Sunday Musings

Hello Sunday, doing a quick drive by post to share this anniversary card that I created.  I used more scraps of paper and sketch inspiration from Atlantic Hearts challenge #643 and a sentiment die that was gifted to me many years ago and this was my first time using it.  I finished the card by adding some enamel hearts from Bo Bunny.  This card is going postal tomorrow to someone celebrating their anniversary on Saturday, I hope it make it in time!

Thank you for your visit, continue to be safe and hurry back soon.

Together

Good morning, I'm up early playing before I do some chores and worship online.  Today's project share is a LO using a picture taken the day after Christmas which was my parents 59th wedding anniversary. I used sketch inspiration from the January single page challenge over at Stick it Down.  I used papers from my stash, the base and pattern sheet is from  Love Nicole paper, a die cut from the Silhouette design store,  Heddi Swapp sticker a TH small talk sticker and Recollections cork and enamel stickers.

Thank you for your visit, stay safe and hurry back soon.

Quite the Pear

Hello and happy Thursday, more seasonal temps today so not a lot of outside movement for me.  I go back to work tomorrow so I am just resting from the holiday, doing a few chores.  Today's project share is an anniversary card that uses sketch inspiration from the Fall to Layout #78 - Take Two from Palm Trees & Pogo Sticks.  I pulled some more papers from my scrap stash after stamping the pears, cut the circles using a Spellbinders die, added a few gems from my stash and the card was done!  The stamp set is one of the Studio G iclear stamps.  Thank you for your visit and I hope you will return soon.

Sunday Musings

Hello and happy Sunday, I meant to post yesterday but time got away from me.  Today I am sharing a card that I put together using sketch inspiration from challenge #218 from (CAS(E).  I really like this sketch so I made two cards using paper from my scrap stash, on this card I stamped a sentiment and added a few gems.  I think it looks better in person,  it was cloudy outside when the picture was taken so it isn't as crisp.  Thank you for your visit, best wishes to you and yours for a wonderfully blessed week.

Love

Hello Tuesday, seasonal temps and of course all the other issues that come along with all of the pollen.  Today I am sharing another anniversary card that I put together using one of Mary's sketches from Cardz TV.  I used sketch #12, I am so all over the place I have got to get organized.  I've been so busy working on cards that my LO challenge has been neglected.  The papers used on this card came from the MME Honey Cake 6x6 pad, the sentiment die was part of a set I received from my scrapping BFF for my birthday and the gems from Hobby Lobby.  Take care and have a terrific Tuesday.

Tuesday Musings

Hello and happy Tuesday, cool temps and rain here today.  Today I am sharing another anniversary card, I am still not finished with anniversary cards!  I really like how this one came out as I have been wanting to try this style of card for quite sometime.  I used a stitched rounded rectangle die, some Dollar Tree foil  paper and Sizzix word dies to create this one layer card.  I added the layer to the card base with foam tape.  I will be making this style of card again soon!  I am sharing this card for the sentiment only challenge over at CAS on Sunday.   Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll come back soon.

Happy Anniversary

Hello Saturday, the forecast calls for nice weather today.  Wow, it has been a long time since I have shared on my blog for a whole week, seven days straight!  It just means I have been busy documenting memories and creating cards.  I looked at my calendar and I have quite a few friends celebrating anniversaries next month so I am getting them done now!  For this card I used sketch #280 from Freshly Made Sketches for inspiration, paper from the American Crafts Crimson 6x6 paper pad and some Recollections enamel dots. Take care and enjoy your weekend.

Happy Anniversary

Hello and happy Wednesday aka hump day!  We have cooler temps and cloudy skies so that means I won't be in a hurry to go outside for anything.  Today I am sharing an anniversary card that I put together for one of my friends that will be celebrating her anniversary next week.  I sure hope I follow through with getting it in the mail so that it can arrive on time.  I used sketch #485 from Mojo Monday and some American Crafts paper that I picked up in Tuesday Morning last year.  The stamped sentiment is from the Verve Wishing You stamp set.   I also used some twine, sequins and  hearts that were cut from the Beyond Birthdays cricut cartridge.  Take care and have a wonderful Wednesday.

Anniversary Greetings

It's raining here again this morning so I feel another day of laziness in my future!  I made this card for my scrapping friend Felisa who is celebrating her 11th wedding anniversary next week.   It has already gone postal so it should arrive o time.   The sketch inspiration for the card came from sketch #441 over at  Mojo Monday.  I used paper from a Momenta 6x6 paper pad that I picked up at TM a while back.  It is one with 48 sheets so I have been and will be using it for a while!  I have fallen behind with my LOs again so I hope I can find some time today or even tomorrow after church.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful weekend.

Wednesday Wanderings

We made it, just two more work days and then it's the weekend.  Nice weather, just a little breezy.  Today I am sharing another card that I made for the FB card angel group for a couple celebrating their 50th.    I really like how the card came out after going to several variations and embellishments.  The flower is from Webster and it was the last one in the pack that I received from another crafting sister.

