This is my version of another challenge from my sista friends. The LO had to include the poem by Maya Angelou (or parts of it). I plan to complete another version of this LO using women in my family, a concept lifted from another members version of this challenge.

Okay, time really flies so I've decided to do my weekly updates on Sunday. Why Sunday, because it is the first day of the week and I can usually squeeze a few minutes in to get it done. Last week I didn't enter an update post, I didn't complete my challenges either but there were some mini-milestones. I took a day off work and did absolutely nothing which is a first for me, yes I did run some errands and whatever else I had to do for Esperanza (transport to and from school, homework, etc). Otherwise ordinarily I would have considered it a wasted day but I needed it. Esperanza took and passed her blue belt test in aikido and now she's the highest ranking youth in her dojo. I am most proud of how her confidence level has grown when she executes. She's becoming a natural leader and has started weapons training. We'll see what this week brings, I'm hoping to have more scrappin' time but thats always one of the top things on my list. I do plan to post some of my sista challenges soon. Until the next time!

This is a LO of my daughter using a picture that was taken after a snow storm that came rolling in last month (March). I really like the picture, the colors and her radiant smile. The title was suggested by one of my sista members from the MB.

Its Thursday already, time is really flying. As usual so much to do and just not enough time to get it all done. Yesterday was Grandparent's day at my daughter's school and it was so much fun, my MIL was her special lunch guest. Esperanza worked on her try-its for her Brownie Badges, I really need to do a LO before the school year ends. Esperanza will play her first soccer game for this season on Saturday so that means more pictures to scrap. I am planning a weekend of organization, cleaning and discarding so I'm not sure how much crafting I'll get done. I hope nothing else pops up that throws a "monkey wrench" into my plans.

This a LO of my daughter of pictures taken on Easter Sunday after church. I hid 16 eggs in the yard and she found them. She also hunted egss at church, school and the sitter; she loves to hunt for eggs. The other pictures are of her basket and card that she received from us. The basket is a pink and white soccer ball which contained alot of goodies.

Okay, I never entered my update last week just posted a LO. Wow this blogging thing can really consume you, it doesn't help that I'm following other blogs in addition to maintaining my own. Anyway, all in all things are going pretty well nothing much happening. I hope to be able to get some additional crafting time in this week as my daughter is on Springbreak so that means no transporting to and from school and no homework. So stay tuned as I may be able to post at least one more project by the end of this week!
