Wednesday Wanderings

Hello and happy Wednesday, last work day for me this week!  My daughter is on Spring break this week so I took off a few days to spend some time with her.  Today I am sharing a card that I made for a Fold challenge over at Scraps of Color.   I made a Dutch fold card using the instructions found on Beccy's Place, she has a long of fold types along with the instructions.  I used paper from the My Mind's Eye Indie Chic 6x6 paper pad, I have just a few more sheets left and this pad will be gone!  I cut the ovals using Spellbinders dies, added some Paper Studio flowers and a stamped sentiment;  added pop dots to the top half only to adhere it to the card.  I really like how it came out and may try another one soon, there are also different variations of this particular card too.  I am sharing this card for the pop dot challenge over at Use Your Stuff.

Take care and enjoy your day.

Monday Musings

Hello and happy Monday, I meant to share yesterday but I never got around to it.  I trust that you had a wonderful time with family and friends celebrating Resurrection Day.  I had a blessed time even though it rained the whole day.  I got up and took the two hour ride to worship with my parents, hung out with family there for a few hours and then drove back and had dinner with my in-laws.  Today I am sharing  a card that I put together for one of my friends that recently suffered a loss, decided to send her this card  to let her know that she is still in my prayers.  The pattern papers came from a 6x12 DCWV stack and the navy layer from a small stack of hand made papers.  I used a MS punch for the butterfly and circle, added some  glimmer mist (can't see it in the picture) and a few faux pearls from Recollections and the card was done.  Take care and enjoy your week.

Friday Musings

Hello and happy Friday, it's the weekend!  We are having another nice spring day here with a little rain drizzle this morning.  I am excited to share a card that I completed last night for the FB card angel group.  The sketch inspiration came from one of the recent sketches posted over at Try Stampin' on Tuesday,  it took a few twists and turns but I am happy with how it came out. I used the dress form die  that I ordered last month during a sizzix sale.   I am sharing this card for the March card tic-tac-toe challenge over at Two Paper Divas,  I used the items listed in the first column which includes: the color green, a die and embossing.

Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a wonderfully blessed Easter/Resurrection weekend.

Wednesday Wanderings

We made it, just two more work days and then it's the weekend.  Nice weather, just a little breezy.  Today I am sharing another card that I made for the FB card angel group for a couple celebrating their 50th.    I really like how the card came out after going to several variations and embellishments.  The flower is from Webster and it was the last one in the pack that I received from another crafting sister.

So what's on tap for your Easter holiday weekend?   On Saturday, we will be volunteering at a water drive for Flint, Michigan and Sunday I will probably go visit my parents since I didn't go last month.   The kids here will be on spring break next week so I took off a few days to hang out with my daughter, not sure what we'll be doing.  Take care and enjoy the rest of your week.

Hello Spring

It's the first day of spring but we have cool temps and rain; in other areas of the state they have snow!  I am not feeling well but I am going to press on, going to church and we are suppose to,help my BIL pick up his office afterwards.  Our daughter is going to a women's day service with her Girl Scout troop and they will sell cookies afterwards.  DH and I will be visiting another church for their Sunday of Hope for St Jude's Research Hospital.

Today's  card is one that I made for the FB card angel group using skerch inspiration from Mojo Monday.   I used a cupcake stamp that has been in my stash for a long time which I colored with my Spectrum markers, added  some Viva glitter and pop dots.  Although all items used on this card came from my stash I am sad to report I fell off my no spending ban and added to my stash yesterday.  Take care and have a wonderful week.

Friday Musings

Hello and happy Friday, another nice weather related day. Today I am sharing a card that I made for my MIL's birthday.  When I made this card I used my Spellbinders Grate Effect card creator die for the first time along with other items from my stash.  I am happy to report that I am just into my 18th day of no craft spending; I made it through the home shopping network craft show earlier this week without even watching it!  I am also sharing this card for the flowers challenge over at Use Your Stuff.