So what's on tap for your Easter holiday weekend?   On Saturday, we will be volunteering at a water drive for Flint, Michigan and Sunday I will probably go visit my parents since I didn't go last month.   The kids here will be on spring break next week so I took off a few days to hang out with my daughter, not sure what we'll be doing.  Take care and enjoy the rest of your week.

Happy Anniversary

Hello and happy Thursday, it is really cold here today!  When we woke up yesterday there was a little bit of snow on the cars and other surfaces but nothing like the blizzard we had a few weeks ago!  I am back today to share a card that I made for one of the members of the FB angel card group.  She and her husband are celebrating their 19th anniversary on Valentine's Day, her card is done and will go postal later today but I doubt it will make it to her on time!  All items used on the card came from my stash and the sketch inspiration came from challenge #106 over at Can You Case it?  Take care and make it a great day!

Sweet Sunday Sketch

Hello and happy Friday,  yesterday was the second anniversary of my sister's death and I was too emotional to finish the memorial LO that I had planned to share.  Today I am sharing an anniversary card that I made for the FB card group and it's going postal later today.  The sketch inspiration for this card came from  sketch #283 from the Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge blog.  I used more papers from the Pink Paislee Bella Rouge pad along with some bling and the card was done.

Take care and have a wonderful weekend.

Throwback Thursday

I am back today sharing a card that I put together using inspiration from a sketch that was posted over at CAS(E) this sketch  last Thursday, hence the reason for the title.  While reading my emails early this morning I saw a post on another blog where they used this sketch so I ran downstairs and put this card together before I came into work.  I love clean and simple and this worked just fine for me!  I have been on a roll making cards lately but it seems like I have to send them out as soon as I make them.  I used more paper from the Pink Paislee Bella Rouge 6x6 paper pad (I have been using it a lot lately), a stamped sentiment and a few K& CO heart embellishments and the card was done!

Take care and  enjoy the last days of summer!

Happy Anniversary

Hello Tuesday, although it is rainy and cold here I'm thankful that it's not snowing.  I am still tired and sleepy after  a wonderful weekend of  celebrating our daughter's 14th birthday.

Today I am sharing one of the anniversary cards that I made, using paper scraps, a Darice embossing folder and a stamp.  I can't remember which blog I was visiting when I saw the inspiration for this card but I liked the look of it and decided to make three variations of it.  Now I have all my anniversary cards for this month done!

I am sharing today's card for this week's Love Theme challenge over at the  Use Your Stuff Challenge Blog.

Something to Celebrate

Hello Sunday and welcome to another week to celebrate gratitude!  Today's post is an annivsary card  that will be going postal within the next few days to one of my friends.  I didn't have a plan or a sketch when I started this car I just pulled out some paper scraps from my stash.  I also wanted to use the cartridge Something to Celebrate that I won from Cricutbarista over at A Cart a Week she is a talented crafter and her blog is full of inspiration.  The love birds were cut from the cartridge at 2 1/2 and popped on a mat that was embossed with a Paper Studio heart folder.  I  like how the competed card looks,  after all it is the thought that counts.

I am sharing this card for this week's #176 Freestyle challenge over at  Hiding in my Craft Room.

Have a great week, if you see someone without a smile remember to give them one of yours!

Anniversary Card

Its Friday and I'm back today to share another card that I made, two days in a row!  I'm happy to report that I used both my silhoutte cameo and cricut expression this week!  Today's card is another signature simple card that I created using the Best of 2009 cricut cartridge; the cuts were originally on the Sweetheart cartridge.  I need to explore using this cut  more since I didn't use all of the layers.  I also used the Love's in the Air cuttlebug folder for the embossing along with a few pearl embellishments.  I sure hope the recepient likes it!

Anniverary Card

I have been doing a little creating but not alot and I haven't had a chance to post the cards that I have been making.  I'm still trying to work with my stash so I'm proud to say that this card was made with paper scraps and embellishments from my stash.  I just need to take some time and go through my scraps and make lots  of cards so I am not scrambling when I need a card.  So today I am sharing a simple anniversary card that will be going postal later today, I hope the recepient likes it!  Wishing you a happy scrappin' week; thoughts and prayers for those in the pathway of the severe weather.

Anniversary Card

I was so exicted to post yesterday's LO that I forgot to share the card that I made for my in-laws.   We all went out to dinner rather than having my mother-in-law cook as we usally go to their house for dinner on Sunday.   They celebrated 52 years of marriage yesterday and I made this card for them.  The inspiration for this card came from CAS(E) and I'll probably use this sketch again later this week for some Mother's Day cards.  All items used came from my stash, the glitter tape is from recollections and the flowers from a RAK that I received from another scrapper!  Its a rainy Monday here so I'll be trying to stay dry!
