Thursday Talk

Its Thursday and I feel like I have gotten anything done this week.  Its Girl Scout cookie time so we've been busy delivering cookies in addition to our normal routine.  I'm feeling totally out of sorts since I couldn't find my brown ink pad this morning.  I've got to spend some time organizing and putting my stuff in order this weekend.  I've decided not to go to CK convention and that DD isn't going to her out of town training this weekend.  We need to spend some time at home and staff out of the car!  Today I'm sharing the second project for the cricut challenge over at Scraps of Color.  I used the cupcake from the Wrap it Up cartridge and a piece of scrap paper.  I'm learning  that I need to use all the paper that I'm going to use when I make a project so I don't add anything else to my 'scrap arsenal.'

Spirit Day

Today is spirit day at my daughter's school and we haven't purchased any gear yet so she asked me to make her a t-shirt.  She told me what she wanted on it so we just had to get an orange t-shirt , the school colors are black and orange.  I think it came out cute, and she was pleased, I used the Quarter Note cartridge for the vinyl lettering and Create A Critter for the glittered heart.  My laptop had the blue screen death this morning, I sure hope it comes back alive!

Wrap it Up

Today's post showcases my lastest project for the cricut cartridge exploration challenge over at Scraps of Color.  Wrap it Up is one of my favorite cartridges because it has a little bit of everything on it.  I used the little deco diecut that can be found on page 41 of the cartridge manual.  I made these 4x4 cards for my daughter, she is using them as thank you cards for the birthday gifts that she recently received.  I got the inspiration to make these cards from Da Shawnna over at Creative Daze!  Take care and be blessed.

So Excited

Hello Sunday, today I'm so excited to share with you a cut that I recently did with my cameo.  I'm excited because I have been trying to figure out how to cut this particular image for quite sometime.  I can't take all the credit because I'm not proficient with the studio software that the cameo uses but I had the help of one of my scrappin' friends.  I sent Shirley  over at Okieladybug's Scrap N' More the picture and she converted it to an svg file and I was able to cut it.  I can't wait to cut it again and use it on some of my projects.  I am also sharing this project as blog week #9 over at Scraps of Color.  This week's challenge was 'anything goes' so I'm sharing a cut-out of the logo for an organization where I am a member.  Have a great week!

History

This has been a really wild week and I'm just totally exhausted mentally; I can't figure out how I'm going to get past so many hurdles.  Anyway one thing that really relaxes me is when I craft so thats why I just decided to try to get some "me time" in as I navigate through this maze called life.  Today I'm sharing another page from my smash book.  Its a Black History thank you LO that I created for the week #8 blog challenge over at Scraps of Color.  All items used on the LO came from my paper scraps and  my stash.  I cut the thank you tag using my cameo and the MLK image and dream big sentiment using my cricut.   The ribbon is from American Crafts and the star stickers from EK Success.  The one line journaling reads Thank you Dr. King for inspiring us to dream big!  Wishing you and yours a blessed Wednesday.

Happy Friday

Happy Friday and hello weekend, so what do you have planned?  We have alot going on including the actual birthday celebration for our daugther; I still need to finalize that.  Today is my father's  birthday so I'm sharing one of the cards that we sent him.  This car was really a monster to put together, it is another cut from the Art Deco carridge, these are not cuts you can put together in a hurry.  I can't believe I've done two cuts within the same week from the same cartridge for the exploration challenge over at Scraps of Color!  Wishing you and yours a great weekend.

Finally Done

Can you say happy dance, I'm finally done with our 2012 family reunion album, the only thing left to do is finish up the journaling!  Wow this has been a long process and I am quite pleased with how it came out.  Today I'm sharing one of the final LOs that I finished over the weekend using misc. pictures from the Tom Joyner Family Reunion in Orlando last summer.  I'm scrappin' my stash that included the misc. stickers and other embellishments that was used on this LO.  Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Happy Birthday

Today we're celebrating the birth of our baby girl; twelve years ago on this day God blessed us with a miracle.   A blessing indeed, the apple of her dad's eyes, a precious gem to her big brother and  her mother's very own princess.  We are so thankful and happy that she is a part of our family.  She's been stalking the mailbox all week and she should have lots of wishes today, I even put a card in the mail to her.    Today I'm sharing the birthday greeting that she seen when she went into her bathroom this morning, I usually put a sign on the mirror but I decided to make this chipboard crown this time.  I can't even remember which cartridges I used because I was in such a hurry trying to do it without her seeing it! My baby is growing up!  Happy 12th Birthday Princess Hope!

Valentine's Card

Wow, I'm just giving my little cricut expression a workout; I think I'm stressing because I haven't taken the time to learn the studio software for my cameo.  Today I'm sharing another little card that I cut just this morning from the Spring Holiday Cards cartridge, I actually won it last year as part of some blog candy from An'Jenic over at AJ Scrapbooking and Cards.  Next I'll need to try to cut the envelope which will probably be a chore. It's a very simple Valentine's Day card that I created  for the week #7 blog challenge over at Scraps of Color.   The challenge was to create something using only black, red and white.  I forgot to mention I'm participating in the "No Scrap Shopping" for the month of February over at SOC too.  I did pick up a few items at the Michael's clearance sale last Thursday so I shouldn't need to purchase anything including adhesive.

Art Deco Card

Today I'm sharing a card that I made using the Art Deco cricut cartridge, I have mixed feelings about it as I'm not sure I'd give the card to someone.  I received this cartridge from PC as a gift, I'm not sure its one that I would have purchased.  This is my first time ever using the card feature on a cartridge: I plan to create the project in the booklet as my next project which uses the monogram feature.  I used the cartridge as part of the cartridge exploration challenge over at Scraps of Color.  Have a great week and try to stay warm.

Happy Go Red Day

Its Friday, February 1, are you wearing red today?  I'm not,  I totally forgot as I usually do wear red on National Wear Red Day (red is one of my favorite colors anyway), shame on me.  So in an effort to redeem myself I'm blogging about the importance of women's heart health.  Do yourself a favor and check your heart!  Check out the following site http://www.goredforwomen.org/ to learn more about going red for women.  Have a great weekend and try to stay warm, its cold and windy here.
