Friday Musings

Hello Friday,  cold temps in the forecast today and I have no plans to be out in the shopping chaos.  Today I am sharing a card that I put together using sketch #110  from Sketch N Scrap.  I used more pattern paper from the Hot Cocoa  paper pad, cut the tree using the Designer Calendar Cricut cartridge, a Hampton Arts stamp for the sentiment and a few sequins.  Another holiday card done, I just might get my cards done and in the mail on time this year!  Take care, hope you are still creating cherished memories with family and friends.

Meeting Moments

Hello Tuesday, back today to share another completed LO which makes nine and counting for the year!  It's National Craft Month and I am going to try to post on my blog everyday which is going to be a tall order. I sure hope this enables me to move some of my paper scraps and supply stash so I can become more organized!  The paper is from a Recollections paper stack, can't remember the name but I know that it's old and I bought it a deep discount, a strip of Dollar Tree washi tape and misc. stickers.  I used my Expression and my SLICE for the title; I think the LO looks better in person!

Until tomorrow, stay warm and be happy!

Something Green

Hello Friday and Happy National Women's Day!  Its cold and windy here today and I can't wait to get home because I hope to play tonight!  I'm planning to participate int he Friday Night Chat Challenges over at Scraps of Color.  I'll be rushing home to get my stuff together so I can hang out, I hope DD cooperates since DH is out of town!  Today I'm sharing a simple card that I made for St. Patrick's Day, no I'm not Irish but I am making a few cards to send out!  I'm sharing this as part of the Sistah/Brotha Blogger Challenge over at SOC for week 11 - use the color green.   I used my cuttlebug for some dry embossing, the cricut cartridge Designer Calendar and a studio g stamp for the sentiment!  Take care, stay warm and have a greet weekend.

Sunday of Hope

Today I'm sharing a LO that was inspired by a sketch posted on Colorful Creations during a recent anniversary sketch a day challenge. Although I wasn't able to complete the challenge I like this particular sketch idea. The picture that I used was taken March 2011, I don't scrap in chronological order so you'll see a mix of old and current pictures. It is a picture of some of my husband's fraternity brothers after a Sunday of Hope celebration at a local church supporting St. Jude Children's Hospital. My husband wasn't able to attend as he was still recuperating. I used several different cricut cartridges for the title, vine and hexagons. Thanks for stopping by and have a good weekend.

Recital Practice

Today I'm sharing a LO of DD practicing for her upcoming piano recital. This is the first LO that I've done of her practicing the piano even though I've taken other pictures. I'm thinking about doing a mini of her using the pictures and pictures I have of her playing the clarinet. This LO started out originally for a sketch challenge and a monthly challenge; needless to say it just didn't work out. I'm beginning to think that I'll never be able to step out of the box with my scrappin' venture. The LO inspiration is from the The Sketch Inspiration site.

Gratitude Tags

I am happy to say that I completed several LOs and cards over the Thanksgiving holiday! This is a LO that includes handwritten thankful messages from each family member on Thanksgiving Day. This will be the second page of our Thanksgiving dinner LO, I hope to finish the other page tonight.
