CIU #323 - Makes Me Smile

Hello Friday and let the weekend begin! It has been rough and finding the time to share hasn’t been easy. Today, I am sharing a layout for m design team project for the Cut it Up challenge blog.  The theme for challenge #323 is Makes Me Smile. The challenge starts today and ends on Monday, February 17, 2025 at noon PST. I hope you will create and share your project, don’t forget to use a die cut on your project.

When putting this sleeping beauty layout together I used a picture of my daughter while she was napping in the car.  Both of my children when they were young would usually sleep during car rides. When putting my layout together I used most random pieces of paper from my stash, cut the circle using my Cricut, and a heart die set from the Dollar Tree,  This signature clean and simple layout also  includes some stickers and gems.

I am sharing this project for this month’s heart themed challenge over at Crafty Calendar Challenge. Thank you for your visit, continue to be safe and hurry back soon.

CIU #305 - Anything Goes

Hello and happy Friday, let the weekend begin!  Today's project share is a layout created for the Cut it Up challenge blog.  The theme for challenge #305 is Anything Goes and I decided to share a layout since memory documenting is what I like to do.

Earlier this month we celebrated hospital week at my job, so I decided to document what we did in our building everyday.  Monday we had doughnuts and coffee, I used Sizzix dies to cut those two items.  This was the first year where we celebrated in what has been stated in such a grand way with lots of food and fun. I used the cricut for the pizza and another die set for the drink.  I am doing very well with my layouts for this quarter!

Please head over tot he Cut it Up challenge blog for more design team inspiration, create and share your project using a die cut.  The challenge starts today and ends Wednesday,  June 12, 2024 at noon PST.

Thank  you for your visit, take care and hurry back soon!

CIU #302 - Starts with the Letter B

Hello and happy Friday, looking forward to the weekend!  Today's project is for the Cut it Up challenge blog; the theme for challenge #302 is starts with the letter B.  I chose the word books and I created a layout.

When putting my layout together I used papers from an old Dear Lizzy She's Magic 12x12 paper pad.  I also used one of the cut-a-parts from the pad, cut the owl and books using a die set; used several alphabet stickers or the title.  This is one of my projects where I don't think the picture does it justice; it looks better in person.  I created this layout because I recently started a challenge where I am going back to one of my favorite past times, reading books; I love to turn pages; don't care to read books my electronic devices.  I'm sharing this project for the Anything Goes challenge #254 over at Crafty Gals Corner.

I hope you will visit the Cut it Up challenge blog for more starts with a B inspiration, create and share your project.  The challenge starts today and ends Wednesday,  May 1, 2024 at noon PST.

Thank you for your visit, take care and hurry back soon!

CIU #291 - Friends and Family

Hello Friday, let the weekend begin! The hustle and bustle of the Thanksgiving holiday will be in full force. Today’s project share is my design team project for challenge #291 at the Cut it Up challenge blog,  the theme is Friends and family.

I created a layout using pictures taken of my sister,  one of our cousins and myself at a football earlier this month.  Family love is powerful and an added bonus when you your family members are friends too! I used papers from the CTMH Evensong paper pack, a  Sizzix Herat die and a few other items from my stash. This was my first time using the heart die that I picked up from HL on clearance and the paper  was gifted to me recently.  Happy to have another layout done, still got a ways to go to meet my yearly goal.

Now you should visit the Cut it Up  challenge blog for more design team inspiration, create and share your own Friends and Family project using a die.  The challenge starts today and ends Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at noon PST.

Thank you for your visit, continue to be safe and hurry back soon.

Tuesday Musings

Good morning and happy less humid Tuesday; I won't even start to talk about the weather and all that's going on right now.  I have been creating but not really sharing on my blog; it's hard trying to navigate this social media presence!  Today I am doing a quick drive by to share a scrapbook LO that I recently completed; as scrapbooking is really my passion!  I created this LO using a picture taken recently with my father during a family event; the only thing that pains me is that my mom is not well so we rarely take pictures.  Most of the papers came from an old Authentique pad, stickers from Heidi Swapp and Paper Studio, enamel hears and a heart paper clip from my stash!

