Daddy Daughter Date

Today I'm sharing my latest LO in the Anytime, Anywhere Scrapbooking Experience challenge hosted by Tiare from iClassygirl.com. I still have several LOs that I need to complete for this challenge series but I'm not sure when I'll get them done since I have alot going on right now. The pictures used in this LO were of DH and DD at Daddy Daughter Date night at Chick-fil-a last summer. I didn't go so I just used the picture that they posted on their website. The LO was fairly simple to complete since I decided to used the invitation for the title and journaling and just add a few embellishments.

The "EP" Trifecta

Today I'm sharing a LO that I've been working on for sometime and finally settling on a sketch from Sketch Inspiration. The LO uses pictures of my FIL, DH and DD taken while my DH was still recuperating from the accident. Three generations with the same initials. The title was cut with two different Slice cartridges.

Heritage Celebration

The month of February is winding down and I hadn't posted anything in relation to the celebration of our heritage. Today I'm sharing a LO using pictures taken at a Black History Celebration that we attended a few weeks ago. The service was at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Washinton, DC. The guest speaker was Ambassador Edward Perkins, Retired. He was appointed by President Reagan as Ambassador to South Africa, he is also a member of the same fraternity as my husband. After the service there was a reception, question and answer period and book signing.

This sketch for this LO is also for the Anytime Anywhere Scrapbooking Experience challenge hosted by Tiare over at iClassygirl.com. This is the sketch for week #4 of this year.

Thank You

If you have spoken to me recently or saw my post last Wednesday and you have had me and my family in prayer I wanted to thank you. I wanted to share that God finished his work with my aunt Gloria here on earth and she passed. Even though there are many unanswered questions and our hearts are heavy I do believe she's in a better place now. Please continue to lift us in prayer.

More Rehab

Today I'm sharing another LO that I oompleted for DH's accident album. It uses pictures of him the first day of his rehab at a facility. All of his previous rehab had been done when he was hospitalized and at home. This was mid May almost six months since the accident. The title and embellishments were cut with the Slice, recently I've used it more than my cricut. I used a MS punch for the butterflies and the paper is from the Michael's Recollections line.

One Less Screw

Today I'm sharing another completed LO for DH's accident album; I have mixed feelings about the LO but I'm not redoing it as DH wants me to finish the album soon. The LO uses pictures from his leg a few days after his last surgery where the doctor removed one of the screws in his knee because he was experiencing pain and it was prohibiting his rehab progess. I used thickers, misc paper, a flower from my stash and the journaling tag was cut using my slice. It is also one of my latest LOs for the Anytime, Anywhere, Scrapbooking Experience challenge being hosted by Tiare over at iClassygirl.

Hello Wednesday

Today I'm asking you to pray for someone very dear to me and family. My aunt is in a battle for her life and we as her family are struggling to keep the faith. There are many things that I could say right now but my heart is heavy and I'm too emotional so I just ask that you pray for her and and our family that we are able to accept the will of God.
