Cut it Up #152 - Under the Sea

Hello and happy Friday, it's the weekend what's on your calendar?  I have several things on my schedule for Saturday, just need to figure out how I can fit everything in!

Today I'm sharing my design team project for the the Under the Sea challenge over at Cut it Up and our sponsor for this challenge is The Cutting Cafe.  I must say this challenge took me a little out of my comfort zone but I think I weathered it okay.  The fish and sentiment are files from The Cutting Cafe, colored the fish using a Art-C waterbrush that I picked up from HL on clearance,  fuzzy cut them and added them to the card with some dimensional tape. The remaining elements of the card came from  the Animal Antics Cricut cartridge.

I hope you'll visit the Cut it Up challenge blog, see what the other design team members created and share your own Under the Sea project for an opportunity to win some crafty goodness from The Cutting Cafe.  The challenge starts today and ends at noon (EST) on Wednesday, July 25, 2018.

Thank you for your visit, hope you'll come back again soon.  Wishing you and yours a wonderful weekend.

Daddy's Love

Hello and happy Tuesday, another hot day here in the Commonwealth.  I love this super simple LO because the attention is drawn to the photos without a lot of what I call competing embellishments!  I used some sketch  inspiration from Organized and Creative Mom, I really like her sketches.  I even used some handmade papers that has been in my stash for a long time; I picked them up from Costco. The title was cut using my SLICE machine, which is still one of my favorites.  I'm sharing this LO for the Anything Goes challenge #55 over at Cardz TV and #24 over at Love to Craft.  Thank you for your visit and I hope you have a terrific day.

Hello and happy Tuesday, seasonal temps in the forecast for today and hopefully no rain.  Today I am sharing a card that I have been wanting to try for a while and was super excited when Tracey from Gift Basket Appeal  shared one recently.  A great way to use scraps and it came together rather quickly with the only exception of cutting the adhesive tape, I'll use pop dots the next time!  The sentiment came from the Stampabilities card phrases set.   Now I just have to wait for the perfect opportunity to give this card to a lego enthusiast.  I'm sharing this card for the Anything Goes challenge #53 over at Cardz TV.  Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll come back again soon.

Family

Hello and happy Friday, sunny skies right now but may rain again this evening.  It's the weekend and I'm hoping to get some more organizing done.  I'm doing a driveby post today as I meant to share this LO yesterday but as life would have it I didn't.  This LO is actually a redo of one that I worked on at crop that I attended last month, I just need to add the journaling.  The LO uses pictures taken last August at a family gathering hosted by my mom, glad I documented this one as I'm not sure how many more events we'll have like this one.  Everything used has been in my stash for a while, I cut the tree using the April Showers cricut cartridge.  I'm sharing this LO for the Anything Goes Challenge #371 over at Die Cuttin' Divas and the Anything Goes Challenge #50 over at Cardz TV. Have a Happy You Day

Hello and happy Tuesday, hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend.  Cloudy skies and more rain in the forecast for our area thanks to Alberto.  One of the projects that I started to tackle over the weekend was to organize my scraps, it is going to be a long process!  I recently went to crop with some ladies and one of the other scrappers had her scraps organized and she mentioned if I had mine organized I would probably use them so I have started that monumental task.  So today I am sharing a card that I put together using some scraps from that pile, I was ready to toss that piece of pattern paper but decided to use it one more time!  The sentiment is from the Cardz TV This 'N' That stamp set, I added a few Queen & Co. Jellies but you can barely see them in the picture.  I'm sharing this card for the Anything Goes Challenge #22 over at Love to Craft and Anything Goes #49 over at Cardz TV.  Take care and have a wonderful week.

Hello and happy Sunday, it's almost bed time.  I was going to schedule this post for tomorrow but I just decided why not do it now.  Today I am sharing another Father's Day card using inspiration from card sketch #120 from Sketch N Scrap.   The pattern papers are from the Love Nicole Time Machine 6x6 paper pad, a Hero Arts stamp for the sentiment added a few Jolee dimensional stickers and this card was done!  I am sharing this card for the  Any Holiday Challenge #350 over at Hiding in my Craft Room.  Thank you for your visit, hope you have a wonderful week as we say goodbye to April and hello to May!

Happy Birthday

Hello and happy Saturday, today is my manager's birthday so I am sharing the card I made for her.   I used one of my new favorite die sets  to make the card, this easel card is so versatile.  I used some  Love Nicole heavy weight cardsrock for the base and some paper scraps from the American Crafts Crimison 6x6 paper pad for the banner.  I heat embossed the sentiment and the flower, I think I might even use chalkboard paper the next time I make this card!   I am sharing this card for the CAS challenge #55 over at Always Fun Challenges and the Anything Goes  Challenge #45 over at  Cardz TV.   Thank you for your visit, have a wonderful weekend.

Hello Friday

Hello and happy Friday, cooler temps this AM but a little warm up later today.  Day 2 of our move and I am up trying to get an early start to my day.  I have had some late nights this week ar work so my plan is to leave work a little early today.  Baby girl returns from her minimester in South Carolina today, DH is out of town for the weekend and there's lots do as always.  Today's card is one that I put together for someone that recently experienced the loss of both of their parents.  I used paper from the 6x6 Spring paper pad from American Crafts, a WeR Memory Keepers die for the rose, twine for the bow and some Queen & Co Jellies as embellishments.  I am sharing this card for the following challenges:  3-2-1 over at  DIe Cuttin' Divas, Super Scraps Saturday #348 over at  Hiding in my Craft Room. and Anything Goes #44 over at  Cardz TV..  Thank you for your visit, have a wonderful weekend and I hope you return soon!

Wednesday Musings

Hello and happy Wednesday, lots going on today as I will be working my last day in my current building.  They have built us a new hospital and we will start moving tomorrow, bittersweet as I'm not sure how I feel about it.  Anyway on to my project share for today, another birthday card to add to my stash using sketch inspiration from  Fall to Layout #66 Take Two over at Clean & Simple Stamping.  I used more scrap paper from my stash and balloon dies from C. C. Designs.  I even used some liquid pearls for the first time, they have been in my stash for a very long time!  I am sharing this card for this month's  challenge over at Always Happy Birthday  and the Anything Goes Challenge #43 over at Cardz TV.  Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll come back soon.

Enjoy Life

Hello and happy Monday afternoon, I am squeezing in a driveby post.  I have been so busy that I don't know whether I am going or coming.  I did spend sometime this weekend working on the LO that I am sharing today.  The LO uses sketch inspiration from sketch #150 over at Sketch N Scrap and pictures from my daughter's birthday dinner earlier this year.  I used papers from the Recollections Elegant and Serene paper pad, flowers from Recollections and the title is a sticker from one of the scrapbooking page kits that I picked up from Hobby Lobby on clearance.  Thank you for your visit, I have a busy week but I do hope to get in a few more posts this week!