Thank you for your visit, continue to be safe and hurry back again soon.

CIU #273 - This Makes Me Happy

Hello and happy Friday, I'm back today to share my latest design team project for the Cut it Up challenge blog.  The theme for challenge #273 is This Makes me Happy, I decided to create a layout since I am so behind on my layout challenges.   Coffee makes me happy but it is not good for me since I have to add flavored cream and syrup!  I have given up coffee for Lent hoping to decrease my desire to have it, I just can't tolerate it black.

The layout sketch was inspired by one created by another crafter  and shared on IG at @shesgottascrap.  I used pattern paper from the Park Lane Classic Chic paper pad,  a Sizzix tag die, a piece of metallic trim from the Target Dollar Spot, some enamel dots and hearts from my stash.  I added some paint splatters, used my Dynamo label maker and AC letter stickers for the title.

I hope you will visit the Cut it Up challenge blog for more inspiration, create and share your project. The challenge starts today and ends Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at noon, PST.

Thank you for your visit, continue to be safe and don't forget to Spring forward if applicable for your state!  Hurry back soon!

Before and After

Hello and happy Tuesday, another mild weather day in the forecast.  Today's project share is a scrapbooking layout that I created using sketch inspiration from Sketch N Scrap sketch #266. I used miscellaneous papers, used the remaining hexagon gem from a package that had been in my stash for a long time, cut the gifts using the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge and added a few email dots. The letters for the title came from two differ alphabet sticker packs.  I think it looks better in person, it was foggy outside this morning so I had a hard time trying to take the picture!

Thank you for your visit, I hope you will return soon.

Thursday Mustings

Hello and happy Thursday, mini Friday let the weekend begin.  I started this post yesterday and for some reason I never hit the publish button so here I am tweaking it!   I'm back today to share another one of the layouts that I created for the National Scrapbooking Day.  I'm still really behind but such is life, I'll get it done as time permits that goes for the chores and everything else in life. For this 8 1/2 x 11 scrapbook page I used a picture taken of Baby Girl on Valentine's Day while she was out dining with one of her aunts.  I used a pagemaps sketch for inspiration, paper scraps, washi tape, stickers, dies and a embossing folder.

Thank you for your visit, hurry back soon!

Happy Mother's Day

Good morning and Happy Sunday, Mother's Day and the start to a new week!  I am doing a quick drive by to share a LO that I put together yesterday, the only one that I completed for National Scrapbooking Day.  I had intentions of doing more but of course I didn't!  I used sketch inspiration from Sketch N Scrap #248, papers from the Simple Stories Faith 12x12 paper pad, the Spellbinder's Blooms #1 die set, enamel dots and pearl embellishments.  I stamped the title with an American Crafts stamp that I picked up in JoAnn's earlier this year. I added the journaling on the back, I took this selfie one day as I walked back home after dropping my car off to be serviced, I wanted to document me wearing a jumper that I had picked up from Aldi one of my favorite grocery stores!

Thank you for your visit, hope you have an amazing love filled day!

Hello and happy Friday, today's project share is my design team project for the latest Cut it Up challenge. The theme for challenge #246 is Women+s History and the sponsor is CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.

I have been in women’s history mode all month so I decided to put together a layout, I wasn’t able to finish my original idea.  I used paper from an old Recollections pad, pictures from the internet, dies to cut the tag and flag, stamps.  The main sentiment is the focal point so I only added a few embellishments, the you are strong stamp is from the sponsors’s Calm & Loving stamp set.

Brothers

Hello and happy Wednesday, another nice weather day in the forecast.  Today's drive by post is a recently completed LO using a picture of my dad and two of his brothers taken last year while we were attending a memorial service for one of our family members that passed due to covid.  Some of the paper and embellishments came from a family themed kit that I picked up in Hobby Lobby.  The enamel hearts and gems have been in my stash for a long time and I added the journaling after I took the picture.  I have a goal of completing at least 40 layouts this year, this is my 8th LO so I am off to a good start just two more to meet the 10 layouts per quarter!

Thank you for your visit and hurry back soon!
