CIU #338 - That's Funny

Hello Friday, although it has been a short work week it has felt long!  Today's project share was created for the Cut it Up challenge blog.  The theme for challenge #338 is That's Funny, the challenge was to create something humorous; and for me that was indeed a challenge!   While sorting and de-cluttering my stash I  found some older never before used Sizzix Tim Holtz stamp and die sets so I decided to use the Cat Chat set.  The embossing folder was a part of the set too,  stamped and cut the cat, popped it on a polaroid die cut and added to the embossed layer. I used some glittered  letter stickers for the sentiment and this card was done!

I am sharing this card for the monthly Anything Goes using a die challenge over at A Cut Above and the Just Us Girls challenge 3791 - Die Week.

I hope that you will visit the Cut it Up challenge blog for more inspiration, create and share your humorous project using a die cut.  The challenge starts today and ends Monday, September15, 2025 at noon PST.

Thank you for your visit, all the best to you and yours.  I hope you will visit again soon.

Celebrate

Hello Thankful Thursday, I wanted to share this post yesterday but as life would have it I just didn't get around to it!  For this card I used a sketch shared on the Stick it Down FB group, some random papers from Momenta and My Mind's Eye and  some dies from my stash! This card came together nicely, hoping my crafting mojo will return soon.  I am sharing this card for the August monthly charge over at A Cut Above and the Word Art Wednesday Anything Goes for the weeks 712 and 713.

Thank you for your visit, continue to be safe and hurry back soon!

Sunday Musings

Hello Sunday, my intention was to share this post yesterday but as life would go things changed.  Last week's  theme for 2Crafters1Design over on YT and IG was movies, perfect time for me to use a die set for the first time!  I used sketch inspiration from Atlantic Hearts challenge #638, papers from a Momenta pack, stamped a sentiment and added some Freckled Fawn enamel stars.  I used some antique linen ink on the popcorn might have to try something different the next time; I still think it came out fairly well.  I am also sharing this card for the Anything Goes monthly challenge over at A Cut Above.  It has been hard but I have to de-clutter and stop hoarding my crafty stash!

Thank you for your visit, stay safe and be mindful of your surroundings.  Hurry back soon!

Your’re so Sweet

Hello Monday, doing a quick drive by post to share a card that I put together over the weekend. I really like how it came out but I am not sure about cutting all those strawberries again; this was my first time using this particular die set. I also used a scalloped edge frame die, a scrapbook.com die set for the sentiment and a few tiny CTMH gems. I am sharing this card for the You Are so Sweet  challenge #549 over at Shopping Our Stash and the June Anything Goes monthly challenge over at A Cut Above challenge blog.

Thank you for your visit, take care and hurry back again soon.

Wednesdayy Musings

Hello and happy Wednesday,  just doing a quick drive by post as it seems I never seem to find the time to share.  Today's card was created because I wanted to use my postage stamp die and some other things that I had pulled out to work on some challenges.  I 've had these Paper Studio stickers in my stash for some years so I decided to use them for a women's accessories challenge over on IG.  This one will sit in my stash for a few months until it is ready to go postal to a special friend!  I am sharing this card for the Anything Goes challenge #262 over at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends and the May, Anything Goes challenge over at A Cut Above die cut challenge blog.

Thank you for your visit, continue to be safe and hurry back again soon!

Monday Musings

Hello Monday, raining outside which hopefully will help the grass, flowers and some relief from the seasonal pollen.  I haven't shared much recently but I hope to get back into creating and sharing soon, the recent loss of my mother has had me in a different place.  I know that God has me covered and this season of mourning is not forever.  Today's card share is one that I created for a Crafty Dare challenge over on IG.  The  three dares were postage stamp (die), music themed (paper) and a pocket (die).  I like how it came out and will be sending it to someone soon; I used a Pink & Main stamp set for the sentiment and inside greeting.  I am sharing this card for the Anything Goes Monthly challenge over at A Cut Above and the Word Art Wednesday challenge for weeks #692 and #693.

Thank you for your visit, take care, show kindness and hurry back again soon.

