Trick or Treat

Happy Halloween, I have been trying to post all day but as life would have it I am just getting around to it!  We are ready for our trick or treaters as I had my daughter to make goodie bags.  Today I am sharing another one of the cards that I put together for the card making station at work.  I am also sharing it for the die cut or punches challenge over at Use Your Stuff.  I cut the bag using the Doodlecharms cricut cartridge and a Martha Stewart border punch for the fence.  The stamped sentiment is from the winter holidays Autumn Leaves stamp set and a few Jellies from Queen & Co and this card was done.

Take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend and if you live in an area where you have to adjust your clocks don't forget!

Happy Friday

It's the weekend, so what's on your agenda; are you planning anything exciting.  I really don't have any plans just resting and relaxing since it seems like all of this going is catching up to this old body. I sure hope my family doesn't have different plans.  I am back today to share another card that I put together for the FB card angel group.  Looking at it now I'm not sure about that flower that I added as an  after thought.    The sketch inspiration for this card came from Sketch Frenzy Friday.

Take care and have wonderful weekend.

Wednesday Musings

This month is almost over which means the holidays are approaching and of course I'm not ready for the influx of additional to do items.  It's raining outside today but it is still relatively warm considering it is almost November.  October is a month that includes the observance of several awareness campaigns so today I am sharing a breast cancer awareness card  that I put together. Sketch inspiration for this  card came from sketch #292 from the  Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge blog.  I used paper from a Me and My Big Ideas Mambi scrapbooking kit,  one of the chipboard stickers as the sentiment along with some ribbon and gems; everything has been in my stash for a while.

Take care and thank you for your visit.

Happy Halloween

Time to go back to work tomorrow and my weekend to do list isn't done!  I spent a lot of time getting some card kits together for work.  I am suppose to staff a table for the kids on Friday so I decided to have them put together some cards.  My cricut really got a workout cutting pumpkins, cats, spiders, ghosts, etc.  Today I am sharing one of the cards that I put together as an example.  I cut the cat and grass using the CTMH Artiste cartridge, stamped the sentiment using an Autumn Leaves stamp.  I am  sharing this card for the Fall challenger over at Scraps of Color and the any holiday challenge over at Hiding in my Craft Room.

Take care and have a wonderful week!

Happy Fall

Wow, it has been a week since I last shared.  Here it is after midnight and I am racing to finish this post so I can share it for the Hiding in my Craft Room favorite cutting tool challenge.   One of my most favorite tools is my  cricut expression, I also used my cuttlebug for some embossing.  I love my expression and refuse to upgrade to one of the new models because I don't want to have to be tied to my computer or the internet.  I used the CTMH Artise cartridge for the leaves and the Mickey & Friends cartridge for the acorn.  The embossing folder is from Darice and I paid .99 for it at Tuesday Morning not too long ago.  The card sketch inspiration is from Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge #291.

Take care and enjoy your weekend!

Friday Musings

Today's card is one that I put together using more scraps from one  of the projects that I worked on at the retreat.  I still need to share that project once I embellish the cover.  The card sketch inspiration came from sketch #208 over at Freshly Made Sketches.  I am also sharing this card for this week's super scraps challenge over at  Hiding in my Craft Room and the ribbon challenge over at Use Your Stuff.

This week has gone by so fast and of course I have not been able to keep up.  It is almost 11:00 pm but I wanted to share before I go to bed for the night.  I am trying to stay awake as my daughter is out at a concert, her first without me or her father.  She is not without family supervision as my brother-in-law is her chaperone for the evening, DH is working and I wasn't up for it!

Wednesday Wanderings

It's Wednesday and I'm feeling like I can't catch up, my desk is running over with lots and lots to do and to be done!  I'm back today to share some of  the pages for my scripture journal that I worked on at the retreat; I need to work more diligently to get my journal caught up.  I just used miscellaneous scraps of papers and a few embellishments, the book is already busting at the seams!  If I decided to do another one I think I'll choose a different type of book.

Columbus Day

It's Monday and a holiday, I am really tired!  I had a wonderful weekend at a crop with a great group of scrappers.  I didn't get much done but I enjoyed the fellowship, didn't even bother to take a die cutting machine or not one sheet of 12x12 paper; it really didn't matter because the other ladies were willing to share.  So today I am sharing the two cards that I did manage to put together.  The double sided sheet of pattern paper came from Gwen, from North Corlina, all other pieces are scraps from my stash.  The ornament is a stcker and the candy was cut using the Christmas Cheer cricut cartridge.  I also used some twine and a borrowed border punch.

Take care and have a great week.

Feel Better Soon

It's Thursday and I leave for my weekend getaway tomorrow, dropped my car off to be serviced this morning so all I will need to do is load it first thing in the morning and leave once baby girl goes to school.  I have to decide what I am going to do so I may not pack much and just catch up on my scripture journal.  I'm back today to share another card that I created for the card group.  I used one of the stamps from  a Fiskars stamp set that had gone unused; I have way too many stamps, supplies, machines, etc.  that I've never used.  I did a little coloring, added some stickles, and a few other embellishments along with a sizzix die.  This card will go postal tomorrow to someone that is recovering from surgery.  Take care and enjoy your day.

Tuesday Musings

Hello, its Tuesday and I'm starting to feel a little anxiety.  I am not ready for this weekend's crop, there is just too much going on and I am feeling a bit overwhelmed and stretched.  I sure hope I can get everything in order within the next two days.  Today I am sharing a slightly different version of the card that I posted on Sunday.  I used more paper from the  Heidi Swapp Favorite Things 6x6 paper pad along with a Recollections flower and a smiley face sticker.  I think the stamp is one from a Hero Arts set, all done and ready to go postal.

Take care and have a Terrific Tuesday!

World Card Making Day

Yesterday was  another rainy day and World Card Making Day.  I must say I didn't do much of anything, I took my daughter to get her hair done, ran a few errands then came home took a long nap,, woke up and did some chores.  I did put together two more simple cards for the Facebook card group so I am sharing one of them today.  The pattern paper is from Basic Grey, used a punch, a flower from stash and it was done.  Now that I am looking at the card it looks like it could be a Christmas card, may have to rethink sending it until later!

It's Raining

I am so over this rain because all I want to do is sleep!  We still have a few more days of rain before it starts to clear but at least it looks like we will be spared hurricane Joaquin.  Today I am sharing another card that I put together for another child that was recently hospitalized.  I used more of my scraps of paper, the pattern paper is from the DCWV grade school paper pad, used the cricut cartridge Cuttin' Up for his name and the Create-a-Friend cartridge for the ribbon.  The card sketch inspiration came from challenge #238 over at Try Stampin on Tuesday.  Take care and have a wonderful weekend.
