Thursday Musings

Hello, happy Thursday and mini Friday!  Today I am doing another quick drive by post to share another holiday card.  I used sketch inspiration from Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch #529.  The pattern papers are from Stampin' Up, used a Crafter's Companion edge die and a Hero Arts stamp for the sentiment.  I even added some glimmer mist which you can't see in the picture but this signature clean & simple card came together quite nicely.

Thank you for your visit, I hope you'll return soon; take care and continue to be safe.

ShowTimeTuesday

Hello and happy Tuesday, doing a quick drive by post to share my latest memorydex card.  I recently finished a 10 week memorydex class and I have only completed a few of the assignments; the good thing is I can go back at my leisure and do them.  In keeping with my clean and simple style I created this BCA memorydex card  using  some paper from the My Favorite Things Buffalo Brights 6x6 paper pad, stamped and heat embossed the word HOPE using a stamp set from A Muse Studio, a Sizzix alphabet die set, a pink glittered foam ribbon  and some Bo Bunny candy dots. I created this for  a challenge over on the Scraps of Color FB group but it also works well for my October memorydex card.  I'm sharing this for the Anything Goes challenge #152 over at Cardz TV.

Thank you for your visit, I hope you'll return soon.

Happy Birthday

Hello Tuesday, doing a quick drive by post to share another birthday card.  This card has already gone postal to California, I hope the recipient receives it in time, the mail is so unpredictable lately.  When creating this card, I used a Sizzix embossing folder, some linen and some pearlized paper from my stash.  This cute camera cut/embossing folder was one of  my previous years HL clearance purchases that hadn't been used, added a few bits to make it a shaker card which is optiional!  I'm sharing this card for the Clean and Simple Birthday challenge #563 over at The Paper Players and the Anything Goes challenge #151 over at Cardz TV.  I'm so glad that I am finally using more of my unused stash items.

Thank you for your visit, stay safe and hurry back soon.

Happy Birthday Mom

Hello Monday, today is my mom’s 80th Birthday and Columbus Day! We are planning a small family breakfast celebration.   Today I am sharing one of the cards that I made for her, this card uses the Sizzix Happy Birthday Impresslits , one of the items from my stash that I finally used for the first time.  The pattern paper is from the Recollections Rainbow Inks 6x6 paper pad which was gifted to me from another crafter; the foil paper  and shaker bits are from Recollections too..  I used another Sizzix die set to cut the numbers and added a few score lines which you can’t see in the picture, the use of foil and the foil in the paper didn’t allow for a lot of additional embellishments.  I think the card is pretty in person just didn’t photograph well!  I am sharing this shaker card for the October Anything Goes challenge over at Die Ciut Divas and challenge #151 over at Cardz TV.

Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a wonderful week.

CIU #236 - Pink

Hello and happy Friday welcome to the weekend!  Today's project share is my design team project for the Cut  it Up challenge blog.  The theme for challenge #236 is Pink and the sponsor is CAS-ual Fridays Stamps

October is breast cancer awareness month so for my pink challenge I created a Think Pink card.  I used a Julie Nutting doll that I colored with alcohol markers, some handmade paper for the base and  pattern paper from the Dear Lizzy She's Magic 12x12 paper pad.  The sentiment is from an A-Muse Studio stamp set that I stamped on an unbranded stitched square and the glittered ribbon sticker has been in my stash for a long time.  I used my micron black pen to create the faux stitching.

I hope you'll head over to the Cut it Up challenge blog for more inspiration from the rest of the design team, create and share your pink project for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate from our sponsor.  The challenge starts today and ends Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at noon EST.

Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a wonderful weekend; I hope you'll return soon.

Faith

Hello Friday, let the weekend begin!  Today's drive by post is a card share created using sketch inspiration from challenge #525 over at Try Stampin' on Tuesday, pattern papers from the Echo Park Have Faith 6x6 paper pad and I used an old Pink Bow Ties now Capitol Chic Designs stamp for the sentiment.  Finished the card by adding a few Bo Bunny gems as I really thought it needed something still not completely sure how I feel about it.  The stamped sentiment is heat embossed so it does look better in person1

Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a safe and wonderful weekend.