Wednesday Musings

Hello and happy nice weather day, feels like Spring is trying to make its way into our area!  Today's drive by post is a fitting post for what lies ahead!  Today's card was created using scraps of paper from my stash and a Spellbinder's die set, it is called Step into Spring.  I really like it and it may sit in my stash before I decide to pass it along; I will probably create another project using that die set again soon.   I am sharing this card for the March Anything Goes challenge over at A Cut Above.

Thank you for your visit, take care and hurry back again soon!

Share the Love

Hello and Happy Heart Health Month!  Doing a quick drive by post as I've been extremely busy  just trying to maintain.  Today's card was created using sketch inspiration from an My Favorite Things sketch.  I committed to sending cards to some widows this year as part of my participation in a card group on FB.  I used more papers that have been in my stash for years, a Spellbinders heart die, a MFT banner die for the sentiment and finished by adding a Recollections heart sticker.  I am sharing this card for the February Anything Goes challenge over at A Cut Above and challenge #540 Crafty Remnants over at Shopping Our Stash.  My remnant was the glitter paper still out on my desk from Christmas projects!

Thank you for your visit, take care and hurry back again soon!

CIU #321 - Something New

Hello and happy cold Friday, it's has been a week of challenges but nothing like what's going on in Southern California.  Today's card share is my design team project for challenge #321 over at the Cut it Up challenge blog.  The theme for this challenge is  Something New.  I chose to use a stamp and die set that I received for a Christmas gift from one of my co-workers.

I used the Concord and 9th We Go Together stamp and die set, with some miscellaneous papers, added a Recollections enamel heart and some Gina Marie enamel dots and this card was done.  This stamp and die set has lots of other elements so I'll be using it again soon! I am sharing this card for the January Anything Goes challenge over at A Cut Above.

I hope you will visit the Cut it Up challenge blog for more design team inspiration, create and share your project using some newly added or never before used dies from your stash.  The challenge starts today and ends Monday, January 20, 2025 at noon PST.

Thank you for your visit, continue to be safe and hurry back again soon.

Tuesday Musings

Hello and happy Tuesday, mild temps in today's forecast. Doing a quick drive by post to share a card created as part of a swap that I spent the weekend finishing.  The theme was Fall and I used my postage stamp die as my focal point. I had mixed feelings about some of the cards that I created but I really liked this one!  I did some inking, stamping, die-cutting and added some Recollections fabric flowers.

I am sharing this card for the Anything Goes monthly challenge over at A Cut Above, challenge #177 over at Double Trouble and the October Anything Goes challenge over at Cards Galore.

Thank you for your visit, take care and hurry back soon.

Monday Musings

Hello and happy Monday, I'm stopping in to do a drive by post of another card. My original plan was to share yesterd but as you can see that  didn't happen.  Today's share is a card created using some gingerbread dies that I recently added to my stash during the Amazon Prime days!  The plaid paper is from Park Lane and the foil is from Recollections. The orginial plan was to use a cookie sheet but I didn't have a die that was sized in proportion with my card but I've since added one from the Silhouette design store for futuer use!  I've gotten really lazy which means my electronic diecutting machines aren't my "go to" tool of choice! I'm sharing this card for the August Anything Goes challenge over at A Cut Above, another blog that host monthly challenges where you can share projects created using dies.

Thank you for your visit, take care and hurry back again soon.

Tuesday Musings

Hello Tuesday, doing a quick drive by post to share another 4th of July card that I put together last week.  I meant to share it on the 4th but as life would have it I didn't get a chance to create the post.  I have several dies in my stash that I hadn't used yet so I decided to use the postage stamp die and some paper scraps  from the Pebbles  Americana 6x6 pad.  The die did most of the work so I just added a stamped sentiment, a few star gems and attached it the card base with some dimensional adhesive tape.  I am sharing this card for the inaugural challenge over at A Cut Above and the Shopping Our Stash challenge #525 never before used stuff which in this case was the postage stamp die. I had never used it because I didn't purchase anything else to go along with it.  Maybe one day I'll get some of the accompanying items but for now I'll use it! I like how this card came out; I have already started working on my next project using this die.

Thank you for your visit, take care and hurry back soon. Friday is post day for the Cut it Up challenge blog!