Take care and enjoy your weekend and always I hope you will come back soon.

Wednesday Wanderings

Wow, it's Wednesday and it's going to be nice outside!  Today's post is going to be short and to the point.  I could share my struggles with trying to rid myself of my  huge stack of paper scraps, the fact that I have had a hard time staying awake this week and I'm really wanting a nice tall glass of sweet ice tea!  Oh I must keep it moving.  Today I am sharing another that I put together for the FB card angel group.  The sketch inspiration was last week's challenge over at Can You Case It?  All items used have been in my sketch for a while!  Take care and I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!

Slow Down

Wow, I need to slow down after reading my daily devotions this morning that is exactly what I am going to do.  All of this overbooking, scheduling with no downtime is taking its toll me both physically and mentally.  I don't recall the time change being a problem for me but it along with my schedule has me in a whole different zone!  Oh well it seems my blog has been feeling some neglect too as I didn't realize I hadn't shared in a few days until I was preparing to share today's post.

Today I am sharing my first Easter card for the season, sure hope I can step it up and finish a few more this week.  I am still struggling trying to use my 'mile high' scraps of paper stash which is what I used to put this card together for an Easter challenge over at SOC. I also sharing it for this month's  Super Scraps Saturday challenge  over at Hiding in my Craft Room.  Everything used came from my stash, happy to share I am 14 days and counting into my no craft spending challenge.  Wishing you and yours a wonderful week.

Thursday Musings

I meant to post earlier but I just didn't have time, I have been enjoying the warmer temps.  I have a little down time as I am sitting here now having my car serviced watching basketball.  Once I am done here I have to go hear the Supt. of Schools give his state of the schools address, as usual it is not a good situation when they don't receive all of the requested funding.  Oh well enough of the chatter, today I am sharing a card that I recently made in my quest to tackle some of my scraps.  I think I used an old Mojo Monday for the skerch for inspiration, the pattern paper is some of the last few sheets from a 6x6 pad.  I used my cricut to cut the balloon, added a few enamel dots and pop dotted the stamped sentiment and the card was done!

Tuesday Musings

Hello and happy Tuesday, warmer temps today!  Today is my MIL's birthday and I meant to share her card but I didn't take the picture, I'll have to get a picture once she opens it!  I went to a meeting last night and they just invaded my March and April calendar with way too much stuff.  Today I am sharing another project where my crafting supplies are being used by my daughter for one of her school projects.  I can't remember exactly what it is called but I do know that it was for her Oceanography class.  I cut the title using the Mickey font cricut cartridge, the Xyron sticker maker to adhere it; she used glue dots and my label maker, we had everything that she needed including the board at home; we did have to buy the candy.

Happy Planner

Hello and welcome to the start of another week!  Since I am on a craft spending ban I wanted to share a project where I have been using free printable stickers offered by other crafters.  All the other items that I have been using in my planner are from my stash.  Today I am sharing my weekly spread from my Me & My Big Ideas Happy Planner.  Like my scrapbooking style I stick to the less is better style and I do belong to several groups but I have never shared with them!  I snapped this picture last week as I was working on my calendar and I have since made a few additions and adjustments.  This is my first time keeping my personal and professional calendar separate which is a challenge in itself sometime.   This new way of planning is a work in progress as is my whole crafting style!   Take care and have a wonderful week as we are expecting warmer temps.

Think Spring

Hello and happy Friday, woke up this morning to a little bit of snow on the grass and cars.  It started to melt almost as soon as it came down so no cause for delay or alarm even though some areas had delays.  Today I am sharing a card that I put together in hopes of brightening the day of someone that is suffering from cancer.  The person that requested the card wanted bright and cheery so I hope this works!   I am continuing to use my stash, even more now since I am on a spending ban for crafting items for this month.  I am sharing this card for two challenges, the color challenge over at Can You Case It and the First and Third (Think Spring) challenge over at Scraps of Color.

Take care and have a wonderful weekend.
