Tuesday Musings

Hello and happy Tuesday, doing a quick drive by post to share another card; trying to do better in posting.  I created today's card using sketch inspiration from Try a Sketch on Tuesday #664, rather than straight lines I used torn edges.  The papers came from a very old Graphic 45 6x6 paper pad, I  heat embossed the sentiment and added a few gems and this card was done. I am all in my stash trying to declutter and decrease!

Thank you for your visit, take care and hurry back again soon.

Just Because

Hello Sunday evening, just doing a quick drive by post to share a card that I created using sketch inspiration from Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge #617.  I used papers from a Bella Blvd Make Your Mark 6x8 paper pad and some Recollections gold paper to cut the heart doily.  Added a few gems and a stamped sentiment and this card was done.  Another card created that will be included in a swap that is due at the end of this week!

Thank you for your visit, continue to take care and be safe.  Hurry back again soon!

CIU #324 - Tie it Up

Hello and happy Friday, it has been a winter weather week.  I have worked from home the past two days but it’s back in the office today.

Today's project share is my project for the Cut it Up challenge blog, the theme for challenge #324 is Tie it Up.  We were to use string, twine or ribbon.  When putting my card together I went through my stash looking for a Spring themed paper pad, I pulled out a very old American Crafts 6x6 paper pad called Spring and used two different patterns, cut a vellum oval using a die and a Darice die to cut the flowers. I tied a bow using a piece of ribbon that i received in a swap recently, stamped and die cut the sentiment using a Spellbinders set.  The gems used for the flower centers were included in the swap as well.  I am sharing this card for the Anything Goes challenge #248 over at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends.

Now that you've seen my Tie it Up project, I hope you will visit the Cut it Up challenge blog for more inspiration; create and share your own project.  The challenge starts today and ends Monday, March 2, 2025 at noon PST.

Love You a Ton

It's Saturday morning and I should be still asleep but there's just too much going on that I can't really rest well  So I am up organizing and make more of a mess!  Today's card was suppose to be shared yesterday but as life would have it I didn't finish the post so here it goes today!  I created this card using sketch inspiration from challenge #663 over at  Try a Sketch on Tuesday.  I used more scraps for the strips from a really old Stampin' Up paper pad that was gifted to me many years ago.  The hippo and sentiment is  from the Stampin' Up Hippest Hippos set.  I tried more coloring but now that I'm writing this maybe I should have colored the hippo a different color.

Thank you for your visit, continue to take care and visit as time permits.

Happy Galentine

Hello Tuesday night almost Wednesday early morning.  We had some snow flurries today; no school, remote work and the day ended with sleet.  I'm doing a quick drive by to finish this post that I started on Monday.  I created the background by using random strips of paper from the My Minds Eye Lucky in Love 6x6 paper pad, trying to finish it off this year so maybe I can get some new Valentine paper next year!  I used a Honey Bess stamp set for the sentiment and finished by adding some flat heart gems from Recollections.  I am sharing this card for the Anything Goes challenge #84 over at Love to Craft.

Thank you for your visit, take care and hurry back again soon.

CIU #323 - Makes Me Smile

Hello Friday and let the weekend begin! It has been rough and finding the time to share hasn’t been easy. Today, I am sharing a layout for m design team project for the Cut it Up challenge blog.  The theme for challenge #323 is Makes Me Smile. The challenge starts today and ends on Monday, February 17, 2025 at noon PST. I hope you will create and share your project, don’t forget to use a die cut on your project.

When putting this sleeping beauty layout together I used a picture of my daughter while she was napping in the car.  Both of my children when they were young would usually sleep during car rides. When putting my layout together I used most random pieces of paper from my stash, cut the circle using my Cricut, and a heart die set from the Dollar Tree,  This signature clean and simple layout also  includes some stickers and gems.

I am sharing this project for this month’s heart themed challenge over at Crafty Calendar Challenge. Thank you for your visit, continue to be safe and hurry back soon.

Share the Love

Hello and Happy Heart Health Month!  Doing a quick drive by post as I've been extremely busy  just trying to maintain.  Today's card was created using sketch inspiration from an My Favorite Things sketch.  I committed to sending cards to some widows this year as part of my participation in a card group on FB.  I used more papers that have been in my stash for years, a Spellbinders heart die, a MFT banner die for the sentiment and finished by adding a Recollections heart sticker.  I am sharing this card for the February Anything Goes challenge over at A Cut Above and challenge #540 Crafty Remnants over at Shopping Our Stash.  My remnant was the glitter paper still out on my desk from Christmas projects!

Thank you for your visit, take care and hurry back again soon!
