today I am sharing a card that I put together using sketch inspiration from Palm Trees and Pogo Sticks Fall to Layout #91.   I just used more paper scraps from other recent projects,  used a sticker for the sentiment, some twine and the Recollections Pumpkin & Boo Stamp and Die Set for the pumpkins.  I stamped the pumpkins on orange paper and colored the stems with a green Spectrun Noir glitter brush pen.  I really like how this card came out, another clean and simple card ready for the mail.  I'm sharing this card for challenge #78 over at Always Fun Challenges.

Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll return soon.

Hamilton

Hello and happy warm Wednesday, more sunny skies and warm temps in today's forecast for our area.  Today I am sharing a another LO from my daughter's senior year, last month she went to Washington, DC to see Hamilton.  I was so excited that I wanted to tag along, but they didn't need any parent chaperones.  The school she attends received a grant that afforded the students taking History and or Government the opportunity to attend after they submitted a project.  Since the playbill cover and the ticket stub took up the majority of the page I didn't need to add too many other elements to the page.  A picture of baby girl, a small tag and a few wood veneer stars and this memory was documented!  I'm sharing this LO over at Cardz TV for the Anything Goes Challenge #67.

Thank you for your visit, I hope you'll return soon.

Super Quick Treat Holder

Hello and happy Monday, I am doing a quick post; I meant to post this yesterday but as life would have it I didn't get to share.  The sun is shining and the forecast calls for temps in the lower 80s.  It looks like fall has taken over my blog  I was watching one of  MayMay's  older YT videos and decided to make this super quick treat holder, I did make some size adjustments to accommodate the treat that I was using.  The leaf pattern paper was some scraps from last year's Fall projects and I think I picked it up in HL so it is probably Paper Studio.  I cut the leaf using a Darice die, stamped a sentiment, used some ribbon and twine and this project was done!  I will probably make a different variation of this for my co-workers.  I'm sharing this super simple project for the Fall colors challenge # over at Die Cuttin' Divas and challenge #372 - Freestyle over at Hiding in my Craft Room.

Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll return soon.  I will be sharing the winner of my blog candy from our Cut it Up Fall blog hop.
