Mother's Day

It's Thursday, can you believe it I'm posting two days in a row?  It's raining here, lots going on as we start to look forward to the weekend.  I'm back again to share another curtain fold card that I made using some left over paper from another card and a few pearl gems.  I am sharing today's card for the any holiday challenge over at Hiding in my Craft Room  and the use your scraps challenge over at Use Your Stuff.   I really need to step up my game if I am going to get Mother's Day cards made and in the mail in time!  I have to get my LO mojo in gear because I have some LOs to complete for a gift album too.

Take care and have a terrific Thursday!

Photo Booth

Hello and happy Wednesday, yesterday's nice temps ended with lots of rain last night.  We woke up to more seasonal temps this morning.  Today I am sharing a project that I made for one of my friends that hosted a birthday party last Saturday.  When she made her request she sent me a Crankin' Out Ctafts (Ben Franklin) you tube video,   I used the measurements in the video to cut the hole in the foam core board along with cuts from my cricut, cameo and SLICE.  I did add gems to mark the maps but you can't see them in the picture.  She wanted the colors black and yellow since he is from Pittsburgh and is an avid Steelers fan!  The only thing she had to provide is the board and I returned the cut-out portion of the board so the attendees could write birthday messages.

Thanks for your visit, have a wonderful Wednesday.

Sunday Musings

Hello and happy Sunday, I am doing a driveby post as I have been so busy as I haven't had a chance to share on my blog.  I spent the majority of last week working on a project that I will share later this week.  Today I am sharing a card that I made using some leftover paper from an unfinished project that I started last week too!  Today's card is one that I am sharing over at Scraps of Color for an encouragement challenge.  The pattern paper is from the Kahty Davis Happiness paper pad, I picked it up a few years ago on clearance at JoAnn's added a piece of ribbon, a few gems and pop dotted the stamped sentiment and the card was done!

Take care and have a wonderful week.

Happy 90th

Hello and happy Tuesday!  I am still playing catch up after being out of town last week, I had planned to share while I was away but I just didn't have time.  Today I am sharing a card that is going postal late to someone that celebrated their 90th birthday yesterday.  The card was requested by his daughter who is a member of the FB card angel group, The sketch  inspiration for the card came from this week's Mojo Monday challenge.   I am happy to share I was one of the Mojo Madness April Winners!  The card base and pattern paper are Recollections, I also used stamps and punches from my stash along with some pop dots and this card was done.   I am also sharing this card for this week's punch challenge over at Use Your Stuff.  I used two punches on this card, a circle and banner punch.

Thank you for your visit and have a wonderful day.  The weather is nice so I just may take a walk for lunch.

Hello Friday

Hello and happy Friday, I meant to share this card on yesterday but as life would have it I just didn't have time.  It was a travel day for us and we had so much to do that we left three hours past our intended time.  Today I am sharing another card using  more of the smaller scraps of paper that was inspired from Maymay's video.  The paper came from a Momenta 6x6 paper pad, not sure of the name, the sentiment is from an older Stampin Up set, added a few gems and this card was done.  I am sharing today's card for the Super Scrraps Saturday Challenge over at Hiding in my Craft Room.

Take care and have a wonderful weekend.

Curtain Fold Card

Hello and happy rainy Tuesday!  I am back today to share another card that I created after watching another video from MayMay Made It, although I am pleased with the outcome I think I still need some more practice on this type of card or rather the folds.  Can you believe how much I am stepping out of my comfort zone with these cards lately!  I am happy about that part but disappointed and sad that I haven't had time to work on LOs which really is my first love.  The paper that I used came from a K&Co Specialty pad  that has been in my stash for a long time.  I even used one of my Sizzix label dies for the first and some brads that don't get alot of use!

Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a terrific Tuesday.

Sunday Musings

Hello Sunday, I am back to share another card that will be going postal on Monday.   I used inspiration from sketch #442 over at  Mojo Monday.  I used more paper from  the Indie Chic pad so I only have enough scraps to make one more card and I will be done with the pad.  I had a hard time getting a good picture.  I punched the butterflies using a MS punch,  added some pearls and heat embossed the sentiment.

I have to find sometime to get some LOs dome soon.  This is a short work week as DH and I will be heading out of town on Thursday.  I have lots to do in preparation of the trip so I may not get to share as much this week.

Thank you for your visit,  wishing you and yours a wonderful week.

Friday Musings

Hello and happy Friday, looking forward to the weekend!   I am still not feeling well and I plan to rest especially since I need to get ready for next weekend.  Today I am sharing another card that was requested for someone with cancer,  three sisters have been diagnosed and treated for three different cancers; I will be sending cards to all three of them.  The sketch inspiration for the card came from sketch #264 over at Try Stampin' on Tuesday.  I used paper from the My Mind's Eye Indie Chic 6x6 paper pad, I have just a few pieces left and that pad will be done.  The stamp is from the Creative Card Angel from Pink Bow Ties, it was created exclusively for the FB group.

Take care and have a wonderful weekend.

Skinny Card

Hello and happy Wednesday, it is cold outside the heat has been on almost all night.  What happened to Spring, I am feeling a little under the weather but I am pressing on.  There always seems to be so much to do and so little time.  Today I am sharing  a card that I made for one of the card angels from our FB group; as a matter of fact two of them are celebrating their birthday today.  I used more paper from the Momenta paper pad.  The stamp is from the Dylusions Courture Collection;  after not buying the stamp set in Tuesday Morning I decided to buy it from Hobby Lobby last week.  I am just a sucker for all things marked clearance, I'm proud of myself for using it right away and not letting it sit in the bag!

Wishing you and yours a wonderful Wednesday!

Monday Musings

Hello and happy Monday, beautiful day here but back to much cooler temps tomorrow!  Back to work today after being off for a few days and of course I didn't get as much done as I had originally planned.  I did manage to have an evening of fun with one of my girlfriends as we attended a fundraising event that included seeing a musical of the play Little Shop of Horrors.  Today I am sharing a card that was created using inspiration from a you tube video over at Maymay Made it!  This was a wonderful way to use paper scraps and it means I am almost done with another 6x6 paper pad.  I even used one of the companion stamp sets for the CTMH Artiste cricut cartridge for the first time.  I was so pleased with the way this card came out that I'll be using this technique again real soon!

Thank you for your visit, hope you'll come by again soon!

Anniversary Greetings

It's raining here again this morning so I feel another day of laziness in my future!  I made this card for my scrapping friend Felisa who is celebrating her 11th wedding anniversary next week.   It has already gone postal so it should arrive o time.   The sketch inspiration for the card came from sketch #441 over at  Mojo Monday.  I used paper from a Momenta 6x6 paper pad that I picked up at TM a while back.  It is one with 48 sheets so I have been and will be using it for a while!  I have fallen behind with my LOs again so I hope I can find some time today or even tomorrow after church.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful weekend.
