I wanted to post something today since I may not get a chance to post until I get back from my retreat. So today I'm sharing the LO that I put together using pictures taken of our daughter on the first day of school and the sketch inspiration was from Tiare over at iClassygirl. from the Anytime, Anywhere Scapbooking Experience challenge.
Hello Monday and hello October! I've been busy doing what I don't know since I'm way behind in everything! The weekend went way by too fast considering I haven't started packing for my upcoming weekend scrapbook retreat. I'm about to start stressing since I still need to finish a LO before I leave! Wishing everyone a blessed week.
WELCOME

Hello Saturday
Today I'm posting from Orlando, FL since we are at the Allstate Tom Joyner Family Reunion. I've been extremely busy and we're all very tired, meant to share this LO that I'm posting today before I left. Today's LO is another LO from the Anytime, Anywhere, Sketch Challenge hosted by Tiare over at iClassygirl. This sketch is from week 29 I used pictures from our visit this past spring to see the King Monument in Washington, DC. I'm not sure whether its the lighting or the colors that I used but its not a very good picture of the LO, maybe I'll redo it later. Another project completed using items from my stash, used some epoxy stickers as the only embellishment. Have a great holiday weekend!

Family in Action
Today I'm sharing a LO that I created using sketch #28 of Tiare's Anytime, Anywhere, Scrapbooking Experience challenge. I haven't been able to scrap lately but I needed some downtime last night so I finished this LO that I started over the weekend. The LO uses pictures taken during my husband's family reunion that we hosted last month. The goal of the reunion committee was to involve as many young people as possible; we are so proud of them so we always try to encourage their participation. These pictures were taken during Sunday's inspirational service where our daughter along with her first cousin served as program leaders. The speaker for the morning was one of the family's most recent college graduates. He delivered a dynamic message centered around UNITY which was the reunion's theme. He graduated from Morehouse in May and will be going to divinity school this fall.

Father's Day
The year is really flying by we are two weeks into July already! I hate the fact that I may have to step away from scrappin' for a bit while I get my house in some order. I just really need to devote some much needed time to taking care of home and I'm just not "superwoman." So today I'm sharing the LO that I created using some of the pictures that I took for Father's Day. The sketch from the LO is my latest in the Anytime, Anywhere Scrapbooking Experience Challenge hosted by Tiare over at iclassygirl. Over at Scraps of Color we are also scrappin' or stash and this month we are using metal; so I added a metal heart to this LO.

Heritage Celebration

The month of February is winding down and I hadn't posted anything in relation to the celebration of our heritage. Today I'm sharing a LO using pictures taken at a Black History Celebration that we attended a few weeks ago. The service was at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Washinton, DC. The guest speaker was Ambassador Edward Perkins, Retired. He was appointed by President Reagan as Ambassador to South Africa, he is also a member of the same fraternity as my husband. After the service there was a reception, question and answer period and book signing.
This sketch for this LO is also for the Anytime Anywhere Scrapbooking Experience challenge hosted by Tiare over at iClassygirl.com. This is the sketch for week #4 of this year.

One Less Screw

Today I'm sharing another completed LO for DH's accident album; I have mixed feelings about the LO but I'm not redoing it as DH wants me to finish the album soon. The LO uses pictures from his leg a few days after his last surgery where the doctor removed one of the screws in his knee because he was experiencing pain and it was prohibiting his rehab progess. I used thickers, misc paper, a flower from my stash and the journaling tag was cut using my slice. It is also one of my latest LOs for the Anytime, Anywhere, Scrapbooking Experience challenge being hosted by Tiare over at iClassygirl.

This is the third LO for 2012, I'm still working on last week's LO which I hope to complete by the end of the week. The pictures used in the LO were taken last summer while we were in Indiana attending the Kappa Alpha Psi 100th year celebration. DD went to a basketball camp hosted by former NBA player Johnny Newman. I used misc. paper, the basketball and wall decor and more cartridges.

Out on the Town
Today I'm sharing my latest LO in the Anytime Anywhere Scrapbooking Experience series that is being hosted by Tiare over at iclassygirl.com. This is LO#8 in the series, I used the picture that DH and I took at a Diamonds and Pearls event. In an earlier post I shared a LO using a picture of me and two of my friends that we invited to go with us this year. I used some handmade paper that I have been trying to use up for quite sometime and for the title I used some naked chipboard letters (thickers).
